Fist off, I’d like to start out by saying how much I appreciate your videos & style. As we all know, there’s plenty of channels out there to follow but few I can actually sync with & enjoy. I always take something away from you posts & videos that help me grow in the art of videography. I work full time for an ambulance service pulling 48hr shifts waaaaaay too often. My goal is to continue growing my study/interest of videography. At how I have mules, horses & many other animals. On my downtime I hit the Wilderness packing in on mules. With that & many more interests & loads of amazing life adventures under my belt, I think it’s time to channel my love & energy into a CZcams channel. Gear reviews is on my map , as well. I am currently working with a Sony AX-100 to get my feet wet with. As well as a Atomos Shogun Inferno, Zoom H6, Shure & Rhode mics...etc. What’s left? I can’t make the kind of Magik I see in videos like yours without decent gimbals. I’m blown away how far they’ve come with today’s gimbals & am totally falling in love with the Zhiyun Cranes. Especially the Plus. Again, I appreciate all your hard work in your craft, here. Keep on keeping on.
Until next time.... Smooth sailing
O’Hally
Bro, you did one hell of a job on the setup! Perfect! There’s power in simplicity.
Been dreaming of getting a Zhiyun stabilizer for a while. Thanks for the helpful video and love that you are giving back to your followers!
This is so perfect because I'm currently on a mission to add film making to my skill set! Actually have a couple of projects this year and this gimbal would be very very helpful!
Found your channel from your 4,1 to 5,1 upgrade video. Thanks for that, it's been a great help. A great Gimbal that anyone would want in there kit. Someone's going to be very happy.
I started to film my friends special podcast episodes with iPhone x and DJI mobile 2 but ive been looking for a gimbal specially the Crane Plus for my Panasonic G9 since the price value is awsome. Keep on rocking!
Hey Lee, just wanted to thank you for the giveaway you're doing and the opportunity to participate. Also, I want to say that it's really appreciated that you did that thorough review on the Tilta G2X. Of all the reviewers that were sent the G2X, only you accurately mentioned that it has four modes and not just three as mentioned by everyone else.
I could really use the Zhiyun Crane and as aspiring hybrid shooter using Sony. It would help me a lot for both learning to some more creative with real estate videography and for hyperlapses. It would be so useful to use a gimbal than the traditional move-shoot-move I currently have to do with a tripod and camera for hyperlapses!
Thanks again Lee!
Thanks man! This is the best video I found out there on how to balance this Crane Plus! I'm pretty new to filmmaking and just bought this gimbal but had no idea how it worked lol
Thank you for the video I just got the zhiyun crane plus for my sony a6300 using a 18 to 105 lens. This video was detailed on how to the balance the camera. Keep doing good videos man
Hey Zed Pro Media. Thanks for the tutorial. I'm waiting for my Crane Plus to arrive today so I can start shooting for my new YT channel. Cool to see that you're in the GTA as well (I'm in the next town over). Cheers, Michael
I’ve been told my whole life that the only way you can make it is to study for some degree and then work your 9-5 job, 5 days a week for some boss/company. Personally, I believe there’s more to life than that! My dream is to one day wake up my own boss working my own hours, but most importantly making money doing something I’m passionate about! And for me, that passion is photography and videography! Hands down I would love life if I was able to wake up and go do shoots for people, at parties, weddings, etc. but I don’t have any equipment apart from a camera, so when I make videos I just try and walk really slow so it doesn’t shake. I’d love to win the zhiyun crane plus because I know it will take my videography to the next level!!! I promise I’ll put it to good use and create some awesome content for people/ companies.
Great review. I would love to have this zhiyun crane plus bcoz I am now starting learn and practice film making.
Just recently moved to Miami from Puerto Rico, and been thinking about starting up my own vlog, the crane would really come in handy.
I would use the gimbal to make super rad videos of my island and to start getting some paid video gigs. Photography has been my dream career since I was a kid and I decided this year that I’m putting all my energy into making it happen. I survived a bout with cancer this past year and it definitely made me realize that life is too short to not do what you love and for me that’s taking photos and making videos!
Took me 10 minutes to set my gimbal up after watching this video. Good looks bro! you locked me in for another gig!
Dope!
