And after all that when we returned what he found, he found the nobles forgetting their vows and their lady of the lake instead frolicking and partying lavishly while letting their blades rust in scabbard. The bretonnian lands were getting devasted by the bandits and herdsmen while the nobles were devasting their ladies and peasant women for the pleasure of their loins.Someone got to destroy this rot in the nobles of Bretonnian and Roland who purged the land of rot now will purge the rot in Bretonnian nobles.
Roland is ready to unify the bretonnian dukedoms under his rule!

About Phillippe possiblely joining the rebellion: You can talk to clan leaders in the dungeon and try to persuade him to defect. Make sure you capture all of that clans castles and towns before having the conversation. It's a typical persuasion check, kind of like the marriage check. You will have to give the clan a castle or town, but it's worth having a couple of strong vassals. For faction leaders, you have to defeat the faction and take all of their realms before you can persuade them to defect.
I think that in most cases, it is inevitable that you as a player will want to take over as faction leader. The AI needs work - it doesn't make good kingdom decisions.

It seems khorne has rolands soul now, that he hungers for blood and skulls of his brethren and once brothers in arms.
(This is an extension to my post on your last video about the elder kings 2 FALMER idea.)
So what I had in mind is they are lead by a Falmer man, his name is Narthanas. He and a small portion of his race have had enough of his people hiding after thousands of years. Slowly Nathanas gos on to recruit other pockets of existing un-corrupted Falmer. They band together in a small county and rebuild themsleves a little holding. Soon they set heir sights on @SurrealBeliefs the cities of the Nords, wishing to diplomatically gain their land back, their holdings and reinstate falmer supremacy in Eastern Skyrim. Though they also kill devolved-corrupted falmer, seeing their fallen brethren as needing a mercy kill. Another thing, these particular Falmer are not genocidal. They just want to push the Nords out of their traditional home, which is Eastern Skyrim. They want their home back, but they are willing to integrate into modern tamrielic society. Hoping to let he world know, that they will not make the same mistakes as their ancestors and attempt diplomacy first with the nords, imperials, and so on and so forth. Reformed falmer
If I may make suggest a small alteration.
Perhaps instead of killing the Corrupted Falmer, perhaps have them integrate them as Soldiers and Parts of their society, if only as Mostly Mindless Troops and Laborers.

I like how in the last episode, you were all like we can't become king, we'll kill too many of our brethren! But in this episode, you're like "GET ME THAT CROWN, GET ME THAT CHAIR, A NEW ROYAL ASS IS ABOUT TO TAKE OVER! WHOO!" 🤣🤣🤣
Roland is a man of simple means. Maybe the chaos gate changed him!
@@SurrealBeliefsRoland before the gate simply believed in the Lady, knighthood, honor, and his quest to become a Grail Knight. He hadn't seen true war or what it meant to lead before the blood keep, and after the Chaos Portal, he lost more knights than he ever had before. Knights who trusted him with their very souls. The ones who live will follow him to Chaos and back, but losing men like that due to your own command always eats at the soul. It could be that Roland has learned in order to lead, you must be willing to sacrifice those under you. Or perhaps in order to avenge those who died in his name, he wishes to avenge them by becoming the king of bretonnia and have the power to unite all Bretonnians against the forces of Chaos. Or maybe he wanted something grander for himself than a vassal or Duke, and only operates off of ambition. In the end, his actions will speak to his true intentions, but I hope that he simply wants to unite his country and rule with honor, not with pride. Time will tell us how he has changed

Very good as always, it's nice to see how different our campians are going, so far I've got a stronghold and a city under my control, though under Wissenland, just gotta recover from this war and strong-arm them into another one lol

I usually sell all the lowest value items first, just to get rid of all the unnecessary weight. That does, however, sometimes result in my running around with quite a few very high value items I can't get rid off, because no one has enough money.

you should soon focus on gun powder, to get cannons, perhaps and dare i say it, hire mercenaries from the empire despite them being dirty peasants. all should know of Roland and serve the lady.

