No legal company=no legal contract= artist owns all copyright.
They can Copyright claim their company for using anything they have, and sue the person who used it, not the company which doesn't exist.
That's not entirely right. Any place I can think of has protections in place for people who believe they are signing a contract in good faith. Most courts would certainly force the agency, although misnamed, to follow through with their agreements. Naturally as it is in so many other cases you'd need to get a judgement for collection, since this guy seems like he wouldn't want to pay.
As I understand it (from the start of the video) the company didn't own anything, they are just an agency to help get sponsors, etc.

It's a talent agency, not a VTuber company like Hololive, so they never owned any of the IP in the first place. They provided management for indie streamers (not all VTubers) and worked out brand deals. Owning the content is not part of the business model. So the validity of the contract is moot with respect to copyright.
Obviously, not trying to excuse anything he did, just clarifying the business model.

This story is just getting started. Lots of info came out in the last couple days. I expect at least 2-3 more False videos on this topic. Many innocent people have been hurt, lied to, and manipulated against each other.

I mean this is completely unrelated and out of left field, but there was that famous private military contractor company called what was it black water..or whatever?
They didn't get the military-industrial complex and political usual suspect people on their board, and they didn't grease the proper palms, so they ended up being the scapegoat for all misdeeds that were done in that time..

His sister got cushy cabinet position to protect her student loan "business", not to mention his ties to Amway which runs a quasi-legal pyramid scheme. His whole family gets a free ride in politics.

The fun thing about the "LL" in LLC is that it stands for "Limited Liability". Forming and maintaining an LLC is to protect you and your business interests from exposure to lawsuits and debt collectors. If Seth hasn't filed or maintained his LLC, then he and the entirety of his personal assets are exposed to court judgments against his business activities.
Asmon just advocating against these bad actors taking advantage of vtubers cause his daughter is a vtuber, that is so holsom man...with all seriousness though glad you shining more light on some of this crap that being done to them

Nijisanji hasn't fallen maybe EN branch but the JP branch is thriving they keep getting sponsors.

Even if they disolve the EN branch the main company won't care they will continue with JP since it makes more than enough money. Their main money maker is JP and they keep getting big sponsors.

As A VTuber myself, Agencies are kind of a scary thing to get into. Don't get me wrong, I only just started out, but these agencies out there are not what you think they are. There's a lot going on behind the curtains that we are all unaware of, ESPECIALLY VTUBER FANBASES that most of them are highly unaware of what's really going on behind the scenes. Agencies help you out a lot sure and offer things for something in return, and this entirely depends on what kind of contract (NDA) they want you to sign. NOT TO MENTION, but VTubers who are SMART will call a Lawyer in to literally overlook it and discuss terms further. But nowadays as we hear what's going on with some agencies and small groups, things are tearing apart fast.
Remember VTubing is just being a streamer/content creator but ON HARDER DIFFICULTY. May sound crazy, but with all this stuff that happens behind the scenes, it's absolute insanity we all have to deal with in the background.
I am not entirely speaking out for VTubers here, but this is my knowledge in general for how much crap happens behind the scenes.

Nothing new under the sun. Fleshtubers were dealing with the same problem at the height of Multi-Cannel Networks, even the big ones. Whenever something gets popular fast, scammers fill that space.
VTubers agencies are similar at what CZcamsrs had to deal back in the day, for example Machinima. Thankfully CZcamsrs gave them the middle finger and learn how to grow in numbers by themselves and hopefully VTubers will do that too.
Good agencies provide managers, promotion and other supports like vshojo and hololive do.
Even bad agencies like niji still good rather to debut as nobody indies, who's gonna watch their debut? Their mom? @@ProvectusNova
