Reminds me of the time me and my wife were in a Jamaican resort and I said to her, "these Jamaicans love some whyte folks." We both bust out laughing.. It was painfully obvious based on the subtle more enthusiastic treatment they were given by the staff.

In most of Africa, white folks tend to have more money than the locals, hence why they tip.. and/or tip *more* than black folks. So over time, most Africans have developed a correlation between higher tips and whites. If you're a black man who tips as much as whites do, you're the exception, not the rule.

    • @HypnoticHollywood

And just ASSUME white ppl tip better. You'll be amazed how broke and busted most white ppl are that are in Africa. They are living off trust funds and abroad businesses and credit. Most of white ppl feel ENTITLED to be waited on by black ppl, that slave era.. Ask the black maids how WELL their white employers pays them..

It's simple. When the common African man or woman looks around and sees economic prosperity in their environment, they won't see others as better positioned, more influential or more powerful etc. than them. This is true of a lot of cultures from Africa to Asia where oyibo man is given undeserved privilege. Nothing to be emotional about really, we just need to stay on the lane of improving economic welfare.
p.s. the point with service staff goes to the exact same point above. Class discrimination in Africa is very pervasive, which is why we need to build up our entire societies so that nobody is at the "bottom".

****The privilege would evaporate as soon as Africans and the diaspora roll up their sleeves and start building the continent's infrastructure like the Chinese. This will make the West and Asia loose tremendous value.
Also, the extension of privilege would persist as long as the continent embraces foreign religions that promote images that glorify Europeans and Arabs while disdainful to the African image.

Exactly 👍🏾…a lot of Blacks worship not whiteness or light skin they worship what ists representing to them ! Whiteness = Power economically and militarily and also ( spiritually = FAKE white Jesus ) that blacks adopted, including the ( White beauty Standards = straight hair and featurism ) …but also the economic and infrastructure conditions of communities and countries is a huge factor of self esteem and if you lack basic infrastructure basic functioning of a society…your skin color will be associated with that failures and short comings and you unconsciously think your are less because you can do it as well as like other groups..even though the Europeans build their shit up at the expense of African Slave labour colonialism and resources theft ….What Africa needs to do is to develop economically, militarily and spiritually ( African centerd religions NO IMPORTS ) then you will see the Self esteem growing with it ! Ask China 🇨🇳
