- My channel is being shadowbanned?! Does youtube block videos for stuff like "God Bless" and "the success of this channel is all because of God and his will"? I never heard of this before until just recently but it makes a lot of sense considering the numbers I have seen. Over the last few days, I have seen a very quick drop of views per video. Considering our new reach to all our new subscribers in such a short period of time, we have only seen a LOSS of views. Our viewers are not being notified, and we are not being placed for people to see our content. After taking a poll in our community tab we have learned that a major percentage of our viewers are not getting notifications. We are being blocked from our viewers quite possibly. That is heartbreaking considering all the work we put into EVERY video.
The math doesn't add up, and after talking to one of our friends who deal with youtube channels that are Christian in nature, shadowbanning seems far more real now and the symptoms are showing in our channel. Though our videos can be found through the search, they aren't being suggested Shadow banning is blocking content to get to our viewers, by not sending notifications to our viewers of new content. So the question is how to get rid of the shadow ban, and this could be happening to you too, so how do we beat it? We have heard that paying for google advertising helps, so we have invested a bit of cash into a week campaign and will let you know what we find out in time, and see if the numbers climb again. I'm sick to my stomach, I'm spending so much time and effort on my videos with 0 payoff, no one new gets recommended to my channel and I feel like I'm being left out due to all of my friends having videos where they get thousands and thousands of views. I honestly feel like I'm wasting all my hours and my best bet is to just give up entirely. Nothing I do fixes this, I can't comment on live chats, not even my own.

This is happening to me as well. Was getting 25k-mill views on my shorts and decent exposure on long form. Rich I have less of. Overnight I got a Guideline strike. But didn’t actually break any guidelines. Now I went from gaining 1000 followers a day to 0!!! 0… and maybe 500-1000 views. It has caused me to want to give up as I edit myself. And it’s really hard for me. Not very tech savvy. This video was helpful. Though I’m not sure I know how to break out of the shadow ban. 🙏🏻

The thing with these websites is that anyone has the right to ban anyone else they don’t agree with from their websites at any given moment. On this website for instance, the creators might not want to see the world the way you or I do. And I know it’s kinda hard to think of this platform as just another website but it’s really just a website.
It’s like search engines are a websites that are designed to crawl internet and display which ever website they agree with.
I wasn’t really thinking about it before but it’s a real right for pretty much every website, software or app right to accept or deny anyone from their community.
As far as I know, internet itself isn’t a private entity but you have to start building your property from the very bottom up without using any exciting websites for promotional purposes and it’s very hard.
Our minds are so strongly taken by few big names that we have start to believe that we have rights on these platforms which we don’t actually have.
It’s kinda hard situation even when your opinions have changed over time.

75 percent of the content I watched in 2018 to now. Is shadowbanned. I have to manually write down my favorite utubers so I don't forget about them.
I know of one channel that doesn't even exist when searched. That is what brought me here. I seen a video that was in my suggestions. I clicked it. Decided to look at the channel and noticed there was only 6 videos. The video I was currently watching was NOT on the channel. I decided to show my employee who is a IT Tech.. I wanted his opinion. He went to search for the channel. It didn't pop up. He laughed and said "I can't find it." I sent him a link, and he opened it. Subscribed to the channel. I commented on the video describing to the channel owner what I was seeing. They said many of their videos get deleted. I said no.. "It doesn't exist! The video we are commenting on is not on your channel." I posted another comment and seen it post with my own eyes. I come back to the comments and noticed that my comment wasn't there. CZcams Deleted My Comment. I screen recorded what I was looking at and emailed it to the channel owner and they were shocked. I do receive notifications when they post a new video, but still only shows they have 6 videos. When I seen they posted 10 videos that week. There is NO playlist. There are no options to click like "Videos" "Playlist" and channels they are subscribed to. Only those 6 videos. My employee got on his PC, and it had 10 videos but that's it. Mobile and PC are different platforms so it's shadowed differently. I hope you the best and hopefully this helps open you up to the fact that there are some channels you can't even search for.

