this poem was an absolute masterpiece
I agree
@Luca Belle I Think this was actually written by Sera Gamble just like the poems Beck read in Greenwhich back in episode 1
IT WAS!!!!
FR!
@@spearshake4771 means? Pls explain
It was nice to see Candace come out of hiding after she realized Joe killed Beck when everyone else was to stupid to realize. And she was determined to be brave and speak for Beck since Beck couldnât speak for herself. Itâs a shame the characters never got to meet. They clearly felt a connection to each other Beck wanted to find and help Candace and Candace wanted to help Beck. Annoying Joe keeps winning
I agree! It's too sad but it's also beautiful that Candace was that brave. I'm glad that she supported Beck somehow although she was already dead.
Anna H Well what S2 reminded me of is the classic victim blaming that happens everyday. Candace immediately went to the cops and they blamed her and didnât help her at all. Next victim âBeckâ actually does end up dead. So she chooses to be strong and face her attacker. And cops didnât do there job again and as a result she was killed as well along with others. Which it actually happens everyday
@@JEM471025 True point. Sadly the bad people win too often.
Anna H GOOD JOE SHOULD KEEP WINNING LETS GOO THESE ANNOYING FEMALES TRYNA TAKE HIM DOWN BUT THEY CANT
@@c.l8375 i think you are missing the point of the show
âYou didnât have whatever magic turns a beast into a princeâ đđđđ
This is the exact part that i keep thinking about .......
I canât stop watching this, makes me miss Beck so much
Rona Rushiti u still Watching it?
I have 3 days watching this Iâm so sadđąđąđą
I adore her, she was such an inspiring character, and I will never forgive the writer for killing her off
@@Charlie-qk3py well she died in the actual book so it made sense she would die in the show.
I feel like her death was necessary because its realistic. People in these situations usually dont survive. They don't have a happy ending.
Just Milly yeah IK by writer I was saying the book writer
This scene is so powerful it makes me cryâ€ïžđ©â€ïž
Even tho I was annoyed how Beck acts sometimes I still miss her. I love this. This is sad... makes me miss her more
I don't, but the poem was good
All the men she has known in her life let her down !
jennis slay or she chose the wrong ones
Hamid Mohaddes I am sure that she "chose" her father and uncle đ
Hamid Mohaddes Also the women. Peach was literally Joe with a vagina
@@Anonym-kl9vf That's a hilarious way of wording it. đ
@@Anonym-kl9vf except Peach never killed anyone
Im not a touchy feely guy, But this rattled something in mean
Know the melancholy in this poem? Joe was the Worst thing and the Best Thing in her life, he was the only person she could really trust and that could really love her the way she desired, sure he was a psycho obssessed serial killer maniac, but he was the only one to push her to accomplish her dreams and inspirate to write, if Joe didn't appeared, Beck would be a unhappy, lazy, and controlled girl who probably never was gonna solve her father problems, her writer's block and she would had fall in Peach's baits every time never realizing how her best friend would do anything to keep her by her tail(even faking suicide, and sabotaging her carrer), and would had live a hedonistic life with several mens that would had only used her for pleasure.
Everyone hates Joe but imo, although he killed her he made her Life better
Yes, but at least she'd be alive.
@@federicaizzi6473 Iâd rather die knowing that I accomplished my dream than live the rest of my life as an empty shell who gets manipulated by the people around me
@Jack Sun I had forgotten about that completely. Without Joe she was dead. Her life was meant to be short
I dont agree with this and this wasnât the point of Beckâs poem and Beckâs story. In the original part of the show they have a flashback where Joe says âyou painted me out to be this monsterâ and thatâs when Beck starts writing. Joe painted HIMSELF out to be this prince charming even though he killed peach and her ex fling and stalked the fuck out of Beck. Beck was writing about how she was waiting on prince charming to free her when in reality, he ended up trapping her even more by giving her the illusion of freedom. This is where the writers of the show write the reality about Joeâs character, even though we see the majority of the show through his lense and justification, through Beckâs poem we see the REAL reality behind Joe. Thats what makes this poem so beautiful, its the only part of the show that honors reality, while the rest of the show we see through Joeâs pov. She wrote by herself the poem she wrote about her dad and her trauma, that wasnât inspired by Joe, it was inspired by her realizing she had to let her father go.
This is so sad. Poor Beck.
I wish I could write like that.
