I was gutted when Merson left after this season. He was awesome
He got the club up and left on a high
I joined the Army the beginning of 97 and was devastated I had to give up my Saturdays and miss the next 16 years of watching My Boro the first thing I did when I got medical discharged is buy a season ticket and return to the magical Saturdays once again lol

I'm a United fan, but I loved watching Boro, from 96 - 99, Ravanelli, Beck, Branca, Merson, Gazza, Ricard, Emerson, Branco, Festa & of course Juninho, a very exciting team to watch.
Whoever thought putting music over the Liverpool second leg and one of our greatest ever Riverside atmospheres needs shooting 😂

What could have been, if only Paul Merson had stayed on in Boro. These guys should have done much better, just like Boro in 1974/75.
Gisbbo has taken the club as far as he can. He sell and let someone else richer take the club forward. Middlesbrough fc has went backwards since the days of European football. That's due to piss poor management starting from the owner.
My first ever boro game was Stoke at home. Lost 0-1. Typical
Is it just me or with all the money that Bryan Robson spent whilst at Middlesbrough to be relegated, lose 3 cup finals & only finish in the top 10 once when in the PL is just slightly underwhelming? On the plus side at least the Robson years were extremely eventful!
