- How does one explain a concept that is often considered to be unexplainable? I'm not sure but lets give it a go anyway

I definitely busted my balls and broke my brain putting this one together - at this point people that still think I'm a lore tourist can ligma

DROP OPINION VID ON AMAZON AND HENRY PLEASE 😭
What is a ligma?
Still easier than explaining why female space marines can't exist.
You know I was just expecting this video to be 11 minutes of screaming
Funny as fuck 😂😂😂😂😂
That would have been a great April fools video
screaming like sly marbo or a screamer of tzeentch?

Day 4 of asking MajorKill to make a video on how the setting would be different if Angron never had his butchers nails.
I think that because of his empathy he would've acted as a moral compass for the war hounds, and even the other primarchs. He could have helped Kurz deal with his insanity better. Maybe help lorgar deal with his zealotry, or at least sniff out erebus early on. His redundancy would have been the lion I think. Shit, he might even have sniffed out fulgrim early. And probably would've helped everyone take a more moderate path.
Hmm......interesting!
Angron was supposed to use his empath ability to calm a black raged sanguinius
U sure it's day four mate

@@jakehinton732 Gotta love Miller's nonchalant "We're leavin"
Have you guys ever thought that cenobytes from hellraiser are slannesh cultist that earned a little bit of favor from fulgrim😂🤦
Only in 40k do you have to go through literal HELL to reach your destination.
Minecraft
What about event horizon?
Doom Guy does it all the time
That destination is also literal hell.
There's other stories where it's an *option* to go through hell to get to your destination, but in 40K it's literally required (for most races).
The Warp used to be called the Realm of Souls before the War in Heaven, a conflict so catastrophic it made the Horus Heresy barely a blip on the radar, tainted it and it gave birth to the three older Chaos Gods: Khorne, Tzeentch and Nurgle.
Horus Heresy when you think of it is literally the result of a forgotten project the Old Ones made that they never ended up using. Humans just lived past their expiration date and have no clue about anything that's going on around them same as Orks.
@maltheri9833 Heresy.... prepare for a vist from an inquisitor near you
Wasn’t this retconnned and chaos always existed even before the war in heaven? Which is very dumb to me, but I think that’s what games workshop did….
@@TheSurgeIsHereno one acknowledges that retcon
"Everyone stop fighting and start singing Kumbaya" Chaos god of Kumbaya: "Hello!"

If Lovecraft can describe the unknowable, you can do this!
EXACTLY
Attempt number 51:
What if the Primarchs were found in order of their creation?
WE HAVE PASSED THE HALF WAY POINT!!! THE ROAD TO 100 CONTINUES!!
Yeah brother,continue our crusade!
Keep up the fight brother
We believe in you
You can do it
KEEP FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT BROTHER!!! 👊👊👊💪💪💪💪
The funny thing about pre-slaanesh eldar is that, because of the whole "able to reincarnate at will with all of your memories intact" thing, that implies that literal, ACTUAL murderfucking was not only 100% on the eldar degeneracy menu, but was probably passé since it wasn't that big a deal, meaning "murderfucking slaanesh into existence" is probably *massively* understating it.
what this also means is no new eldar souls were born during this time
The "the warp has always existed and chaos fought the old ones" bit actually makes sense when you consider the timelessness warp shenanigans.
Same way even though Slaanesh was born sometime in 20th millennium, immediately upon being born it was as if she'd always existed. Same reason why even though Samus was born from Loken's death after the Siege, immediately after that event time worked as if he had always existed. He has always been the man beside you. Look out!
So from there we can easily imagine that yes, the Old Ones and other Xenos did exist in a time where the warp was peaceful. But the moment, in the future, each of the chaos gods were born, the Old Ones saw the warp grow increasingly tumultuous.
This is a pretty sensible retcon given the inherent nature of the warp and pre established logic of how time works/doesn't work.
It isn't like the most recent "they have always existed" moment GW gave us recently.
And Samus. Loken was fated to die so Samus would exist
warp explained, sure... nice try tzeentch.
