- Thinking about capturing the beauty of the New Zealand South Island? For the past decade I've been running and fine tuning my photography workshops here, sharing this raw and rugged landscape with likeminded people.
There's some things in life that words and images fail to describe. You really just need to experience it for yourself. This is how I feel on each and every workshop I've ran across the past decade. What a privilege it has been. Whoever and wherever you are, I hope to share the joy of photography and beauty of New Zealand with you some time.

I could not enchourage you more to go on one of Will's workshops. They're simply the best.
I had the privilege to meet Will and attend one of his workshops several years back. I was greatly inspired and learned so much from him that it changed the way I perceive the environment around me when going out shooting and just enjoying it a lot more than I used to. Highly recommended!! Massive thanks Will. When I get the chance to visit NZ again, I'll definitely give you a shout :)
So grateful to have been part of this, honestly won’t forget that moment of coming over that ridge to look down into Tasman lake and those icebergs, life changing!

What a stunning and high quality video, Will. And each word’s so true. Shooting with you in NZ was not only therapeutic but the inspiration that you and the landscape generated is unquantifiable. It’s most definitely a privilege and I can’t wait to be back.

It's almost too beautiful to be true. I pray I might one day be a part of one of these workshops. The breathtaking landscape brings a lump to my throat. I cannot believe the beauty He put in that fair land of New Zealand.
Totally recommend Wills workshops. I've been on 3 and have another booked. My whole photography journey improved so much from the time spent with Will. Seriously, you won't regret it

I would definitely love to !! NZ is so far away for us European that’s a shame. The closest thing we have here is Iceland and it’s really an amazing place. It might be because I already checked off Iceland from my list but NZ seems on another level.
Haha, I feel you, although I've had 8 trips to Iceland over the years. If I can do that, I think you can make one trip to NZ some time. It's worth it :P

I have been on 3 workshops with Will, and am doing a fourth next year (on a boat), with a private tour attached.......that's how good Will is and how incredibly beautiful the South Island of NZ really is.......

Keen to join Will on a workshop in 2024, maybe 2025. Has recommendations from all of the top photographers I know. When people who you consider ‘expert’ recommend someone, I’ve learned to embrace that wisdom.

Just wishing it comes to life for me for 2024 Will . It looks amazing, something the inner being needs to do , this is living ! @@WilliamPatinoPhotography I agree 100%. That is the real world- not the busy rush of crowded streets and workplaces, or the noise and pollution of the city. That is why I chose photography to be my career. I want to enjoy every moment I can.

Photography much like fishing brings out one main purpose for me .. whether you catching fish or spectacular images on the camera the one common denominator that should stand out is the fact one sees the bigger picture to this planet we all share and how privileged we are to see the sights and capture the very beauty that surrounds us all . Sadly most humans take this for granted , as they say “ make the effort to stop and smell the roses “! Life is mostly what we make it ! I shall be in touch soon Will ! Cheers
Absolutely stunning mate!
One thing I noticed is, even with water from waterfalls in the air, I didn’t see any lens hoods. Just wondering your thoughts on why not many use them?
Thanks mate. Hoods don’t do too much when it’s horizontal rain. We’re also undercover somewhat on the boat. Admittedly I never use a hood though. Just easier to use a towel/cloth when I’m out in the downpours. Saves room in the bag too.
