Boston Whaler Rage 15 1994 BOAT TYPE Jet Drive Boats ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS 2005 Yamaha Outboard 60hp [ F60TLRD ] Gasoline HULL MATERIAL Fiberglass BEAM 6'5" LENGTH 15' NET WEIGHT (LBS) 1,200 I would like to know which would be the correct propeller to buy for my engine.
I have an older mercury 85 hp motor. The prop need to be replaced. On the barrel there is stamped 511W. On the hub on the back is stamped 48-65024-1. This is all I can find as far as marking etc. on my prop. The motor is an 850 mercury. I am guessing the motor was built in 1985. Can you help me?
Jim, According to the Mercury dealer site that part number goes through several supersessions until it lands on current part number 77344A45 which is a Mercury Black Max 3-blade 13.3x17.
Here is what I don't understand, my boat has a prop on it stamped 12.5 X 19--yet on line catalogue calls for a 12.5 OR a 13.5--how can the diameter be different for the same engine?

Not sure but maybe if you choose larger diameter prop you should have a finer pitch to not load it up too much
What happens if you have a prop with no information what so ever on it 😭😭😭😭