I cried with Beck's poem. She didn't deserve the ending she got.
Beck is the show's heart and heartbeat. Without her it feels...empty.
"Didn't you want this? Didn't you want this?" This is the beating heart of the show and books: no, she did not want this, she did not want this with him this way. No, Joe is not a good guy, no Joe does not love her, he loves the idea of loving her. This isn't a story about love. It's about pain.
"Didn't you want this?" Beck's whole life was a tragedy, Joe was the final nail in the coffin.
No, she did not want this. No one wants this.
No, she did not ask for it. Joe took it, just like every other predator in her life.
I relaised just now that it can also be "what if you canÂŽt love him BECK?" :O
E r i n either with back or Beck it means the same
@@erifoll nah u said back could mean beck too, not that it means the same
omG
my poor beck, deserves more..
babygirl, you deserved so much more. what happened to you it's not fair and I'm so sorry you fell in love with a horrible sociopath. he's a monster. you were a beautiful princess who needed good people who truly loved you in your life. I'm so sorry. I miss you.
emma gilmore it was fictional character after all . You are getting too emotional
@@hamidmohaddes2774 a lot of people get emotional over characters. i always do.
Ehh i wouldn't consider beck a princess. And lets be real out of all her previous flings Joe was better boyfriend than all of them too bad he was well.. Joe
@@asiv90 the point is: she did nothing wrong. she fell in love with a guy who seemed lovely and he murdered her. she *didn't* deserve that. and, to me, she is a princess
@@yorbenvanhees3362 even dexter's better than joe. at least, he doesn't kill innocent people.
girl, this was so amazing wow
Monsieur Chio thank you!!!!!
The scene she recited the poems is my favourite. The poem was a masterpiece
not me tearing up- her poem is a masterpiece
i know this comment is super late but damn, this is beautiful and powerful. Love the show a lot.
Thank you!
This was so perfectly put together (:
Jaqueline Medina thank you!!!â€ïž
Just watched 2 seasons and saw that first one is definitely better than the second. I miss Beck a lot, she wasnt like Love. She was brave and cleverâ€ïž love you beck, made me cry in that scene
This video is beautiful and tragic. You did wonderfully.
What gave me colder chills was the scene you edited for when she says âdidnât you ask for it?â the first time. The scene; it was on the ferry and the first kiss they shared since they broke up. It makes it even more haunting, given that she was free of Joe but she then went looking for him despite knowing there was someone else in the picture with him. And that kiss (+more) solidified his hooks were not only still there, but caved deeper in her. She never had a chance. đą
At least Beck managed to finally show the world her true form and in turn her true ability before being free for good...
You sound like Joe. đ
Wow she understood Beck better than the whole fandom. Everyone just keeps calling her a selfish whore without realizing that she was plagued by so many issues and anxieties.
Joe is the true villain of the story, keep that in your mind.
The poem is wow.
This inspired the hell out of me. I listened to this poem over and over.
You saw the gulf between you and the rich girls and vowed to stop believing in fairytales. But the stories were in you. Deep as poison. If Prince Charming was real, if he could save you, you needed to be saved from the unfairness of everything. When would he come? The answer was a cruel shrug and a hundred fleeting moments.
Beck is perfect. She knew how to love Joe, and we knew that Joe was so fall in love with beck than Love.
"How the hell did you end up here? You used to wrap yourself in fairy tales like a blanket but it was the cold you loved. Sharp shivers as you uncovered the corpses of Bluebeardâs wives. Sweeter goose bumps as Prince Charming slid one glass slipper over your little toes, a perfect fit. But by the schoolyard, real princesses floated by you on fall winds. You saw the gulf between you and the rich girls and vowed to stop believing in fairy tales but the stories were in you, deep as poison. If Prince Charming was real, if he could save you, you needed to be saved from the unfairness of everything, when would he come? The answer was a cruel shrug in a hundred fleeting moments. The sneer on Stevie Smithâs face when he called you a fat cow. Uncle Jeffâs hand squeezing your ass in the Thanksgiving Kitchen. The accusation in your fatherâs eyes when you told him what happened. From every boy masquerading as a man that you let into your body, your heart, you learned you didnât have whatever magic turns a beast into a prince. You surrounded yourself with the girls youâd always resented, hoping to share their power, and you hated yourself. And that diminished you even more. And then, right when you thought you might just disappear, he saw you. And you knew, somewhere deep, it was too good to be true. But you let yourself be swept, because he was the first strong enough to lift you. Now, in his castle, you understand Prince Charming and Bluebeard are the same man. And you donât get a happy end unless you love both of him. Didnât you want this? To be loved? Didnât you want him to crown you? Didnât you ask for it? Didnât you ask for it? Didnât you ask for it? So say you can live like this. Say you love him, say thank you, say anything but the truth. What if you can't love him back"
the didn't you ask for it part - IT makes me break down crying every time BECK DESERVED BETTER.
