    How does it compare to the OG Nazare which is rapidly fast and to me feels like way more than anyone needs. It's great to have the power and tackle any hill. All have been smashed by the OG Nazare in turbo (red) mode.

    • @wiggpickle
      @wiggpickle  Před 2 lety

      Its a bigger difference than I expected. I was expecting more power only, but that's not the case. The difference in power has changed my riding tactics. You have be more in front of the board when accelerating, more leaning back when braking, you have to consider tire slippage when accelerating.. I don't have the throttle controls tuned as aggressively as I do on my 12s because a throttle or brake mistake is that much more consequential. This amount of power is pushing the limits of the length of the deck. By that I mean I wish I could spread my feet further apart to better triangulate my body because it wants to throw me off the back. The OG Naz is a beast, as we've seen, but the SS lineup is somehow on another Tier. I give props to Alex and Lacroix for such amazing product development.

    thoughts on the hyper rims? Love this board :) makes my evolve feel like walking

    • @wiggpickle
      @wiggpickle  Před 2 lety

      I came from an Evolve too! Great starter board. Honestly, the hyper rims might be the best choice on the market due to their construction. All the competitor rims I've seen, including my xcell spyders, have a single webbing, while the hyper rims have front and back webbing, making them a bit heavier, but stronger. One of my xcell wheels, the gold wheels on my OG naz, is slightly bent so I'm partial to the Lacroix rims now. The machining is impeccable too. Lacroix has really developed some top notch products

    Awesome video... I was thinking about grabbing a Lacroix Nazare... leaning more towards the Bioboards Plutonium for the AWD setup. Which do you think would be the better choice?

    • @wiggpickle
      @wiggpickle  Před 2 lety

      Thanks for watching! I must admit, I'm partial to Lacroix, but I think it depends on what you plan to do with it. 4wd, for most riding types, is unnecessary and can actually hinder performance. A 4wd board will be less efficient, heavier, produce more drag, and have more components to possibly fail. Unless you think you need 4wd, I'd suggest sticking to 2wd. As far as brands go, I don't know much about BB, but I can tell you I've had a wonderful experience with Lacroix. The plutonium is going to sit taller than a Lacroix.. I personally prefer the low, wide, aggressive look of the Lacroix. I'd say try to demo both and see which one fits you best. lmk what you end up with!