Bot account that stole a comment. I'd say nice try but that'd be a lie.
The funniest thing I’ve realized a while back is chaos needs real space to exist so they never want peace. They don’t want humanity to die or become fully chaos because if they win, they lose. They never want the game to be finished.
End Times disagree
@@christiandauz3742
Just another thing that makes it suck, lol. The Warp and in conjuction the Chaos Gods are connected to the mortal plane, more specifically, the mortals. If mortals no longer existed, they will all die. But of course, GW once again retcons established lore for the sake of money or irl agendas
honestly it seems like only tzeetch realizes this and takes steps to keep the status quo of both warhammer settings in check. khorne doesn't care and only wants smashy smash. nurgle just wants to spread his plauge influence in his """loving""" manner of brutal infection. slaanesh is the god of excess, she doesn't understand the concept of holding back.
Tzeench realizes if warhammer stop warring then gw would kill the universe @@sovietunion7643
From what I gather, humanity's only got a few ways out of having to deal with Chaos - they can a) find a way to cut the link between the Warp and realspace, effectively destroying the souls of all warp-connected races in the process, b) exploit the belief-based nature of the Warp to somehow create a situation where the Chaos gods are killable because everyone believes it to be so _(an idea that gets addressed in The Roboutian Heresy, a solid AU fanfic where the traitor and loyalist Primarchs' allegiances are inverted)_ or c) do what is pretty much impossible in 40k and somehow calm the galaxy down enough to stabilise the Immaterium and turn the gods into good guys.
I like to imagine that Milky Way is like a Genie's lamp when it comes to Chaos Gods. It powers them, but from this galaxy they can do whatever they want with the rest of the universe.
And that is the crux of Chaos. Never ending war to preserve their own existence.
warp explained, sure... nice try tzeentch
Ah, yes, space hall. In space.
I found Majorkill's long lost twin brother. Austin Butler. Dudes the chill version of major, who starred in dune 2. lmao
The Warp is only tangible in the way that a dream is tangible.
Which is to say, utterly intangible.
The warp has layers, like an onion.
Best way to describe it? *Unholy screeching*
Take a shot after ever time majorkill says warp
Video idea what if the emperor of mankind wanted to be worshipped as a God and had created the esslarcy the imperial cult in order to defeat chaos gods
He does indeed aim to handle and balance the peoples' believe in order to counter chaos.
Mechanicus tells him to fuck off
Mars and Terra blow each other up! Void Dragon fights a weakened Emperor for days!
No Great Crusade, Alpharius dies on Terra
All other Primarchs are corrupted by Chaos
Big E intended to make the Imperial Webway so that the ships of the Imperium won't need to go through the Warp to travel anywhere in the galaxy.
Until Magnus went Space Kool-Aid Man on it.
It would be cool if an old one escaped into the warp during the war in heaven and came back in 40k
I think the describing the warp as twitter is a decent starting point
The warp, a place where feelings shape reality.
A video of the top ten community made wholesome moments would be great
The “warp is timeless” bit seems like a cop out honestly.
Next time you make singlets, make some necron / Votann ones!!
Wow, that is highly considered. Impressive work.
Getting metaphysical, the Warp would be incomprehensible to the mortal mind. It could only be perceived by filtering it through symbols and metaphors. Anything you think you see or hear would just be your brain performing mental gymnastics in a desperate bid to avoid you going insane, instantly, and providing sensory input as symbols you can cope with.
Thank you for your content and the minis (my emperor mini came in last week)
The deep warp, where even the Chaos gods fear to tread.
Great vid as always Majorlill 👍👍
keep up the grind ! great work as usual.
How about a what if video about the primares being a thing from the beginning during the great crusade? How would thus impact the crusade and heresy, especially the EC, BA and TS legions with there now more stable gene seed.
Another interesting (maybe?) warp based video idea -
What if each Chaos God, individually, embraced their positive traits over their negatives? At any point in the timeline.
The Chaos God of Pina Coladas is the mightiest of all, because every time someone watches _Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1,_ or otherwise listens to "Escape (Pina Colada Song)," he gets a massive power boost.
