She updated in her monthly favorites - if she wears it too many days in a row it does cause breakouts. It's a special occasion foundation in her routine now. Hope that helps ❤️

I used to use Double Wear in my mid 40s to early 50s. I'm 73 and while my skin isn't dry I have more texture, lines and (ahem! 😂) wrinkles. Double Wear just accentuates all of that now.
Yesterday evening I ordered the Tom Ford stick foundation that you love @ 50% off. I sure hope a)it works on my mature skin and b) is the perfect shade. 73 sounds so old for channels like yours and Stephanie's but I feel45/50 and I Lovvvve watching what you two do with makeup. We're never too old to love and try all kinds of makeup. I know my limits (I cannot wear shimmery eye shadow. Only matte). I don't try to look your age. I just try to look the best 73 that I can. Watching this video does take me down Memory Lane where I'm standing at the Easter Lauder counter at Nordstrom or Macy's. I was so young and had the world by the tail! 😂 This was fun to watch. You look beautiful. Did you see that the Renergie Triple serum is $98 now instead of $140?? I ordered it. I tried a sample after you shared your love for it. I had to have more but $140 was crazy. $98 is doable.

Super fun video! It is crazy how well this foundation has stood the test of time. It also seems to work for a variety of skin types. Definitely one of my faves, also great as a mixer.

Yessss DW is a classic for a reason!! It just never fails… I used it a lot in my bridal makeup kit when I freelanced for some time. And for my oily skin, nothing else performs like this. I would love a series on this topic!
I love this foundation and I always use it, it covers dark spots well, has great staying power. When I want a perfect complexion, it's always this foundation that I use. Thank you for this video

This foundation is my tried and true fav foundation. It is full coverage but you don’t need to use a lot. I do find it clings to fry spots when my skin is dryer in the winter but it’s great either way.

This is beautiful!! I also have a shade that's a bit too light right now, so I've mixed it with some foundations to help them last longer. My favorite combo is with the Armani Luminous Silk :)
Great idea for video. I think I've used every EL foundation but Doublewear. I always thought it would be dry but now they make so many moisturizing primers I might try it❤
I've only been wearing concealer the last couple of years but before that I only ever liked and used doube wear in one thin layer. It was perfect and the only foundation that would hold up on my oily skin! Glad to see you still like it!
For the coverage it gives it’s so thin! My skin still gets congested from it though. Otherwise it’s a love from me!

The Estée Lauder Double Wear is one of my top drawer foundations. I’m curious how you would compare it to the Tom Ford foundation stick. I hope your family feels better soon.

I love this! Some interesting facts I discovered researching this for my channel, it launched in 1997 (you were so close!). The face of the ad campaign at the time was Elizabeth Hurley. It's the #1 best seller in the US among ALL foundations, not just the Estee Lauder line. There are lots of shades, 55 of them, which is nice and what I love is that if you explore here on CZcams you can see it on all types of skin shades. I always get oxidization from this product, and I find it more suitable in hot/humid weather. Anyway thanks for an amazing walk down memory lane, Cheryl, love your videos! You look flawless here ❤
ELDW is a foundation mixers favorite. I am currently mixing it with the Haus Lab foundation. Beautiful 😙
Even with my dry skin DW is my fav. I love trying new ones but hit is great. I use a small amount and my skin looks perfect but natural during the day. No transfer, stays all day and it does something to the products you put on top as blush, they stay longer.

I’ve seen this for years but never tried it. I’ve tried so many drugstore foundations and hated them all lol I like two faced and the Anastasia but the Anastasia broke me out. But I finally caved and picked this up. I see the hype! I agree about it being most flawless. This is the best I’ve ever used. I almost didn’t believe how good it was. And it doesn’t break me out! Glad I found your channel also! It was nice and relaxing hearing your review!

I picked this up from shoppers and ya I was shocked it didn’t have a pump!! I went back and bought one it was like $14 bucks !! For a pump yikes !! But it’s beautiful on you girl ❤ hope the fam jam feels better soon !!
You can use a few drops Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum to thin this foundation out a little & the finish is even more beautiful!

I just tried a sheer layer of this. A blast from the past. Looks good. Also love this lip! Do you find the floratint is longlasting?
EL Double Wear is a staple in my foundation wardrobe-I’ve used it since it was launched and it never disappoints. For a sheerer coverage-combine with a few drops of EL advanced night repair or the new EL serum foundation. (I don’t work for Estée Lauder-but they do make good products).

i used to have oily skin, and once in UK 27c weather, i got 2 buses, walked half a mile, did a job interview, then an hour physical work test, then walked a mile and a half, went clothes shopping then got a bus home, the foundation did. not. budge. i was so insanely warm all day and dressed for an interview, i was blown away. but now my skin is really really dry so i haven’t worn it in years :(
This pairs perfectly with CT flawless filter, either mixed or CT applied to forehead/cheekbone
I’d love to see how this works mixed with a serum to thin it out. This is the one foundation that the longer in the day you wear it the better it looks. I was so happy when they released lighter shades a few years ago.
It’s beautiful with their advance night repair serum mixed in! That’s the combo I use everyday!!
They do sell the pump for it, in Finland at least. I love it!

This is amazing! I found a full, sealed bottle of Estee Lauder in "blonde" and I wore it yesterday!!! It's gorgeous but it's definitely heavy and doesn't blend into the skin like today's formulations. Love it.

That's really weird because this used to be my ride or die foundation, but the formula has most definitely changed. I have incredibly oily skin & it doesn't dry down to the same matte texture, hold back shine at all & transfers so easily! So happy this is still great for you, but if anyone knows of a current foundation that can give what the old Double Wear did for us oily ladies, please please let me know!! I'm on the hunt...

I just bought Double Wear and I’m running into some major issues. I love the foundation, but my primer and skincare is silicone based so everything started to separate as I was putting it on. I can find a water based primer, but what type of sunscreen would you wear under the primer? I have Elta MD for acne prone skin, but it says it’s silicone based

This is so good for dry and rosacea skin. I have used it for many years now and more recently I use Curel intensive moisturiser first and wait a few mins before foundation...the curel is light but when you put the foundation over it then a very slightly dewy finish is what you get. I only put one layer of the foundation on and then pin point with nars concealer. I use my fingers.. you have to be quick.. it dries fast. EL sell a pump. People have said it oxidises but if kept cool/in the fridge means this does not happen. My skin is good with this and with dermatologist, Dr Sam Bunting's products.

this is the only foundation that can deal w my oily skin. everything else i’ve tried just breaks up on me and looks cakey and patchy after a few hours. i would use another brand if it just last. i’ve slept in this makeup and i’ve never broken out. mac will break me out for sure

I too have been so sick both my husband and i got covid we did not get in 4 years finally we let our guard down last week i had a bad fall went to ER in Chatham without mask and that's all it took one man came in with covid! We have been so sick it will beca week tomorrow and still positive and very week, im dying to get out of this house lol Cheryl i have the Double Wear but im afraidnto use again because my sick is now dry what do you think?
