Iâm not sure about that.
The season could have been deemed void or whatever with the coronavirus.
Amazing recruitment by Liverpool since Kloppâs arrival, contrasts greatly with Unitedâs inefficient spending in the same time period
Even with big money, it is hard to be a title contender unless you both get successful transfers and you can improve players. Liverpool has had its stumbles and will have stumbles in the future, but they have built up the foundation to come back even stronger in the following year.
I give Ole a lot of credit for turning the recruitment around. I am not a Solskjaer fan, but he is getting the most important thing right.
Compare with Arsenal and Tottenham, who have both been underperforming because their transfer strategy has been uneven.
it's all down to theownership. FSG made their reputation reviving the boston red sox to break their team's 86 year title drought and now a 30 year title drought at liverpool is also over. the glazers who own man united have been taking on debt and extracting profits from the club without extensive reinvestment. old trafford is starting to show its age whereas anfield is getting fresh upgrades. united still lead in shirt sales but liverpool should overtake with their deal with nike soon.
30 years we have waited. 3 decades of hurt, frustration, near misses and heart breaks.
Many many such heart breaks later.. we finally emerge out of the storm. The sun shines bright on us, as we win the title we most coveted.
Yes but the wrong type of sun shine we want XD (the extreme heat). Imo the worst time was when we almost won it with gerrard and suarez, truely heartbreaking but we've done it again so yeah!

It all started with Dembele missing THAT shot at the Camp Nou, which made a come back possible, after the comeback Liverpoolâs fuel was the media backing and supporting them which made them win the UCL, giving them hope for other competitions like the club world cup, which made the media more vibrant towards them, which made them feel and look stronger, whoever they met in the PL was afraid of them, referees wanting to be a part of this fairy tale made their way easier, every single fuuuuuuuckiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing match their would be refereeing mistakes in their favor, I am not saying they did not deserve to win some matches but their were definitely some games where they deserved to draw if not lose.
TLDR: Referees and social media were the main reason Liverpool won the league

@Sultan Abdulhameed II Most successful club in England, Man united below us and we're back on our perch, 48 major honours, United only 45 looool. Took Ferguson all that time to knock us off our perch only for all his work to be undone in 7 years hahahha
Liverpool have shown that player recruitment alone isnât enough to succeed. United signed some of the best players in their positions who regressed while at the club. Then after leaving, they pick up their previous good form: Depay, Di Maria, Zaha, Smalling, and Lukaku have been playing much better away from the club
Tifo, as a Spurs fan, could you please do a comparative video of Spurs v Liverpool over the last 10 or so years; from a business, recruitment & on-field POV?
2 very similar teams in terms of where they were, but vastly different from where they are now & I'm super keen to hear your thoughts!

As a Liverpool fan, i was shocked seeing Poch was sacked. I mean that man managed to take you all to UCL final (people would say lucky, but all finalists had luck at one stage or more).

Managerial prowess could be graded on the value the manager creates for the squad. This would make Klopp the worlds best having made good players become great players at Liverpool, and similarly at Dortmund

Liverpool are the best-managed club in the world (both business and football), with Man CIty close 2nd. From day 1, they have the blueprint and they stuck with it to the end. While most fans will not agree, I believe in every decision the club has made since the appointment of FSG. It all starts from the very top, that's why if clubs like Man Utd & Arsenal want it to turn it around it has to start from the top. Just buying superstars won't be enough, just look at Barca, when Messi retires they're in danger to be like AC Milan.
I'm also very impressed with Abrahamovic and Lampard, I think they will do better than City next season ; depending on who City buy this window , and Laporte's fitness.
To be fair, it shows how quickly things can change in football with the right manager and right players but now AC Milan are top of Serie A and the Barcelona team that were so dominant for years are now looking like they are in financial trouble and will have a tough time rebuilding as Messi is looking to leave and even if he stays he probably can't carry a team as he's no longer at his absolute peak. Even Bolton, Portsmouth and Wigan on a smaller scale were in Europe not too long ago and now are flipping between League One and Two. Spurs and Liverpool seem like well-run clubs behind the scenes who are in a better position than most to build and maintain success over the coming years.
@TASK FORCE BLACK turns out Abramovic was the big factor.
Your prediction gonna right!!
Congrats to Liverpool. They deserve it.
@Stehuntimari - salty
Great video. I've been an Arsenal fan for a while, but one thing that attracts me to Liverpool is their playing style and the way FSG run the club. Explosive on the pitch and smart, aggressive and hyper-efficient off it. Just brilliant to see them spend a fraction of what City, Chelsea and United spend and still do as well as or even better than them
It's not FSG it's Klopp who deserves the credit
Only Klopp deserves the credit. But respect to FSG for appointing Klopp despite finishing seventh with Dortmund
A striking video. First off as a spurs fan- congrats Liverpool
One of the main points here was the increase in matchday revenue. What FSG have spent on Anfield to get a larger return and what Spurs (and uncle Joe) spent on WHL (far more) and for what return (uncertain as the pandemic interrupted the season).
So there are the other income streams of other commercial partners- all Liverpool fans who are now roughly my age or older. Which means there might be CEOs in 20 yrs time who were childhood Man Utd fans
The Nike shirt issue is fascinating. Better distribution- but the shirts have been ghastly for us
Love how you have the video prepared for this occasion
At first I read "PSG" and I was like wtf?

