Very intelligent si Sen. Peter Cayetano... I will vote him again for Senator. He will be a good President in the next 12 years.
By enforcing a limit to what a candidate can spend, it will accomplished several things. 1st: this will teach a candidate how to spend their campaign fund wisely-BUDGET. 2nd: it will stop the big money donors from buying the candidate. Hopefully, COMELEC also implemented a regulation that limits how much a corporations & individuals can donate. At the end of the election, all left over campaign fund be donated to nonprofit organization and zero out their war chest; until the next election
In regards to the campaign fund and limiting the spending, I believe it is a great idea. I am sure there will be issues, but it is a good start. Most incumbents will fight this regulation for of fear of allowing a new candidate a same level of playing field. Now, someone who does not have the money to spend to promote his/her candidacy will have the same extent as an incumbent. This idea is perfect. Here in the USA, whoever has the most money, wins the election. It needs to be changed. . . .

1. For us poor filipinos it really does not matter how much its senator recieves bcoz it is not the senators money it is the philippines money--
2. And cayetano saying that its uf poor filipinos who really wants it strict accounting and he compares it that we poor filipinos even sometimes don't have budget for food--Why if they were given equal budget can it help the food for us poor filipinos?

If truly this man is looking out for what is best for the country, he should have told all of U that this year's MOOE, will not be paid out to the senators & instead will be used to help those who suffered from the calamities that plague the country. He will make a good president someday. He's calm, intelligent, precise and knows what to say. Throughout the segment, he never criticized Enrile nor Miriam. He just simply explained what he disagrees about them. I can see the future of the Philippines in his hand.
