Hey Patrick, Thanks for hanging in there! I too am keeping my Ocean. Not much of a choice,I went all in and still owe 50 grand. Have a EVolution Autosports an hour away in PA. Hoping the "Fisker King" can come thru for so I can at least get service. Keep the info coming!

Agree 💯 with you!! I’m also here for the long haul on my FOO. Our family loves this car. Despite the turmoil with the company, the car has been very reliable and so much fun to drive.

Regarding, what you are hinting at, the guy that reviewed the car with 5 million that say it, MKHD or something like that. I bought my first 3D Printer 5 years ago, now I have a 3D Print farm and print as a corporation. But it took me a sold 1 month to learn about the printer and get average first prints. Took me another 3 weeks and I was getting excellent prints. So, that's about 7 week, the first week was full of failed prints. I saw a youtuber, about 2 months after that, who had been 3D Printing for years and also reviews 3D Printers. I watched he video. She did a live unboxing, assembly, and immediately following attempted a first print. She fully failed for the exact reasons I failed. So she said the printer was not good. If I had watched that video I would not have bought this printer which, today, is outdated BUT I still use it for small parts where I do not care about speed. BUT it is still a really excellent printer. My point is that the Fisker reviewer was not with the Ocean long enough, as this 3D Printer reviewer was, to be fair about the Ocean. Also, if you think about it, there is no standardization of operating systems with todays cars. Take computers, and cars are now computers on wheels. But computers have standardized operating systems Windows or MAC OS. You can go from one computer to 10 and be as fully useful on any of the 10. You can't do that with car, no standardization to be able to review a car, specifically the tech, and provide an accurate viewer unless you have driven it for a substantial amount of time.
Good Morning Dave, such a good example again not that I like to say anythink negative about somebody also on youtube anyhow I think that´s exactly the case her a lot of aspects you would have seen driving the car longer etc. thats why I like that long time driving experience because this gives a 360 view of it as you said with your printer so cool said.

Good Morning, thank you so much really appreciate it and hope also that your FOO is not having a problem and you can drive also a lot of miles with it. Sure I keep on going many plans in the pocket the "bigger videos" just also take a bit more work around with editing and also depends a bit about the weather conditions. E.g. we have in the area of Stuttgart an old outdoor track race what was amazing that formula 1 was driving there etc. It´s still out there as a normal road I like to also do a little report about and drive it with the Fisker this takes a bit time eg. but things will come ;-) thanks again.
Danke Patrick, I appreciate your views about the Fisker Ocean, Fisker the company and the Fisker family of owners. I'm keeping my One until I know there won't be any software updates, so, until then, I'll continue to enjoy the ride and pay the bill.
thank you for nice comment. Yeah totally understand it, we spend pretty much money for a car as long it works all fine I just hope it will have a happy end somehow. Maybe later the cars getting some value back again? Could be that there will be a hype around if they not get produced anymore due the fact that the desing is pretty cool but let´s see.

We have also a old naturel race track where I like to drive trough with the Ocean ones and make a reportage been a pretty cool reaceplace 40 years again so stuff like that will be coming also on the channel. really love what you said - thank you.

That guy from Fisker Ocean Specialist, he seems too one sided for me. Seems like more of a guy wanting to sell the car than fully being honest about the risk. Everyone has their own risk tolerance BUT it is important to discuss the risk so each person can then evaluate how tolerant they are knowing the risk. He just is too one sided for me to watch his channel or shorts. I don't watch him.
@@DaveDarin understand your point totally and all sides should be covered anyhow what I love with Mike is his passion about it and he is pretty skilled with technical aspects
@DaveDarin can confirm here on Patrick, Mike and I we also good friends, He is really cool guys I like that he is not negative, he could and generate a lot of views for his channel but he decided not to do and also as pama says the technical knowlege is pretty outstanding look at his last video what he did with the lights etc. thats pretty cool value.

Hi Patrick, for your information, since 2008 Jaguar Land Rover is a part of Tata Motors. so they have already access to the European and US market. not sure if that would be then a reason to jump on the opportunity. Still having said that, I am with you on hoping that the interest is real.
Ok wow that´s pretty amazing by the way cause the ocean looks pretty close to the desing of Land Rover haven´t seen that when I have been looking at TATA thank you so much!