Video idea: 5 insanely powerful psykers you’ve not heard of
Majorkill should cover real-world historic battles in the same format as he does his warhammer 40k videos.
So, basically the Event Horizon jumped into a bad neighborhood without a Gellar Field and Chaos subsequently used it like a fishing lure.
I always imagined the warp as a literal mirror universe to the materium. Same sectors, systems, planets, etc, ... just with a colorful rainbow demonic twist to everything 😂
Immensely appreciate not having 3min of merch advertising at the start of my video 👍
Video idea: Can the Chaos gods have children? What if they do have children?
Edit: another video idea: what if one of the Chaos gods were to permanently die? Or all of them were die?
Superb video as always @majorkill.
Could you make a video dedicated to the Navigators, the major houses, their politics, relation to the overall Imperium and factions,
5:13 Man had to jump into a F'ing submarine and raw dog that shit. Hilarious!
Will you make a video on each legions's best accomplishment/battle/victory? Counting Unification Wars, Crusade and Heresy.
The Warp has a layer that even the Chaos Gods won't access? DEEP WARP CONFIRMED
Straight up. You are solid.
The Warp is the Jungian collective unconscious, but you can physically go there and a few things have been changed around to make it more of a hell dimension.
That said, the reason you can't go the collective unconscious in real life is not because it doesn't exist or isn't a place but because the entire phenomenon of you being conscious parses it out of existance by making sense of your surroundings.
_"Why do you laugh?" Hayt demanded._
_"Because I have teeth and wish I had not," Bijaz managed between giggles_
_"Having no teeth, i could not gnash them."_
-- Dune Messiah.
The collective unconscious, which the Warp is based on because it is comprised of the archetypes and is therefore, in some sense, home to the gods, is like that: you could only experience it by not being conscious but consicousness _is_ your experience.
Warhammer's The Exodite got me intetested in Tau Navy. Please make a video about them, their strategy and battles they fought against Imperium Navy.
Mr Majorkill, as a dude who’s trying to get into Warhammer as a whole, I fuckin love reading and then listening to the same book as an audio book, so could you help a brother out and make a future video of a sort of “How to Read the Warhammer books in Order” or something, cheers!
@majorkill A video on each of the primarch’s favourite food would be cool. Also a video on how each of the pirmarch’s would react to being implanted with the butcher’s nails would be cool as well.
Love the content and look forward to more. If the Space Marine legends had their own anthems, which bands/songs would best describe them ? I think for the White Scars, The Hu - Wolf totem featuring Jacoby Shaddox from Papa Roach is a great song for them. Any ideas for the other Legions ?
" thought it was stupid and annoying" basicly sums up modern day GW
Suddenly the Warp sounds like the Astral realm of Berserk with the Idea of Evil…
Yeah….. this is definitely another one of those things that “I know more now…… but I also know even less”!!! Like isn’t the warp also supposed to be where you go when you die?!? And if so then can’t you just go in, find someone that died, bring them back and bam! Their alive again?!?
In Battlefleet gothic armada 2 Admiral Spire exited warp after 100+ years in time to enter at the fall of Cadia.
No matter what, been with you for years majorkill, a few delays are no problem
The Warp has no distance because there is no space-time within it. Now is not distinct from before or later. Here is not distinct from there or the dark side of an exoplant circling betelgeuse.
The reason it make take more or less time to get from one location to another from the perspective of real space is that, when a ship enters the warp, it takes a chunk of space-time with it, which interacts with the non-space-non-time of the warp.
So to brave the warp is to resist it to an extent in the same way that a ship pushes through the water but the water also pushes back on the ship. The result is space time functions as though it were suggestible but not entirely absent. Providing everythign remains under control and goes smoothly, which is a big if.
Another analogy would be a conventional spacecraft performing a gravity assist: when a spacecraft flies past a gravity well, typically a planet, it picks up a surge of momentum. The Voyager spacecraft was able to get enough of a boost off of Jupiter to leave the solar system. But this momentum doesn't come from nowhere. To the extent that Voyaer's velocity increased, Jupiter's orbitl velocity decreased by an imperceptible amount.
