I bought my tires on Amazon for $50 each. I installed them on the rim myself using tire irons. So I changed my tires for $200. Now I'm dreaming of opening a tire shop.

How much are you going to charge for your POS after the 1 year? Also what do you suggest to start accepting cards ASAP? I’m about to take over a shop that has been open for 7 years, older gentleman is selling me the stock of tires and equipment and letting me take over the lease. I’m not too experienced in tires but totally into cars and diy mechanic stuff. This opportunity just landed on my lap and I really want to take advantage of it. Hello Saul, I know you can open a tire shop man, as long as you got what it takes and the patience you can do it. Really I would say it just takes at least 6 months for a good store to start breaking even, but after that initial phase you really can start reaping the fruits of your hard work. So make sure you got enough for rent saved up, and be willing to but some 6-7 days of hard work per week, and I can guarantee you it will work out.

Biggest mistake was partnering up with the building owner that never works out I’m talking from experience but other than that good job 👍
You were so right. He ended up closing this shop due to conflicts with the building owner lol
How much capital did you spend? And how many employees did you hire?
I personally spent about $6,000 but consider that I did not have to purchase all those used tires in advance, and the equipment was also equipment I had in other stores. So if you don't have that expect about $15K of equipment, plus $10K in tires, plus $6k in setup that would be about $21-$30K

Hay man I sow you didn’t mention anything about certificates that you need to open the shop or you don’t need certification?
No need for certification if just working on tires, and even in auto repair, i've seen shops just hire mechanics but never confirm certification. But everyone runs their business as they please. x

Yes of course, just make sure you test it, this machine in this video turned out to be a scam... haha learn from my mistakes.

Well its really a thing of just doing homework, looking on the street, asking friends or other store owners. Eventually you'll find one.

They are but purchase amount has to make sense or must be a good customer to to supplier where they are willing to cut you a discount.

Yes I think they were at the end I just ended up giving them away to the landlord instead let him fix them. But i'm sure they could have been fixed.

The recycling company is the one that make an ass of money All the time. they never lose. That shit is a monopoly..

I think landlord wanted 50% of the business. or to start the profits.
You’re teaching people to be employees to themselves. $25 markup? What!? Stop it! Either you will be working on everything yourself! Or paying your employees minimum wage. Just stop it.

I think it really depends on what people want, I know alot of tire shop owners that charge more or charge less, at the end of the day you got to do what ever it takes to get people coming inside the door and closing deals. However I do agree with you in the fact that being the cheapest is not something anyone should strive for.
