- Hello everyone! How are you? In this video I make a Ladybug redesign! I've seen so many amazing youtubers redesigning Ladybug that I wanted to give it a go as well! I hope you like my version too 😊
Also, I wanna clarify something, when I say that some of the costumes suck, I'm not saying the artists did a bad job, so no hate towards them pls! They only do whatever the show-runners decide so they're the guilty ones 😌💖

I like Pigella’s style but I just can’t help but think it’s impractical. Like imagine she’s running and her dress just gets caught on a wall or a tree or a mailbox and she gets distracted and just loses the villain she’s chasing. 🤣🤣🤣
Omg 😂😂what a visual! I can totally imagine that, and she's stuck there until Ladybug comes to take back her miraculous. For her redesign I plan on keeping her bubbly aesthetic so she'll have the same style 😊 but a bit more practical/cooler. I still want her to have a magical vibe tho, so it's definitely gonna be a fun challenge!

I wish Ladybug had permanent wings in the show, well... more like, i wish that the holders had more caracteristics of the animals they represent, it might seem OP but it wouldn't IF the power system in the show was well thought out, like= Ladybug/Bee/Butterfly users can fly, but they are less agile on land or have inferior physical strength, Cat users being one of the fastest /agile on land, and so on. That would also give Ladybug and Chat a more interesting dinamic. I'd also rewrite and change some of the Miraculous powers because half of them are boring, unviable or just repetitive, still don't understand why we need 2 time travel powers
Thank you so much! And omg yess, these are really great ideas! If Chat was really fast, he would be able to reach destinations without only relying on his stick. And maybe Ladybug and the rest have a time limit for flight? And YES the power system is super messy, I also wanna completely change some of the powers, I feel like for the last miraculous, they kinda ran out of ideas. I really dislike the Goat one, cuz it's too similar to LB's one, I would give Caprikid the ability to manipulate gravity at will, I had this idea thinking about mountain goats and how they are able to walk on almost vertical walls! I'd also fuse the 2 time travel powers, or get rid of one
Yeah!!! I think the Bunny Miraculous could keep the time theme its has but I would change it up a bit so that instead of time travel it would be the ability to see things from Future/Past. And the Snake Miraculous could be Hypnosis by the users lyre.

@@OPardalzin YESS! I was thinking the same for the snake, cuz it has that lyre and Luka barely used it...and it's supposed to be a weapon, but it has no power? So you use it just for distraction? It's kinda dissapointing
I absolutely love Ladybug's redesign! It's stylish and elegant and looks like a fun superhero design! Since she's aspiring to become a fashion designer, I always found her actual costume to be very bland and boring, like really? Would a fashion designer come up with a plain old latex suit with polkadots on it?! (Same concept goes to Shadowmoth's design but that's it's own rant haha). Great job and I can't wait for more!!

Without bleaching or damaging it 😭 just imagine the possibilities! Ohohoo can't wait to redesign Shadowmoth! I think I'll redesign Monarch too, and Hawkmoth...it's gonna be a long vid for sure 😂
I see it as Mari imagined vaguely without thinking…about a basic ladybug so Tikki made it so. And since we know people can change their costumes, this redesign is Mari finally feeling more comfortable in her role as Ladybug. She’s having fun, getting artsy with her costume since she knew she could do it better the second time fashion wise. The protection elements are hanger-ons of Mari’s clumsiness. And you could shove in a line about wearing knee pads to kids and being “safe” like Ladybug. I also appreciate the subtle nod to ladybugs with her hair ties! It always felt like Chat’s design was so extra because Adrien was breaking free and so Mari looked flat by comparison because she going simple and straightforward. One thing that never made sense was that I know characters are known for/it’s easier animation wise to have the same outfit. But Marinette’s into fashion so even a different everyday hairstyle or accessory can show off how creative she is! Your civilian outfit really stood out as something that makes her unique instead of blending into other outfits of the show! Overall lovely work, Mari’s never looked cooler!
That redesign is so adorable! It kinda fits more with the styles most teens nowadays wear rather than an incredibly simple spandex suit with a polka dot design. It also makes a lot more sense for her to wear that as a fashion designer since it actually looks pretty good compared to the original! Your channel is incredibly underrated and I hope one day you get the recognition you deserve!