Picking up one of these used, later today - thank you so much for this! Subscribed 🙏🏽
I have a Sony a5000 that I'm using to create car feature videos and videos on car events and shooting at various tracks like Road Atlanta for Gridlife or grassroots drifting on tight, little karting tracks. Cars are a big part of my life and I want to show everyone the inner community without car culture itself, because if you feel alone like I once did and like cars, going out to events will change you life. The community is very welcoming and supportive. Just a huge, diverse group of people that like all sorts of different Motorsports and cars that just want to talk to you for days about it. That's what I want to show everyone. I'm currently saving to buy an a7iii and a gymbal, so a gifted gymbal would be a lifesaver!
I’m nearing taking the leap of doing photography/video full time. The Crane Plus would be a sweet addition to my setup as I don’t have a gimbal yet. Thanks!

I’ve been stuck on how to balance the pan motor properly with Crane Plus/A7iii ugh
hey man, first of all very informative video, what lens are you shooting with on the XH-1? Just bought one to replace my XT1 as im looking to get into videography, and not sure which fuji lenses are meant to be decent for video. Currently have the 35mm f2 and 56mm f1.2. Also I intend on making some travel content, have a lot of trips planned this year already starting with Prague next month which is why I'd love the Crane+. Looking to get some content up on youtube and just learn to become a film maker as a whole.
Summer is coming up and I want to make 3 short videos that captures each of my kids passions. This would be an awesome resource to film these. Thanks for all the videos, always helpful info. 👊
Great review and instructions on balancing! I would use it for documentaries and travel film making.
Thank you so much! Specially for showing the balancing so detailed. That helped me a lot and make my gimbal work properly!
Hey may I know if nikon d7000 is compatible with zhiyun crane plus?
I will like to use this for documenting my remaining times in Spain while I am studying here and use this as my primary video camera setup for future video editing and production! Thank you for this opportunity!
I would love the crane plus since I shoot a lot of run and gun/vlog content and a stabilizer would really help for cinematic b-roll and improvement in quality
Hi, zed I have a question. Can you do zoom throw the gimbal. ? My cam is the Sony alpha a6000. Thanks
Your works awesome man, deserve a hell of a lot more views for the quality of your content. Ahh trying to get smooth shots with my primes is proving a little difficult and this would help ALOT. Im really enjoying the world of video and the creativity of it! Keep the videos coming 🤙
I wanted to know which gimbal o should get. I have the XT3 with the 10-24 and the 35 and 56mm lens. I wanted your opinion of I should get the Moza Air or the Zhiyun Plus? They both are going for $380 on eBay
The reason I would love the crane plus is because it would really help me with creating smooth cinematic shots for my new youtube channel. As well I have a 6D2 and its rather a larger camera, so having the bigger crane would definitely ensure steady footage. Lastly im in the beginner stages of my youtube channel/ career and having to spend so much money on gear is very difficult. Winning this gimbal would help alleviate some of those expenses. Thanks! and keep doing what you're doing!
Would love one of these, perfect for family vids. What focus mode do you put the camera in?
How well does it deal with zoom lenses, let's say Fuji 10-24 or Sony 16-35? Can you balance it with the lens barrel extended halfway and the motors will compensate for the center of gravity difference on both ends of the zoom range? Thanks.
I would love to use this gimbal for my small documentaries, as my old old gimbal broke down. This new gimbal would be an incredible and valuable piece of gear to add to my small setup as this tool would allow me to tell my stories in more creative ways with the roll mode feature.
Thanks Lee!
I have the g85 and the 25mm lens. I slid it forward and the camera is still kinda pointing up. Is the lens too light?
OMG! If i had this gimbal, I would use it to make CRAZY cinematic sequences. So pumped and excited
Very helpful video for those who don't have a gimbal (like myself). The benefits of having one opens the door to unique story telling. Thank you.
Ti. Thanks for tutorial. what's your gimbal setting for most usage?
Hi Lee!
I work on a Communication department in a company and we always work with a small budget and because of that we can't afford a gimbal. Videos have always been a major part of our company, because it's one the best ways to broadcast information in a more appealing way with a cinematic look. And since we do a lot of videos, we would love to have more movement in them, allowing us to improve our storytelling. In the end, the gimbal would allow us to do more and better!
Thank you
Hey, just got an a6300 with 16-70 which I saved for for 2 years and would love to get a gimball too someday, hope the luck shines for me :) Love your videos!
I would love this set up! I would love to begin making home videos for my family!!! I have 4 kids, and would love to make home movies with their years growing up. So they could appreciate them when they’re older!! I currently have a Nikon but I shoot portraits as often as I can.
Do you connect the gimbal to anything like the camera? I see that there are two USB ports on it.
