This is such a sweet story. I too rescued a cat. We were out of town and we stopped at a gas station put gas and my husband found a Kitten . The Kitten was next to a gas pump, so weak but found the strength crawl really fast on his stomach to us. I immediately picked him up and wrapped him in a blanket , my husband was allergic to cats or so he thought , so I tried finding him an owner at the gas station and nobody wanted him so I had to take him with me I couldn’t just leave him there, turns out My Husband wasn’t allergic and 4 years later My Moonkiki is still with us. 🙏🏽❤️🐾 🐈⬛💋

I've got a question: Why did your husband believe he was allergic to cats? Had there been issues beforehand?
I have been told that as our bodies change over time, so do our allergies... so, he may have been allergic as a child and outgrew it... so, it's awesome that you found that kitten and he found out that he's not allergic afterall... I hope they love each other!!! I love my kitties (all rescued strays from off the street) and couldn't imagine life without them!!! Lucky kitty to have found you!!!

Been to the Indy 500 54 times, but I've never rescued a cat at the race. This is sooooo cool!

As a fanatic myself commentating about this video. That is a fan of both motor racing and animals. Two of my big passions in life wrapped up in this one video. Awesome. Oh. I have had 4 cats, over several years. Three were rescue, one was chosen from a litter. I just recently lost one of mine. Had her from 2 weeks old to over 12 years old. Bottle fed her for 9 weeks, helped her to go potty, etc. She was my angel. And I miss her so much.
I currently have 2 cats, and when I am ready I will adopt another one. My cats are my babies. They are the bests things that have happened to me.

We should all be on the look out for animals in need of help/homes. I personally keep my eyes peeled where ever I go.
I found a whole litter of 6 kittens 2 summers ago. No mom around. 4 didn't make it unfortunately. They were only 3 weeks old and they had underdeveloped urethral and bladders became filled with urine with no wayti express it. I had to have them put to sleep and I was devastated but 2 females survived and I kept them both. love them with all my heart❤❤

I came home from my previous job, twice, with an kitten. Once from an plasma donation centre where I used to donate...again with an miniature stinker poo kitten! It is remarkable from everyday places what one can come home with. It is that much more joyous when it is "rescuing" an animal, and in the process providing said animal(s) with an "furever" home. Finding material things is pleasant enough...an amount of money, or an whatever. But to be blessed with rescuing an life, such as this kitten, is truly an jackpot that can not be even remotely matched.😸😹😽🙀😺

It should be noted that many states like mine have very strict laws on adopting found cats. In my state you need to post up signs, post online, scan for a chip and wait 30 days. While this little guy was likely a true stray, especially if he wasn't fixed, that doesn't change the law. I've heard of people literally taking cats out of their own yards before and it's a mess to get them back when that happens.