There is one thing I would like to say. I think that since you wanted to incorporate wings, but didn’t want her to be too powerful, you could have done a cape that looks like ladybug wings, kind of like Rena Rouge’s fox tail cape! Eventually she would get actual wings, but until then I think that would be a good idea!
@@POG-ist Yes, is a good idea, I've seen many artists adding a cape to symbolise the wings ands it looks great! I just, personally wanted to try something different, and didn't feel like adding one. I really wanted to add the shoulder pads and the fluffy pants more that the cape 😊 buuut, she'll have real wings when I'll draw her fusing with Tikki!

Very cute redesign! I like the added padding and panels, the male heroes all get padding and interesting silhouettes while most of the girls just have basic spandex skintight suits.
Also her civilian redesign is extra cute with the dual buns!

I like your redesign of Ladybug, it is much better. If you're making an stronger form I think it would be cool to make them half human half animal. But make them look cute and beautiful.
YES! This is exactly what I had in mind. I wanna make them look kinda like deities, beautiful but also intimidating. Kinda like Egyptian gods, but I still have to think about it.
I like the elbow pads, I don't think in the show they ever mentioned how much strain they put on their body's, so having elbow/knee pads would help ease the scrapes ladybug might get. Plus I like the idea she gets wings when she's in her most op form, as she's already op in the show. Plus the bright cyan is nice for her superhero outfit as it hides her identity better, and it's like her dying her hair without consequence
I really like the redesign! Ladybug’s original suit is so bland in my opinion. I don’t really know why they can’t just change it to something else and stick with it. It just feels strange that the main character of the show looks so 'meh' compared to some of the other superheroes, and some only appear once! Overall your design looks really cute on her! Oh, and if I may, your art style is really nice! I really love the way you draw the face and expressions. And the line work is so clean yet bold, it’s all a very beautiful combination!

I think the excuse of magic hiding their identities is an excuse to be lazy with their hero persona designs. I mean I guess you have to save money when making a show with 3d models but they could have just changed the hair color a bit. I don't know.

I love the art style, especially with how you apply texture. I like the hair colour change idea and the poofy shorts and shoulder pads are well balanced. I think those elements help disguise Marinette more, which I feel the show didn't do that well or at least they didn't justify/explain as well how the costumes were meant to be effective.

I’m guessing the creators of ladybug and chats outfits made them basic since they would both be the most animated characters in the show, so if they were super detailed it would be harder to animate- (But that’s only a theory, there might be another reason)
@@theirlmess Yes, that's true for 2D animation. The advantage of 3D is that you can make more complex designs since you don't have to animate them frame by frame. So they could've added or changed a bit for the same ammount of budget/effort
Absolutely adorable! I am in love with the superhero outfit and the hairstyle for Marinette! The points about the powers are definitely true, they could probably get rid of at least half of the Akuma and still have a good show imo. That and the neverending lack of plot progression are honestly what drove me away, not to mention just how..bland all of the clothes look. Especially Adrian's, HE. IS. A. MODEL. His dad is a FAMOUS. FASHION DESIGNER. He should not be caught dead in clothes like that, they're vaguely horrendous. It's seeming like a trend in recent 3D shows for these supposed "fashion-centric" shows to make all the clothes as bland as possible (coughmonsterhigh coughcough) and I hate it

Yep, couldn’t agree more regarding the clothes too! The characters' gardrobes are just sad tbh :))) and the concepts are PERFECT...especially Chloee 🙄 I love everyone from the concepts except for Adrien/Felix, he's kinda bland (clothing wise)

guys, Mari is supposed to be into fashion but her outfits where always really plain in the show. So I find it really refreshing to see her in a more high fashion looking hero suit. Also her re-design regular outfit fit her a LOT more!!!

The extra protective padding for mari makes sense, being a clutz in the show. I think instead of wings, something like a beetle wing shaped shield would have been good? It gives a more recoginisable silhouette, leads more into the ladybug theme and Mari tends to fight more defensively and avoids the enemy head on more than anything, i think it would fit? I dunno just rambling.