I just got an XH1 so I could start doing some video stuff. Nothing to crazy at the moment still trying to get the basics, but this would definitely help with my creativity! I got LumaFusion for my iPad after your tutorial and I love it so thanks for that!
Awesome video! Would love to use this to film my car youtube videos with my 5dmk3 vs using my gopro with a the gopro grip. Keep up the great work!
Hey! I would love to use the Crane for travel videos. When Fuji added 4k video to the X-Pro2 I was super excited. But I went out and shot and the footage was so shaky i don't think I can use it. This crane would really help me get started making videos! Thanks man!
Currently been venturing out into the video world more and more often now. I currently have a 5dmk4 with a sigma 35 1.4 as my set up and would love a little more stability in my life! Good luck to everyone!
Great video as always.
Having Crane Plus would be great for developing the video production further and capturing life in that buttery smoothness!
Always enjoy your reviews and tutorials! Thanks
Nice video, been looking at the crane for a while! I would love to have one.
Nice and compact gimbal. Great for run and gun shot, I would use it with my Fuji X-T2. Love your videos (Thumbs up twice).
hi bro!! A question! What follow focus recomend for zhiyun crane plus? Thanks
My plan for this gimbal is to use it to film cars since I take pictures and go to car shows and meets all the time. I want to shift from photography into cinematography and possibly do both! Thank you for the opportunity, I've been stuck choosing between this gimbal and the Moza Air
I really enjoy making documentary style videos w/ smooth b roll, 'walk and talk' interviews, all the good stuff. The crane would definitely be put into good use getting all the buttery footage I need!
Hi, Lee! I have really enjoyed watching your videos and they’ve been very helpful to me. I am a singer, songwriter, drama and music teacher full time as well. I’ve been trying to make my own videos on CZcams more recently because I'm very interested in learning more about photography/videography. I stumbled upon your video about winning the Crane Plus! I’m a huge fan of the Crane 2! I bought one for my Canon 5d Mark IV set up and LOVE it because it produces such fantastic results! The whole set up is a little heavy for me and also for someone who helps me film though. I have recently bought the Panasonic GH5 & love the lightness of this camera/lens setup as well as the cinematic quality. I would really love to have the Crane Plus for this GH5 camera because it would be a much lighter set up for me. I hate to have to go buy another Crane even though I really want this one. When I saw this video, I was ecstatic! I thought that even though you will have many others trying, I had to also at least try. It would really enhance my music career here on CZcams. Anyway, it is very kind of you to do this. I hope whoever you give it to will truly appreciate it! Blessings and thanks!
I would use this gimbal for my client work and personal cinematic projects! really enjoy your vids man keep em coming.
Hey bro, I used my Crane plus with a Panasonic GH4 and I can see a little handshaking when I walk. Could be that I am setting bad the gimbal?
Thanks. Not only a good intro' to the Crane + I just bought but also with my XH1.
Great video! Thanks for the detailed review and the sample clips
Great video, very informative.
I'm making the transition from photography to hybrid shooting and I've been thinking of investing in a good gimbal would help in many circumstances with production values (even if I mostly shoot videos for family and friends).
very good video
I want to invest in a gimbal
between weebil s / crane plus
What do you recommend?
Thnkx
Hey Lee, awesome vid as always! I’m mostly a photographer, but recently have gotten into video, and having a gimbal would really help with some new real estate clients I’ve picked up who want both photo and video walkthrough of houses they are selling. My friend also does short films and wants me to be his second cameraman, so having a gimbal would be much nicer than having to film lots of scenes on a tripod or with shaky footage. Keep up the great work man!
Such a dope gimbal! Loved that low shot from the water on the walkway. The reflection made that look amazing! I’ll see you on Thursday for the giveaway, got my fingers and toes crossed! Keep up the amazing work dude.
I would use this gymbal for pan shots/steady shots in filmmaking, for filming sports, or just videography in general.
So when i use POV mode and change to lock mode the camera is still inclined. I need to much time to make it balance. I think if camera is inclined in POV mode it will be balance when i change another mode. So how i can make it balance after use POV mode?
Can It shoot a 360 inception like rotation as it can be done easily on Ronin S?
This looks so cool! Many gimbals look too big to carry around a lot! I would love to use it for my videos about nature conservation and Sami culture here in Scandinavia! 😊 keep the videos coming! 👍
Would use it to step up my travel vids. Right now I'm shooting on a gopro hero and the x-pro2
Is it possible to put the fuji with battery grip on with this gimbal?
I just started shooting video, and I would use it for automotive and daily stuff. Also love your work.
