HOW TO FIX GAME HELLO NEIGHBOR THAT CRASHES ON STARTUP WITHOUT TURNING OFF YOUR INTERNET
I found this another solution on internet which i have not tried yet myself so not sure if this is going to work with internet ON or not. Please let me know if it works.
FIX:
Before you boot this game up, ensure that you have Steam or the Epic Games Launcher downloaded and updated. Find where Hello Neighbor is located in your computer. Look for the Engine folder, then find the Extras folder, next go into the Redist folder, then the en-us folder. You will see something called UE4PrereqSetup_x64, double click it and ensure that you also have this downloaded before opening up the game.
After ensuring that you have all of that done, type env into your windows search bar and find . Make sure you are in the Advanced tab and at the bottom right you will see Environment Variables, click it. NOW MAKE SURE YOU ARE UNDER System variables and hit New...
For the Variable name: OPENSSL_ia32cap
For the Variable value: ~0x20000000

Another solution is to turn off your internet and after that launch the game. Don’t turn internet ON until you finish the game.

@@SabihsLife it works in the game but not the menu. I have to use my keyboard to navigate the menu and looking back on this video you had to do the same so im assuming thats an issue everyone has. One very simple way is to turn off your wifi before you launch the game and leave it off until you finish

@@SabihsLife i just did before cause i wanted to relive the memories but also beat all the hello neighbor games, i've already beaten the full xbox one game which is the one shown in the video, hello neighbor 2, prototype, pre-alpha, alpha 1, alpha 2, alpha 3, but i will try reinstalling it again, im trying to figure out how to reset my alpha 4 progress but theres no tutorials and i can't figure it out myself.

Sometimes you find these smart solutions on faqs by searching on google in the form of text, sometimes on reddit chat. It’s highly unlikely you would find it on CZcams video except for my video only.
