In 2002-03 I was 33-34 and was in a relationship with a 42 year old gorgeous Swedish woman. The sex was beyond this world, it was heavenly, almost divine. And we had so much fun on our road trips and travels abroad. We used to laugh a lot... Never ever underestimate "older" women, they can be the best thing you have ever experienced.
What happened?
Men, do not hesitate for one moment to put a restraining order against your female partner if you feel your safety and health is in jeopardy. Placing a permanent restraining order on my female partner was absolutely the wisest protective move of my adult lifetime. My only regret is not doing it years earlier. Men, be safe!
If she's over 40 don't walk....RUN the other way. You will more than likely be raising another mans kids, dealing with a emotional mess from a failed marriage or long relationship or spend your time finding out why no man could connect with her all those years. Maybe it's because she wants to be dominate, very demanding or battling emotional imbalances from some past trauma. My guy, just be cautious and don't stress yourself by getting caught in these situations at any age honestly. Just be happy you're not that guy, live your best life cause you only get one!

Very true. I got a 40 yr old chics number. First and only time we talked on the phone all she wanted to talk about is the three long term relationships she was in and everything was the guys fault for it failing.

My wife was older then me and we had a good marriage. She passed away and she was still young. I have to say if you really like that woman who is aproching 40 and you are 30 , do not let the age thing hold you back. I personally try to keep with in five years, eather younger or older.

For the guys who are bashing the idea of dating women in their 40's, it appears that your thoughts are coming from pubescent ideas. The key to dating, is dating multiple women without expecting an outcome. Dating means just that. Going out without initiating sex. I know that's tough guys, but it can be done. By dating multiple women, you can decide what you want, or don't want in a woman. Don't go in with the idea of finding the love of your life, but meeting quality women that could lead to something special.
Dating multiple people at the same time? Who has time for that? That is wrong.

Woman here. I didn't think there was a discussion whether women like the men to take the initiative. Of course we do, no matter how old we are. I'm going to turn 41 soon, and I can say that if I'm pretty sure that the guy is into me, I don't mind being the one to ask him out for a first time. After that, I expect at least 50/50. If he doesn't take initiative or rarely does, at some point I'll just walk away, cause I don't think he's that interested.

Myself being 46, I was always attracted to older women thinking that they had it together mentally or emotionally. Recently having ended 2 separate relationships one with a female friend I attended school with since kindergarten. The second I've known now for 6 or 7 years and met through a mutual friend.
