    I was on the fence if I should get one of these systems or use the traditional tank and pressure switch. I will choose this system this was an excellent explanation about how this system works. Thank you

    Hi, I store my water in Ibc totes. Which model is good to supply my whole house with 2 bathrooms, 4 sinks, 8 other faucets( used later)?

  • @JeffersonBethkepage

    Hi there. So we have a unique problem in our house that plumbers haven’t been able to solve and I think this might be the solution. We have city water and our main house pressure is 75psi. But if we turn on just one fixture (like kitchen sink) the pressure drops drastically to 50. If two fixtures are on the whole house begins to dribble water only. So looking for something that can sense when those drops happen and only boost or maintain higher pressures when it’s necessary because a drop. Will this help?

      Also best place to purchase and do you know any of them that can plug into regular plug and not need 230?

      @PEARLWaterSystems  Před 2 lety

      Hello. A boosting system would definitively help you boost the pressure in your house, as demand increases. Keep in mind that the pump will always work as soon as pressure goes down,(when you open a Fawcett). What you are looking as solution, requires a more sophisticated system with a VFD (variable frequency drive), which is way more expensive.
      You can find our systems online via www.pumpstoponline.com Have a good day.

    For 10 sec, when the pump is on, and the taps are off, doesn’t it affect the pipe fittings?? Please Reply!

    • @18183
      @18183 Před 8 měsíci +2

      When you design a system the maximum pressure that a pipe and fittings can sustain must be more than the maximum pressure of the pump. Ideally pump max pressure should be half that of the pipes

    How this electronic device works? How does it stop when there is no water? How does it start when the water flows afain?

    • @SteveMcDonald-ku1ze
      @SteveMcDonald-ku1ze Před rokem +3

      The electronic module has two reed switches assoicated with magnets inside the pump chamber. One is the pressure switch which detects the full or dropped pressure in the chamber. When the pressure drops, the pump will start. It will stay running as long as there is flow. The other switch is associated with the flow valve so that while water flows, the valve is open and so is the switch. When flows stops (tap tuned off) then the valve closes and the switch operates causing the pump to stop running. The chip used is usually a LM4093 or similar, which is a quad 2-input (Schmitt trigger) NAND gate. It is wired as a S-R latch, with one reed switch input as a Set and one switch as a Reset. The pump is controlled by a relay, controlled by the output of the latch. I have also used the dual comparator inputs of a LM555 instead. It has a smaller footprint, and is just as cheap and reliable.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, so i can use this for any water pump right? I mean it still can work on any different on off pressure of that particular water pump?

    • @PEARLWaterSystems
      @PEARLWaterSystems  Před 3 lety

      Hello. It depends on the pump that you use; you have to select between the 3 different models that we sell. 22 PSI turn on, 32 PSI turn on or 42 PSI pressure turn on elecronic controller.

    • @PEARLWaterSystems
      @PEARLWaterSystems  Před 2 lety

      Hello.
      There could be many reasons for that. It could be pressure, it could be lack of incoming water flow/pressure. It depends on your installation...
      We highly recommend you to contact a plumber or an experienced contractor to check your system.

      I have the same issue. Had plumbers crawl through our household plumbing and declare there is no leak and yet the pressure drops from 70 to 18psi within two minutes. Consequently, the controller has the pump constantly cycling (one minute pumping to build pressure, two minutes to lose that pressure). Could it be a case of air in the system?