Good heads up. Im sure this is happening to me. I got +140 subs this year but im still getting 10 views. People who regularly comment on my videos are unaware of other comments as they cant see them. Huge sections of my pleasant replies to comments suddenly go missing. I video my foot for 1 minute and it gets more views than me crashing and everyone loves crashing vids, right?

I have a SECOND channel that was taking off, and then strangely, all at the same time, my videos began flatlining. It's EXTREMELY frustrating. These little slimeballs doing this to people without informing them, or giving them a way to redress the problem. Can you imagine being so controlling of others?

I think i may be going through this. i was going steady on my channel, but since some policy changes and algorithm changes my channel has been severely stifled. i do Tarot readings and spiritual content, i dont feel like youtube likes this. but its really unfair.

Hi Tim-Since I subscribed recently I've been getting loads of your videos showing up in my recommended videos. Including this one! I'm very sorry to hear about this Shadow Banning thing, though. Have never heard of it, but I believe you. I have no really strong opinion about your religious views, but am more interested in your music and tech content. I also watch Henny the Bizness, and he has religious content sometimes, too, but he also has great iOS music material, and that's why I follow him. The religious stuff, when it's offered, is given in such a genuine, positive way that it's hard to take offence. I imagine yours would be, too. 🤷♂️

I am also shadowbanned ive been shadowbanned for almost i think 2 years now as a musician and it has impacted my music alot cuz radiostations and promoters just straight out tell me they cant find me...fans of me say youtube is not showing my real views on my videos. but tries to keep them as low as possible.. it almost seems like they dont want me as an independent artist to succeed. this is very strange i got banned as i was doing google ads. within 1 week i got 1000 extra subscribers and the video was doing amazing.. maybe because it was a little bit about barbie they are afraid my song will become popular like barbie. i had 2500 views a day and since two days again it has 0 for 2 days now.. this shit does not make sense at all i think i am going to invest all i have in tiktok because this is making mee give up

At least you can speak. No one else will see this comment but you and I. CZcams is the ultimate police of their domain. The only solution is either don't use this platform, or make a new account and get in line like they want.
CZcams needs to stop shadowbanning! I know it's real, because when I search for a keyphrase, I will get like 5 videos, in spite of billions of videos being on youtube, and millions more uploaded everyday from around the world. Is it plausible that a certain topic I'm curious about, will have only 5 videos in the youtube database?? I don't think so! Also, all the major corporate videos with millions of views are sometimes the only ones I can access. That is not why I watch youtube! I don't care about what the corporate policy is! I want the real opinions of my neighbors...normal average people like me! CZcams is almost turning into a trash corporate propaganda machine operating under the deceptive veneer of grassroots groups and home movies. It's hard to find video gems made by average folk anymore. I am really frustrated and sick of it!

bumbletowne glad you hear you got the notification! As far as I can tell “search” is supposed to work just fine. So if people search my videos they will still come up, but there is some “possibility” of a block of some sort occurring. I truly hope I’m wrong. Thankful that some folks are saying they are getting notified.
my account got banned for appealing against a removal of a video which in my view didnt violate the terms but instead of simly denying my appeal and giving reasons they removed my channel. which is absurd.

My channel won a copyright strike against the Beatles, and ever since then my channel is getting almost zero views. It went from 30,000+ views regulary to getting 10 views.

Honestly im not sure, my viewer counts are incredibly low right now and my last tests werent showing many of my followers seeing notifications. SO I would say there is still a large chance that I am.
Meeeee tooooo. I get new subs, real subs, actual people and then they are immediately unsubbed. Looks like they credit me about 1/3 of all subs. It’s incredibly frustrating.