The grey parts kind of look like they're some sort of sheer fabric. Like whatever pantyhose are made of. That could also just be me. Yeah, but anyway. The designs are good soup.

Yes, I also like multimouse, I wrote in the vid that it is cute. But I don't like other secondary transformations, like Felix with the dog, or Adrien with the snake 😬
Your expressions are so- idk how to say it but it scratches a part of my brain! It's super cute! Also the first animation is amazing. I loooved the redesign! She looks more creative and sporty and magical! It looks super cute! If you do more Marinette outfits I personally think she should have at least three and change them up depending on the ep like Star vs the Forces of Evil.

@@rainbowjack My favorite magical girl anime (CardCaptor Sakura) gives characters a whole wardrobe when they’re out of uniform, it makes me sad miraculous, a show that mentions fashion so much only has one civilian outfit for everyone
@@SpicyCannoli Yes I'm also dissapointed by that! They could at leaast make a different civillian outfit for each season. I feel like you can easily tell that they didn't have that much passion while doing the outfits. And the concepts looked so much better!
@@rainbowjack yeah! also all the outfits are weirdly dated, every character has a super low waistline, chloe's makeup was popular like a decade ago, it just feels off,,, I normally wouldn't care but the fact that the main villain is a fashion designer that looks like an unsexy coloner sanders, his son is a model who looks like an 11 year old who was allowed to dress himself for the first time, and it has an aspiring designer main character who dresses like she's ten and who's only outfit I remember seeing her make was some weird french stereotype,,,, idk if there was less emphathis on fashion i'd care less but there is so I do care.

I think that the powers should be like a power pyramid. So Ladybug and Chat Noir should have three powers, the fox, butterfly, turtle, peacock, and Bee should have two powers, and the zodiac ones should have one power. I also think that, like, if they're going to say the Ladybug and black cat are the most powerful they should actually do that. Because the Rabbit is apart of the Zodiac but it's still more powerful than either the black cat or Ladybug imo. I honestly think that time travel shouldn't really be a thing at all. The snakes powers are on *thin ice* too. I really think there was a lot of missed potential with the powers. The power system is so vague and inconsistent and they really didn't do as much research on the actual concept the powers based on as I wish they had.

Anyone let me know if they caught this because I can't remember ANY of this show. Do the secondary transformations induce personality changes like main ones do. (Ladybugs confidence, chats mischief) because if not. Another reason to dislike them. Adore ur art by the way

Sense ladybug and cat noir are a duo I would make it so they actually need each other’s, only cat noir can break the akuma and ladybug can only catch them ❤🖤
Just for your knowledge the magical girl aspect lies mainly on their transformation. The whole turning naked (but shiny), spinning around while your clothing is added, some fancy moves to highlight some important pieces and then a end pose, ofc everything with music.
I'm pretty sure the classic superheroes don't do that.

Oh nonono! I didn't mean it like that 😳 I only meant small areas, to kinda separate some elements a bit more, and not make it look like a single body-tight onesie. Like, adding some skin above the knees, to make it look like there's short pants and boots, or above the elbows to make a shirt, or around the collarbone like a dress has, or around the navel like a crop top (idk if I'll use all these ideas) you know what I mean? Not big areas of skin.

Yes, you're right! Mari is very shy and she wouldn't wanna draw attention, I didn't take that into consideration, thanks for pointing that out! I do wish she would show more clothes tho, simple outfits, but a bigger variety, more often. Yes, my Mari is just like an AU version, still a bit shy, but maybe a bit older too? And that's why she's a bit more confident in her style. I would still make my Mari wear simple outfits, now that you pointed that out, cuz even designers also wear only a t-shirt and some shorts from time to time, and she would feel more real 💖 and I'm glad you liked the hair/the hair rule! 😊✨

What if you could add something like wings to the back of her costume but Instead of wings it’s a glider!!!
When I drew the Ladybug's redesign myself I added "wings" as that thing that butlers have on the end of their jackets (i don’t remember the name of it sorry)
Those are called coattails I believe!
