I'm 58, and I've ridden 2, 3, and 4 wheels in the snow, and I've got to say 3 wheels have been the best in snow for me. I don't have a bike at present, but I'm almost positive the TW 200 will be my next bike.
I would like a TW eventually because it seems so fun but it’s low on the list unless I upgraded the DRZ125L that I got “for my daughter” to learn on. That’s a fun little trail bike too.
Thumb up and saved to my TW200 Content playlist. Great vid.
Thanks man!!!
That intro was awesome!!
Thanks!!!
Nice tdub 👍🏻 i love mine! it really is a do all type of bike
Yeah it is!!!
Nice review of your mods. I'd think it would be a good RTW ride except for possible difficulty finding a replacement rear tire in more remote countries and the small fuel tank/short range, so a spare fuel bladder might be needed. Just travel at a slower pace than what you'd do on a T7?
Great build!!
Thank you!
Looking good!!!
Thanks!
Foldable mirrors next...those stock ones catch tree branches when riding in the woods. I have those OEM ones on my old XT200 too and they catch things.
I've actually never swapped a set of mirrors until the other day when I put some small flip ones on my 701 handguards. Definitely cleans up the look!
Such a nice machine. I been waiting for one to show up for sale near where I live. There were 2 in the past year, but both of them were the very first year they were introduced, and neither of them were in decent shape. To top it off, they were asking way too much for one of them, and the other one didn’t have a title. I bought a 300 Rally last year so I been having a lot of fun with that, but I wanted a TW before I bought the Rally, and I still want one. They are not easy to find. At least not down here in the south.
I actually came across a few here before I bought this one. Seems like there's always at least one for sale, but often times over priced. How do you like the 300?
@@SwankyCatProductions I love it. No regrets here. It’s been almost a year now, and plenty upgrades later, but I knew what I was getting myself into before I made the purchase. It’s really my perfect bike now. I want a TW though because I know it will be an excellent addition to the stable. And in a couple of years I might add a something a little bit bigger as far as an adventure bike, then I’ll have all my bases covered. Plus, the TW will make for the perfect buddy bike, not to mention I know that I’ll have a blast on it! What state do you live in?
Like the white pods
Thanks! They've got a few colors available, definitely nice to be able to color match the bike!
Such a great little machine and your build makes it that much better. Keep up the great work brother 👊
Thanks man! Yeah it's surprising what a few small tweaks can do for the overall look of the bike!
@@SwankyCatProductions the fact that we can do all this ourselves just makes it that much better right
Thanks ...How tall are you and what is the name/ type of bar you went with?
Have you looked into the big gas tank for it, or it gets good enough economy as is
I have the IMS 313114 shifter on my 98 Tdub which gives me a lot more room for shifting. Seriously and 1" longer than stock.
I definitely need my extended lever on the KLR. My boots fit the TW pretty well as is though actually.
Moved my shift lever.
Bradley performance makes a foot peg one inch down one inch back
They have been hard at work creating TW parts! I looked over their website a bit the other day and can't believe all the mods they have!
What front tire is that?
Do you think i can take on a 500km gravelroad trip in a day..
Putting wide fenders up high defeats the purpose of mud protection. The higher up it is, the more the mud is allowed to spread and accelerate.
I love the look of your tw200!
Thanks! I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out too. I actually just stuck a bunch more parts on it for adventure riding 😁
I had a T7 back when you had one and posted videos. Ironically, now I want a tw200 because its grippy tire size and ease of slaying the most difficult terrain. Would you say good deal?
Huh, funny. Yeah it certainly does well at crawling through rough terrain!
What do you think about the MSR gear? Are you planning on doing a product review?
The arm armor is a little stiff, makes it hard to hit the buttons on my com lol. But other than that I love it!
A rear disk would be a big improvement.
I suppose the back is a little weak...
They sell a disc brake kit for the rear tire
That would be a good idea...
Junk
Ben Jammin still be Tdub Jammin!😁
Ya man! After this ride I kept wanting to take it out again haha.
heres what i would do to your bike....front and rear springs, atv tire, bigger fuel tank, 54T rear sprocket.
A bigger tank would be nice but I just can't let go of the early 2000s paint job haha. Heavy springs would be great but I almost like the sloppy stock setup, I'm afraid it'll lose some of it's character lol. Also I'm just to cheap haha.
@@SwankyCatProductions haha. the springs are worth it. i did mine last year with just the ProCycle fork springs and rear spring. It was like $200. You're not cheap, i see all the toys you have and all the aftermarket parts and accessories you get for them. lmao
I'd sell everything i own before i ever thought about selling my tdub
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
They really need to put a modern 300cc in this machine. We did a lot to our TW and it’s just not amazing.
Few more inches of suspension even 1-2” more and make a better offroad rear tire then add 10 more hp and it would be acceptable IMo
That would be an interesting bike. Honestly though I think that would turn it into something other than a TW. What you've described is fairly similar to a KLX300 super moto with aggressive dirt tires. Which sounds like a lot of fun, but wouldn't be cheap to develop and would put the bike in competition with the other quicker dual sport / super motos out there.
@@SwankyCatProductions Its a more capable TW with big tires. The TW community its large but they NEED more power. IF yamaha built it, people would buy it.
Im selling my xt250 2017 , fuel injected
Bradley products rear disc brake mod
Maybe I'll check that out, thanks!
Can it overheat the engine driving like that at slow speed and high revs ?
No your just beating a small engine up trail ride is ok its not designed to take a lot of abuse as swanky kitty is doing
Your gonna run out of blinker fluid.
Homeless senior trying to survive on half of retirement because gov stole the rest needs transportation like this... be nice to have one of those "everybody gives a dollar" program so I can afford this setup...
You dont need two dual sports. Now sell me the tw for 2500.
I had a klr650 sob was horrible in sugar sand. Heavy bastard.
Haha I've actually got three, but I think I'm going to keep this as a spare for friends to ride.
Seems like about half of your build you were disappointed with. Good to know.