This gave me chills! I relate so hard to her writing!
I hate myself for not discovering this earlier. Her writing was amazing and your edit really enhances it. Breathtaking â€ïž
guinevere beck ,babygirl,i miss you so much đ
I loved this poem so much. It was so good. It both portrayed Beck so well in her circumstances but even out of context I feel like itâs a poem that so many people can unfortunately relate to.
I hate when people say Beck was bland, talent-less, and annoying. Completely false. She WAS talented, as shown by her astonishing book. The only reason why she may be perceived as annoying is because she didn't give in to Joe so quickly like Love. Beck was hard-to-get, and that's why Joe was so in love with her. Joe doesn't love Love. She was just his rebound from all the damage from his last relationship. She's too crazy for him, and he's too crazy for her, which will ultimately be the downfall of their relationship in season 3. After all, the ending of season 2 ended with Joe stalking his neighbor. Had things worked out with Beck, they'd have a chance.
Love is Joes karmic revenge. Theyâre evenly matched, evenly crazy. Theyâre either going to kill each other or destroy everyone around them but I donât think Joe and Beck wouldâve ever worked out. The moment they step out of line and he canât control anymore is the moment they did and this poem shows that exact moment. Love, ironically, canât be controlled and vice versa which is why their relationship, in hindsight, is perfect
ummm beck was not hard to get at all lmfao
@@qqisjdk yeah.....because he held her boyfriend hostage and killed him?
Joe doesn't love anybody. Joe is only capable of obsession, rage, self-righteousness, and get bored easily. Had things "worked out" with Beck, He still would have eventually started in on someone else. People like him don't get better. Joe cannot accept genuine humanness from his victims for long, imo. Beck was heartbreaking because her traumas are what led her to giving Joe and a chance in the first place. If she had figured herself out just a little bit sooner.. Just a liiiittle. She could have gotten genuine therapy, and become a better person. She didn't get that chance, though. She was murdered instead.
Beck was a good writer. She was just surrounded with pretentious stuck up rich people with their high and mighty attitudes. She was a regular girl just trying to make her way in life.
i love this show so so so much!!!.... it has been one of the best shows i have ever seen...the plot twists were amazing and ... beck........she was amazing....i love her writings it is amazing!
I've never binge watch any series thrice like You! The script is so brilliant! The plot twist is so amazing and unpredictable. God job writers, actors, directors, casts and crew!
Aww Iâm crying my poor baby , she suffered so much with her childhood , her family, being poor , her fake friends all she wanted is to write my poor child
Bec was the heart of YOU... without Bec it's just YOU trying to justify its existence đ„

I really loved this so much, made me want to rewatch season one.
Wow... This was amazing
Cii Burgos thank you so much!!!
The best music which fits this series
âFrom every boy masquerading as a manâ #ThatPart
What if you canât love him back? - What if you canât love him, Beck? Both ways are haunting but itâs beautiful how, on the phonological level, itâs even more catching
Every girl can relate to at least 4 situations mentioned in this poem
Beck was so authentic

Wow thatâs deep I miss you beck đđđđ

update: iâm in tears
ââMe too..right now
Iâm so annoyed Joe keeps getting away with everything! I donât understand why everyone likes him so much. Iâm always rooting for the people heâs wronging
That's the serie is't made for everyone, there is a deeper meaning
Beck was done dirty by Netflix she has so many dimensions in the book, but the writers ended giving Joe a lot of Beck's positive character traits bc Joe doesn't actually have a personality in the books his entire personality is whoever he's obsessed with.
aah that was just powerful, you made it more beautiful that way
she deserved the world, but the world didn't deserve her
I donât even like beck but this made me so emotional đ

This poem is one of the best! Best scene in the entire season
Only if Joe had a stable childhood and didnât become a monster,Beck would've found her prince charming.
Scary to even think the person once saved your life, ultimately became your killer.