Ah I see well can understand totally the frustration around specially when you have a lot of issue with the car, I guess I been a bit lucky mine was so often in the service that it at least rolles...but can understand your point I hope you can cover the looses somehow.
Tata will buy Fisker so they can get access to the US & European markets? They already own Jaguar & Range Rover, both of which have sold cars in both the US & Europe for decades.

Two new software versoins are approved to be released very shortly this may include adaptive cruise control activation. TATA will sell the Ocean in India by december 2024

Tata owns Jaguar Land Rover so they actually produce more cars at magna then Fisker^^

Hi Patrick I like you was an early adoption of the FOO and feel let down as paying £64000.00 in November and waiting over 18MONTHS to be shafted by Fisker with no communication or response from the company and for the car to lose £40000.00 in less than 7 Months is so appalling. SHAME ON YOU FISKER INC

I can give you a little info on TATA. They actually own Jaguar and Jaguar has the iPace which is electric. In fact Magna, which manufactured the Ocean also manufactures the Jagar iPace. I live in Arizona and a company called Waymo has self driving cars which are always the Jaguar iPace. I am not speculating at all buy TATA actually does have an electric car, the Jaguar iPace which I did test drive and it's OK but the Ocean is much cooler. It is a sight to see, driving in Arizona and seeing no occupants in the WAYMO iPace. It's really strange seeing that and we see it everyday here. I will add this. Jaguar is not doing well at all, with the exception of the WAYMO iPace cars, but not sure how much support that gives to Jaguar. In fact the 2 local locations that had Jaguar sales and Range Rover, now only have Range Rovers. I would have to drive to either Tucson, 90 miles away, or to some other location to get a Jaguar. My wife owned a 2007 Jaguar S type R which was an amazing car. But Jaguar is not at all doing well. The other TATA products might be doing much better, I have no idea. But would they venture into Fisker? Not sure.
So cool thanks for the update haven´t seen that with Jag and Land Rover when I was looking into TATA and that takes a bit may aways the argumentation to get entry to US and EU anyhow there are some simularities with it. Nice that you like the Ocean more then the Jag really interessting to see what´s going on.

I like your content and I watched your previous video where you were, understandably, frustrated with Fisker "Fiskers Greedy Game". Henrik and his wife FULLY mismanaged the company which means they mismanaged the Ocean One owners purchases of the car and the shareholders. I hope there is an investigation and potentially jail time. If you think of it, when you get married, if there is unpaid child support you can go to jail. This is sort of similar. The children being the owners and shareholder and Henrik is walking way from a family that he no longer wants to support. I do believe that the note holder is actually more responsible. And, as a result of that I was ALMOST an Ocean owner BUT I do not support the company nor this greedy investor therefore I am not making a purchase even at this lower price. At least not yet. Perhaps in a year on the used car market. There are used Oceans out there by sellers who wanted out but I am hesitant now due to potential lack of support. I saw one video where the owners 11 inch screen was malfunctioning. He tapped it on the side and it seems ok. But what happens if the display goes bad, that would be an issue. And getting that replaced would be as much of an issue as if something cracked the solar sky, which I have seen 2 people say they have cracked it already. So, I am on the sidelines. Nice car, SUPER nice car, but not for me yet or maybe ever.

Yeah I hope also if this all is the case and they did it with a purpose that they will get there justices I had to get scamed as anybody I would say that why my last video been also pretty straight forward. I also like the example you used for your explaination thank you so much for sharing it.
@@gentlemensworld Social media has good points and some very bad points. There are CZcamsrs out there that discuss workarounds for the Ocean and I have watched them as I was seriously considering being an owner. So, those are great uses for the social media. But that specific reviewer with the 5 million reviews. I believe he was 30% responsible for the current situation. Fisker did almost zero damage control, Henrik has said zero, and customer service clobbered it the rest of the way. I actually tried calling customer service to see how good or bad it might be if I was an owner. I waited 56 minutes and got disconnected. Tried again for 1 hr and 6 min and I hung up. Sent 3 emails on their website and got nothing. I even placed an order on one on their website. Took them a solid 5 weeks to finally get me an accurate bill of sale, by that time I found one locally. The only call I got from them was from sales to offer me a discount on an Ocean One for $10k off based upon my frustrations of waiting for the bill of sale. I turned it down. The guy was very cool to talk to and I told him I was considering driving one round trip from Phoenix to Philadelphia and back and he said he would email Henrik directly as he should have interest in me doing that. Of course, as expected, I heard nothing. I like the Simon and Garfunkel song "The sound of silence" but Henrik's version of "The sound of silence" does not provide any degree of confidence in his company or what USED to be his company.
Very good point no doubt about that Fisker is or was steering thereself into the situation and I share a lot with what was said in that video (btw it took it not to blame just as an example) I was also thinking about to make a reaction video to confirm a lot with the video but decided not to take care about. Again nothing here about any other youtuber as mentioned. I just wannted to say we should be taking responsibility for what we doing not do things for clickbating and psh something out. As in my other videos also I´m critizing and also highlihting the good things and not hidding anything what I think. Anyhow so good points at your end really appreciate the conversation. And the Sound of Silence seems there national hyme ;-)
I feel very bad for you. What a shame how things played out. A lot of good people like yourself really got hurt from this purchase. Henrik cannot be allowed to do this again. He has ruined tons of people lives. I don’t think he realizes what this can do to someone.

