Great video! Very helpful in deciding where to place and vent mine. Thanks

Still happy with it? About to do the same on my Hewes 200 prov. Thanks for posting!!!

Can you run it while you are cruising? I have a similar boat and like the idea of locating my heater there but assumed the airflow from cruising would put backpressure on the exhaust and it may not operate correctly. Also, any issues with water getting in the exhaust? Rain or splash from rough conditions?

Yes. I run it all the time running WOT. Have never had an issue.

So how has the heater performed for you? Any complaints, or has it been a good addition? Thinking about doing the same thing to a similar boat.

Do you know the item number or name of your heater? I have a 2015 Hewes 200 SM and I’m looking to do the same. Also, how many vents of hot air? I was hoping to have it on each windshield as a defroster

I don't. I just amazon'd one that would ship to AK. A 5kw model. I bought a T from lowes and drilled a hole so I had vents on both windows and the 5kw model is enough to push that air. If you go 2kw it won't be quite enough under power.

How has it held up with the waves? I run rough lakes and the salt. Scared it will fall apart

So far so good. Ran it all last year with no events in the salt water.

Do you get any exhaust smell in the boat?

Nope. Never noticed an issue. The key is the good clamps to seal your exhaust up well

Hi are you still using the heater and how is it going? Do you have a link to the heater or know the name?

It's been installed over 2 years now and still runs flawlessly. Run it full power for 15 to 20 minutes before shut down. Treat fuel once a year

What are you doing to keep salt water out of the exhaust?