How would I go about finding if I am shadow banned. My videos have went way down since I have mentioned Preaident Trump and God.
For me personally its just the analytics of the influx of subscribers to the number of viewers. I gain +150 Subs every month right now according to youtube analytics. BUT, my video views are under 50 most of the time, and my subscription viewership per month is 2.6%. Those numbers are incredibly low and unbalanced for the amount of videos I put out each week and the number of subscribers I am receiving every day. The math just doesn't add up.

Apparently advertising with google helps. I honestly cant tell if that is true or not because I made a campaign over a week long for $20 for the week and didnt see a change as much as I would have liked to have seen.

I would say it still seems in question to be completely honest. As I release videos I feel they dont get the views I would expect from my followership that other videos of mine do. At that point it was obvious. But now here in the future I am not so sure.
Notifications are broken for me. I only get videos I watched. I thought this was a weird bug because I'm on a PC and YT cares only for phone fools.

It may not be, but its the closest thing I can find that would give me any idea why they would block my content. It wont stop me :0)
I would say one way to overcome this is when you find a channel like, subscribe and comment. If you like their content. The algorithms have no choice to push your content upward. I’m thinking.

When Covid happened, we tried to keep in touch. We shared information on youtube, and tried to warn people. About the Jabs. And then soon after, the censorship started happening. I lost contact with my friends, my account was suspended, I had to start over, because I lost my work. I never could get ahead ever since.

Interesting... My channel is about bitcoin and two weeks ago we began a give away. Ever since every video we put out is getting less and less views. Shadow ban is the only explanation, apparently they began shadow banning CZcams channels doing crypto giveaways after the 2017 bull run. No idea how long this will go on for?

I noticed one time I put a link to one of my videos in a comment, I couldn’t see it on my second channel.
Obviously people post links to their own content all the time and even bots post virus links all the time which just goes to show that I have been shadowbanned in some capacity.
In all likelihood the reason for my shadowban probably comes from my second channel rather than my main channel.

All the channels are by default in this filter out list ready to work when once surpassed a treshold of views. The ones that are and you see as you think yutube is like for everyone, all those channels have a network linked with yutube or a contract with yutube. And for go there you need some requirements as those have, raxe involved too. Logan Paul what do you think is? Pewdipie what do you think is? Jacksuckatstuff? ... They have same raxe. What think zuckerberg is? Both the google "inventors" what they are? Same raxe. Even the smaller ones as louis rossmann, dread, makemoneymatt, they have the same raxe. Should be less naive, believing in anyone can make it. Look even this channel, always the same, after it makes few ten thousands, immediatedly it goes to a long zero, till the last time where is scrutinized for see if can apply for enter in the yutube program. 95% are discarded, forever. You were dreaming about fake info, that everyone chatted about yutube, luring people believing even in views as a measurement of value. Dont take as an insult but the real word is: Fools.
Talk about shadow banning, my comments sometimes don't get any replies! Or likes or dislikes (which is fine) but from a very heavy traffic channel mind you?! ...... There's definitely foul play, and it hasn't just happened to me, but others too! Its like my comments never existed......

This was a new one. I don't mind, anyone, blessing me with their god beliefs. It's a nice gesture that people do to be kind. (But the act does not actually do anything more that maybe make you feel warm and fuzzy for doing it) The thing that CZcams does not promote all video channels that people subscribe to is not correlated to people's religious beliefs. This is done to every single channel. It's done to Atheist channels, religious channels or channels that talk about cats etc. So why is it so then? Well, Google wants to make money on adds. Google cant store or deliver all videos at the same time because the cost would be too big to cash all videos all around the world in all data centers in all countries at the same time. Google uses algorithms to make the cost as efficient as possible. Even big channels with millions of subscribers suffer from this as well as small channels. Google looks at what people want to watch most and prioritize resources to those videos first. How this algorithm looks is a well-kept secret that many people would like to crack to get more views and money. No one is targeting you or your religion. In fact, religious channels have a big share of watch time because it's so common that people are religious. You need to look at the difference between correlation and causation. In your case, you don't even have a correlation to start with.
