Have you had any troubles transferring out of 4 low ? I keep getting the low and sway bar discount light coming on to add to the trouble when i transfer into 4 hi then 2 hi to get back on the roads the gladiator won’t give any power and doesn’t go over 30 mph ! It’s only when I shut the Jeep off and restart that the system resets itself..
Another awesome video.. Wth the OnX what GPS, what device are you using it on? Is it a tablet or an actual gps? If its a tablet, how does it track you with not reception? Thank you in advance.

I didn't think their off-road tires looked snow rated either.... I see deep groves but overall a flat tire
No way on chains. In deep powder, 2 psi on beadlocks is way better than chains. Nate knows he should have brought beadlocks
The best option is to put studded tires

Take it from someone that lives in the mountains and does a lot of snow wheeling and recoveries, that was very impressive! Your drone shots are excellent while moving. Looking forward to the next video.

He wouldn’t stand like that in a cap and the wheels of his jeep would simply burst from such a temperature!!
In such regions of Russia they use special antifreeze because regular antifreeze freezes...

@@user-zi3li3np4oyeah, our trucks aren’t built for extreme cold because they never see extreme cold like that. Those temps aren’t seen around the world so why would we design a truck to withstand such temps when they’d never see them?
@@ChrisRedding1 Are you writing that there are no such temperatures in the whole world? I wrote that in Russia (in Eastern Siberia) in winter it is up to 72 degrees Celsius and people live there all the time ...!!!
@@user-zi3li3np4o that’s not what I said at all. He’s in Canada. It gets cold, not -71C cold. The US and Canada has no need to build trucks for those temps because we don’t see those temps. You’re comparing apples to oranges.
These snow trip videos you're making are epic. The trip is awesome, the filming is excellent, and the sound and editing just really finishes them off perfectly. The night time bits with the vehicle lights add so much to the video too. I bet Nate must be considering a trailer destroyer too after a few of these trips. Wish I'd known about your channel before my last Canada winter adventure trip.

I personally love ONx because I tend to go out without any actual plans or mapped out routes and its SO convenient being able to just follow my way in back out, or find a connecting trail that loops back out. Have fun in Moab! I can't wait to see the videos from you and Casey. Being deployed and away from my jeep is easier when I can still watch these videos and have a taste of it.

Probably because the snow are fresh🥹 I’m not too sure tho
Depends on situation, but after certain depths of fresh snow, you want to stay on top of the packed layers, somewhat like sand. Chains can dig down and bury you.
Its amazing you guys can get so far up those roads with that much snow out there.

What do you guys have against chains in deep snow? It would help to keep your RPM lower and the less RPM the less wear and tear on your rig. It may be winter and and in snowing but you can still overheat your rig. On second thought this does make good video for 12 year olds. 🤷🙁🇨🇦🫣 when I was little I to uses to play king of the mountain too. Looks like your going to have to use a fishing depth gage to see the road below you?

I'm watching this from an Australian summer, its hot as hell and this was just what I needed, superb footage and editing guys.
Now I am by no means skilled in off roading and especially in the snow, but could you build some sort of "bolt on/off" plough type set up for the front? I kept wondering if you had something to make it easier to plough through? Insane video, great work guys, love it!

This is awesome video i like your perseverance and dedication to finish the trail best off road video ever
i've been stuck out there pretty bad like this with two other trucks, luckily we were camping too and we had food for three days. Couple of guys got wet and hypothermic, we were all exhausted from trying to get one rig self recovered so it was pretty hard to shovel snow, find and fetch firewood. all part of the adventure but not the camping experience we anticipated

Great video Being from the north central US we have lots of snow here and we use tire chains that really make a difference in snow, There are several different makes that will work for what and where you are headed. Just passing it on.