Trying not to sound damming but for those who have jumped on fire sale fisker ocean are preying the Cavalry are possibly, maybe , chinese whispers, fingers tightly crossed coming overthe hill GL . Those who have purchased at the original window list price ouch ouch 😢titanical financial loss. A hedged ev tec dream became a ev reality and now a sinking ship 🚢.in 2 yrs or less.

A wise man's motto: Never buy a car in its first model year of a new vehicle, and that is especially true when it's from a start-up. Even Tesla faced numerous problems early on.
When I realised that, I cancelled my reservation, and started to look for something else, and got my eyes set on the Porsche Macan EV, albeit had to wait a bit longer (and still waiting).
Patrick, If I'm not wrong, didn't you once said, if you haven't driven a Porsche you must try it once at least.
I wonder what made you chose this over Porsche. A Porsche is a Porsche, after all. A Fisker can never be a match for Porsche - no pedigree.
Well said words. Yes you need to drive onces a Porsche good memory I said that and this is still valid for sure. good question why I choosen the Fiske Ocean instead of a the Porsche Macan, well first of all I like new things and like to give "good ideas" a chance (well yes may the Fisker idea sounded great but the outcome we all aware now) with the old automaker I also have an issue that they not seeing you as a customer and the take anything out of the constraction kit and to safe money and the service is pretty bad. Not that Porsche haves a bad service but pretty expensive and when I look at the tycan also lot of issues (Battery death, Camera failure, charging port burned trough etc.) Plus at Porsche they use also the VW software what is crap (got better lately but german car manufacture are not the best software developer - what was a hope with the Fisker btw again we know how it looks). What is also the issue with the Porsche due to the fact it´s so well ingeniered the car drives you, you not drving the car anymore. It´s just personal thing btw but for me it´s getting to clean I still like to drive the car and get along with challenges (sounds may a bit stupid in english sorry for that). So a Porsche at this stage would be to clean to drive for me even when it´s really amazing how the cars are on chains. Also I ordered the Fisker bevor there was a Macan EV annouced and this been now 2, 5 years ago so I was also in the process of Fisker and the design of Fisker is much nicer as the Macan itself. If you would go down power and speed you would need to take the Macan Turbo S verison and this would push you above the 100k mark with all extra. Anyhow to summarize the Posche Macan I would say is the better car higher interieur and quality for sure with the garantie for a long term service ect. so totally confirming with what you said. Anyhow to be fair we also taking about 50% higher prices and know even 75% I would say they never able to get compared to each other in any case. Also the taycan I had in the video it´s was so much better from the inside but we talking here also about a 160k car. The idea of Fisker was great also segment I would say was great choosen but the car came to early on the market, they made several mistakes, mismanged the company at all and this put us user and also customers into a bad position. I know Henrik had another company but I also normally belive in secound chances and that people learn from there mistakes - good that you canceled the order and didn´t went trough this. And thanks a lot for the really great comment and questions I hope even with that long answer you understand where I was comming from?

I guess no one knew at the time, early on, Fisker will become like this. So, just bad luck.

I also had the Macan EV on order for 3 years and cancelled when I got the ocean, I managed to get out early. But I realised even from established manufacturers don't you be the one testing their software. you think Porsche software will be any better, good luck with that.