Hopefully not too late. lol! Just getting into video work so I would definitely use this to start off on the right foot. Thanks for all that you give to the community!!
I have a Canon rebel t7i with a 18-55 mm lens, will it work?
Been using my xt2 mainly for photography and I want to step my video game with the new 4.0 firmware. A gimbal would also help.
I’ve been getting more into video lately and trying to improve my skills there in addition to just photography and I’d use this along with my X-T2 for some nice stable footage!
Excellent video! Quick and precise!
Hi Lee, have not tried much video, but with this gimbal it would give a good reason to do more video with my X-T2. Enjoy your quality videos !
I would love to try out some of the longer lenses on a gimbal. I am getting kind of tired of all the ultra-wide gimbal shots and am curious about how something like an 85mm would behave on a gimbal. Also, I am hoping to get into filming dance choreographies and having a gimbal would help a lot with that (imitating Tim Milgram's videos).
Documentaries! That long battery life would help with run-n-gun filmmaking as well as astro-timelapses. That's the best way I see to use the gimbal
Hola Zed, I’ve been documenting my kinds life for some while now and would love to take my filming to the next level. I believe the gimbal will help me reach that smooth look that I’m looking for... and I think it would be a great present for my 50s!! Cheers!!
Thank you so much!!! I was struggling with this for a while and you solved the whole thing!!!
Awesome! Definitely need this to start my channel!! Thanks, Lee!!
Thanks much for the awesome content and the giveaway! Ive been toying with the idea of starting a vlog and this gimbal would be amazing for b-roll as well as grabbing some great MTB and adventure footage from around the pacific northwest. Thanks much!
I would love using the crane as I'm just getting into video and it would add a ton of versitility to my wedding footage, and am also heading to Vietnam this summer and planning on starting a CZcams with the highlight of that trip being the opener.
I’d use the Crane Plus to shoot my summer video project: Summer at 26 - capturing my summer from travel to bonfires to party’s to chill nights!
Does the crane plus have 360 degree rotation on all of its axes?
Great review as usual! I'd use the gimbal for filming automotive short videos, as well as my kids. Thanks, keep up the great work!
would use this to get more clients! Being able to provide much more stable footage is something that opens you up to a much wider range of jobs to take on.
I would use this gimbal to help create and tell my stories through film and video. Camera movement is such important part of storytelling and filmmaking, without it we couldn’t get certain points across. I Definitely feel like having a gimbal can help achieve these results.
Hi Zed, I hope you're well
I’d use the gimbal to start shooting music, travel and mini documentary styled videos aside from professional use for when ever I work for brands
Keep up the amazing videos and thanks for the tips
Hey Zed! I will use the gimbal to make super cinematic shots and create a short film.hopefully building up to a full length film
What quick release is best for the crane plus ?
I would love Zhiyun Crane Plus to make difference on my art, love the smoothness of the gimbal, wish I own one before I die
I'm here from your latest video reminder as I definitely did not see this video review. Also, dope review lol!! Super helpful. I'd love the Crane Plus for the bigger weight capacity to help with my current a7Riii and 16-35 GM set up. Cheers!
i’ve been shooting photography for years but recently moved to LA and would love to start shooting more video. the crane would be amazing for music videos 🙏🏼
Super dope! Id love to use this gimbal for a documentary I’m working on, interviewing former military and discussing the effects of ptsd and how that affects their everyday life.
Also my name is daniel rainwater. In case it was confusing with Instagram lol
Even tho I subscribe to your CZcams channel I just watched the video on the Crane Plus. I received the Zhiyun Smooth 4 1 week ago and am using it to shoot videos for my partner who is an executive coach. I had wanted to purchase the Crane plus but at this point couldn’t afford it so I went for the Smooth 4, which is OK but still want to eventually get a gimbal suitable for my Panasonic G85. Thanks so much for all of your videos, I really find them informative. Keep up the good work!
Awesome review. I need it. I want it to learn video and need to my travel gear
I would love to use it to make videos which requires lots of movement, for wedding shoots and experimental stuff as well.
1. My crane app just crashes instantly hence can’t change settings?
2. My videos are jittery! What setting will stop this? Yhx
Trying to work on documentary stuff w/ jiu jitsu/mma gyms. I’ve always wanted to have one, though all of my budget for this yr is going into traveling 🙏🏼🤙🏼
Great video, I would use to start using all kind off video, but primarily I would use to shoot b-roll
Nice and informative as ever dude! Great experiment with the crane there. Much peace and love.
