  • #PostalPleasures Presents: Ghana Stamps - Goodwill Haul Bag 2 - Diana #Monkeys, #Trains, Christmas, & More
I find some really fun topical stamps in this small lot. The Highlight of this lot is the full set of 4 stamps featuring Diana Monkeys which was released in association with the World Wildlife Fund #WWF in 1994. this set has a catalog value of 8.50 USD in my obsolete Scott catalog.
Another Full set is the 100th Anniversary of the Universal Postal Union #UPU which features #Philatelic themes.
I also really like the Earth Satellite station stamp as it miss mostly black which is unusual and striking.
    Highlights:
    0:00 - Introduction
    1:04 - Diana Monkeys
    2:06 - Ghana Drives Right 1974
2:33 - Centenary of Universal Postal Union
    4:14 - 75th Anniversary Of Ghana Railways
5:22 - Commissioning Of Earth Satellite Station 1981
#Ghana, located in West #Africa between Benin and Ivory Coast, is the former British colony of Gold Coast, which achieved independence March 6, 1957. It includes the former trusteeship territory of British Togoland.
I love to hear from you, please tell me your favorite stamp from the lot and let me know if there are any topics you would like me to cover in the future. Thanks for watching!

I was in the Cub Scouts as a kid and my Mom was a Den Mother. I had to have a hobby to get some badge so my Mom made me choose what I wanted. The choices were collecting leaves or stamps. I chose stamps and she picked up a couple of those packets you use to be able to buy from department stores. One was Ghana and the other was Afghanistan. I bet I still have some of those stamps around.

I miss the days when department stores sold stamps.

Nice video, I always enjoy watching your channel and learn a lot about the stamps you have - wish I could be so knowledgeable just on the fly, I spend my time sorting with my nose in catalogues!

Thank you for posting these videos. Always enjoyable and educational. Thank you for the close-ups. To get technical... What is your process for getting the close-up shots? Scan with ? Resolution ? Do show and tell, :)

I will try to do a quick video showing my setup soon, but I just use Nikon z6II with the standard lens to record my videos and then later take the stills from a closer distance and with more zoom. I am still learning the camera which is why some of my videos or stills are too dark or light. someday I hope to save up for a macro lens.
