      @Sharon Lewis hiya, great to hear from you. Unfortunately yep we had to replace it. It wasn't bad yet it was enough to not feel comfortable operating it. Hope all is well!

    Thanks for the video, it was a great help! I added an additional degree of difficulty by dong it in the water at the end of my dock (what could possibly go wrong)?! Your video greatly helped me get all the needed tools and parts ready and know what to expect before I got in the water, Thanks! "Since I am not a certified mechanic, I can ignore the safety recommendations." LOL! I get it, extremely unlikely your motor could spontaneously start. An easy way to totally prevent that is to engage your kill switch. No need to pull a plug after that. Just remember to switch it back before you try to start the motor on your next trip.

      Wow Mark thank you so much for the kind words!! Your level of difficulty was extreme and I am glad my video helped. Unfortunately for me I need to do my again. The Fox River here in Illinois is a prop eating machine haha!!! Take care and stay safe!!

    did you have a prop sleeve in there ? i have seen others complain about the prop sleeve breaking and causing cavitation and other performance issues.

      Hey Frank thanks for checking out the video. I did not have the plastic sleeve you mentioned. My boat years ago did have the plastic hunk of junk you mentioned though lol.

      @@BassFishingWithTKHeaven not that I know of just took out some fishing line that was wrapped inside the prop housing. Pulled it apart put back the same way then noticed abit of play only slight movement side to side 3mm max not sure what that is to inches. Large stainless prop. Same motor.

    • @BassFishingWithTKHeaven
      @BassFishingWithTKHeaven  Před 5 měsíci

      @@reeceprior3751 you should be fine. If it’s slight you’ll be good, I understand though when you had that slight movement it freaked you out, it did me the first time. Stay safe out there.