Great video. FSG have been fantastic owners, getting Klopp in was the best thing they could have done for the club. A few missteps from them along the way too but really we couldn't have asked for better owners....especially after the Hicks & Gillette debacle.
With an average net spend of about âŹ15m per season under Klopp, the best part about recent success is that it hasn't been bought (like Man City's) but built cleverly and with the long term sustainability of the club in mind. The foundations are now there for Liverpool to be one of the dominant teams in England and Europe for the next decade.
Took a long time to rebuild and put a good system in place but I'm glad we finally won it.

Players can thrive excellently in systems once the right coach and staff are aligned together. Similar to how a great Monaco team virtually came out of nowhere. Mbappe, Bernardo Silva, Fabinho, Mendy, Lemar were made into superstars over the course of a season. Comparable examples at Leicester, and Dortmund and Ajax on their respective champions league runs, where the squad value seems to multiply
Super fast upload guys đ
Amazing Video!
Barcelona did this by buying Coutinho, they're to blame for this.
Maybe you could say that it was the selling of Torres to Chelsea for ÂŁ50m then. We had already had Firmino and Sane at the club before We sold Coutinho and bought Salah with a fraction of the money we got and got more success.
@@jimbo6059 Firstly, it's Mane not Sane. Secondly, Salah was bought 5/6 months before Coutinho was sold - Coutinho's sale instead financed the transfer for Van Dijk.
PSG started it by buying Neymar
Deal of the decade, what was the mark up on Coutinho, like 1700%? 142/8

Brilliant work as usual Tifo. Would like to see something similar explaining how Barca went fom winning the ucl with pep to swapping Arthur for Pjanic and having an ageing, messi dependent team. Overpaying for coutinho and Dembele and signing a player in Griezmann who doesn't naturally for our team..lol
because you got fucking scammed by us and then we batterd you 4-0 with the player we signed whilst coutinio walked around the pitch like a paper towl
NB used historic kits as inspiration and made arguably best kits we've ever had.
Man i enjoy this commentaryđ
It's entirely down to Klopp. FSG's methods (aka investing as little money as humanly possible) didn't work with any other coach, and Klopp has to be at his absolute peak for them to work with him (which as we can see from this season). No other coach of a top six club is made to play half a season with no senior centre backs and only Klopp achieves a top four finish in those circumstances.
FSG was behind Boston Red Sox's revival and have won championships in baseball ever since. And now they've done the same thing with Liverpool FC. It's great, love it.
FSG have nothing to do with it. Klopp deserves all the credit
Pains me to say it but thereâs something about Liverpool in recent years that is truly special. They have everything an English fan looks for hard work and oddly they still feel like the plucky underdog (despite spending loads) Also you can not deny that Liverpool are made for UCL nights the fans really are a 12th man. FSG, JK and the players have done a great job and truly deserve all the success they are getting.
yes but u gotta admit the new fans after that 2019 ucl win are toxic afff

Agree with the extended and holistic analysis of liverpool's success in the last decade. But, my question would be the future growth of the club, considering the current financial crisis due to COVID 19. Kit distribution will be impacted as not all retail stores will open, match day revenue will also be dented, as attendance is nil or limited in the future as COVID protocol and cap it of, how will commercial and sponsorship agreements impact during this crisis. Need a predictive analysis on the abive stated. Would be great. Ohhhh...btw i'm liverpool fan since 2004, proud of the boys. We will never walk alone...
