    I've got both panels. With regard to the loose wing position switch, you can tighten the grub screw quite easily if needed. Mine came like yours from the factory. I tightened it and have not had any issues.

    The one wobbly switch, take a look on the knob and see if there's a set screw... On the plane I work on, those kinds of knobs get loose, and all you have to do is tighten the set screw.

    Got my Combat Ready panel about 2 weeks back. With the throttle and the joystick it just makes it somuch better. Waiting for the Take Off panel to come back in stock then will order that definitely. Realy worth the money for me.

    These panels are the shit I myself have them and am making some templates for them to use with other planes or for Microsoft or other games if I wish. Which brings me to a point I would love to bring up the Switch layout and installation of them is perfect for this if you look at the panels the Nuts set above the box itself so you can remove those and use a few to hold your templates on or you could make your holes bigger and just let them rest up to you. For the Price thou you cannot beat them think was 184 bucks all around to US took ruffle 4 days to get here, I also ordered the Tarus and Libra I have heard nice things about them and would like to review them against TM and Virpil which I can already say that precision with throttle is going to be Tarus just because of the Throw distance being longer which gives you fine tuning. If anyone is wanting the WINWING PANELS ON 10th there will be RESTOCK!

    How exactly these panels connected to PC ? Via regular USB port or it requires some additional controller or anything else? Is it able to work stand alone completely independent ?

    • @MagzGTV
      @MagzGTV  Před 2 lety +1

      Regular USB cable, It's better to use a powered USB hub for them but not required and yes, they function totally independently of any other controllers and can be used in combination with any other controllers you own.
      The only thing they require is the WinWing software to configure them and in the case of DCS synchronize them with the DCS Virtual cockpit.

      @@MagzGTV Thank you for your reply. I guess kinda Funny considering most of the functions of the panels are already covered on the Orion and if I’m considering getting the panels, then maybe I should have waited and got the Super Taurus and Libra. I do like the idea of a dedicated landing gear lever with a flap lever next to it like on the panels and redundant controls can be bound to other things. Still, it seems like it’s pointless to get the Orion if I’m going to end getting the panels if you know what mean.

    Whats the point of panels in VR? Sounds like virtual sex to me, equally pointless

    • @MagzGTV
      @MagzGTV  Před 2 lety

      lol, I take it you have never used panels before.
      Pretty simple, with the panels you can activate any number of systems simply by hitting the switches on the panels, no need to pick up the VR controller and spin the little dot around the cockpit to hit the right switch or grab the mouse and do the same thing.
      I've personally timed myself and om usually over a second to around three seconds faster activating something on a panel than with a mouse or VR wand while in VR, that's with someone else randomly calling out systems to activate.
      As for not being able to see the panel, well as anyone who has spent any real amount of time in VR virtual flying can tell you, you learn where the buttons in your cockpit are. That includes those on the throttle base, those on the pannels and those which you leave on the keyboard and you learn how to use them without needing to see them. Only people that are unfamiliar with their home cockpits or with how a keyboard works need to actually look at the keys or switches to flip them.
      Basically, it only seems pointless to someone who has never used VR or has never used a panel. Anyone who has knows the advantages.