My Suggestion, we are no longer just Bretonnia, but our own Nation, as such we should recruit those who would follow regardless of origin (Sans Ruinous Powers of course.).
As for where we should go we should finish the current war, afterwards we should take the fight to the Vampires and 'Free' the Sylvanians, as well as the Halflings of The Moot who were so unjustly conquered.
I'd wager by now Stirland is hard pressed as well, with little help likely from the feuding imperials.

I Think you should try to recruit some herrmaults to your cause. Having some of the best archers in all of Brettonia to fight against the corrupt nobility

I have seen garrison members of attacked castles sortie on a small scale if a person has approached the breach to fire pistol or arquebus through it, Or drop spells, but the defending garrison of a players army has never been seen by yours truly. That though is the first time I've seen anyone ride out and take on the whole enemy army, I guess your gallant knights were watching and eventually had an outbreak of 'Sod this' and came out after you. Looking at the gallant knights a tourney might be a very interesting challenge it occurs to me? Another point can Grail Knights get hitched? For if you can perhaps pick a Duke with a martial daughter of suitable age and he can be your side kick in alliance. Also and I should have mentioned this before, in this game you can buy text books to boost training in subjects various. You read them and gain around 200 points here or there. I think its the Magister in Empire cities???? They are expensive but once read they do not disintergrate and you can retrieve gold by selling them in the market.
Brettonia has been a stagnant backwards nation. A change of pace is in order. Someone new must do something
Hey Surreal, did you have any issues getting this mod to work? Also, great vid as usual.
Let me know what the issue is and I'll let you know how to fix it! You need to change to the 1.2.0 beta and let it load for as long as it needs to. It'll seem frozen but it can just take up to hours for the initial load.
I was crashing on startup and rolling back to 1.2.0 was the cure. Thanks man, you fixed it!
Watching this series got me wanting to play the mod, but I've had a lot of technical difficulties with the game crashing, and I noticed versioning problems even whilst on the required beta. Could I ask what you've done setup wise to escape those problems? 😔

Body parts and gore is not part of either vanilla or TOR, I didn’t get any of that myself, I would guess it’s from the slowmo assassination mod :)

And as to a bretonian knight backstory, I’m French and a 20+ yr warhammer fan so let me get a go: Bastien von Drakenhof (which I learnt a few days ago is a city in warhammer, but it’s from the naheulbeuk donjon story, you would love this if it’s been translated in English, it’s a mp3 audio parody/funny rpg story :) the games are on steam and in English tho and they are good, check them)
Born from a bretonian mother and a sylvanian father, Bastien grew up in sylvania after his pregnant mother got saved from an ambush by his hunter future adoptive father.
Grew up in sylvania making a meager living out of hunting trips with his father, and back alley trading of smoke herbs he acquired from halfling traders. His parents managed to hide his existence when the lord of the land came to get some soldiers from the village, but they both ended up getting drafted and sent out to die up north.
Thanks to his contacts in the moot, Bastien managed to escape sylvania, and made it to the empire, where he joined the army as an outrider, using his riding and scouting skills acquired while hunting in sylvania. After his enlisting ended, he decided to move west, unfulfilled by his time as a ranged fighter. His anger and need for revenge for what happened to his parents, and the memories of the stories of his mother, of great knights charging fearlessly toward evil, and of the lady that protected them, kept pushing him west. Until finally, after days and days of riding, he came up to a sight he could not believe:
A castle like he only ever saw in sylvania, a red sky, a black stone fortress, thousands of undead and their servants, and the thick smell of death in the air that he knew could only mean one thing: dead vampires. Actually, properly dead vampires, in a number he could not imagine. His eyes went straight to the ruined city in front of the castle, and instead of the gigantic empire canon and gunner company he was expecting, he saw only a few men. A hundred, maybe more, every one of them wearing grandiose armors and wearing colorful emblems, and he was in awe.
He finally found them, the knights of his stories, and he now only had one thing in mind… following them, learning from them, and joining them…