In a similar fasion, the warp applies a whole lot of warp-ness to a spacecraft, but the spacecraft also applies a tiny bit of space-time to the warp.
Can you please show me the source
I am very interested in warp Timeless Specials nature
Warhammer is going through the mud rn, hope we make it through this
I live in WA state. If I want to go to Seattle, I need to travel through the warp. But most people call it I5 Tacoma.
It would actually be kinda cool if the great secret of the chaos gods was that they were followers/servants/pawns of the Really Deep Gods. Or maybe God.
Thanks for this. 😁
I have always compared the warp to the nether in terms of warp travel, meanwhile the webway is like using the nether roof
When I read path to heaven I assumed the deep warp they referenced where chaos doesn't go was just the web way. It was described similarly to how the web way is portrayed
Ok once again asking to make a video on a primarch landing on modern day earth.
Can you please do more videos on the Deep Warp and the throne of Glass?
Like that! ... Dude you are cool. Thank you for making me laugh. Needed it. And your stand is not a setup, you just call it what it is. I really thank you. Get you some cash soon.
Hi Majorkill, I’ve ordered some minis from your shop and it looks great! However I’ve been trying to contact your shop for support as they didn’t include everything in my order. It’s a bit worrying as the mini that wasn’t sent was meant to be a gift for a mate. Could you give a bit of a heads up to your crew shipping the minis?
Is there a lot of info about food in 40k? A food overview from worst to best would be kinda cool.
7: 10
Dark Glass was not a xenos version of the Golden Throne, from what I know it was a relic from the Age of Technology
7:31 WAIT ! is that the "throne of glass" used by the Death Spectres ?
How different do you think the setting would be, and what would be different if slaanesh's birth had been stopped, or they had been killed immediately after being born?
2:50 like female custodes
So, I'm a weird 40k fan; my favorite things are Rogue Traders, and the Eldar, and I usually like Psykers, because I main Wizards in D&D, and most other games with "magic" option, so this was a lot of fun! It's also neat because every verse with FTL usually needs to come up with some negative connotation it provides, aside from just letting us, and our worst ideas, spread across the galaxy. Star Trek went environmental, and eventually revealed that fast warp travel was actually damaging to "space" itself. Star Wars has more "mass shadows" than others, a negative dimension, and hideous monsters that reside within, though with things like the Sith, they rarely need them, but 40k just says "FTL? Why not just surf? Ride the wave of hell, and hope you get where you want to go." Still, it let's my voidships find new locales, and grants my Eldar, Grey Knights, and other psykers their magic mind powers, and is otherwise fun! If I had to lodge a complaint against it, it's that the Warp makes the big bad guys mostly unassailable, in a way I don't like. Obviously, the villain needs to remain threatening, but when they can basically "pop out" anywhere, even though that normally doesn't work, and just bail back into it when things go pear-shaped, and it's basically impossible for the "heroes" to assault them, in turn, making the Chaos leadership invincible, that just gets annoying? The Old Ones were toppled. The C'Tan shattered, and the Eldar Gods slain, but the way the Chaos Gods are depicted, they are basically unkillable, ensconced in fortresses no one can besiege, creating new fragments of themselves to unleash upon reality at no cost, or risk, to themselves, and I guess I just don't like that.
At least we get an instant death within the warp, indie having to live through it
Can we have a video about Cassian Dracos and the Disciples of the Flame?
@Majorkill @7:40 it was definitely NOT an easy ride lmao, they were followed into the portal by demons that literally tore their way through the geller field and started attacking the white scars, to try and stop them from getting back to Terra.
How were Imperial army units treated by each Primarch?
Finalmente, voltamos ao ritmo normal
Video Idea: What of the surviving loyalist primarchs never went missing after the Horus Heresy.
Who explains the Warp? Scholar's Lore has for about an hour or so, but you did a bit better of an overview of what it is and gave a very interesting idea to me of how to fight Chaos with what the Old Ones where supposed to have done to contain it in the reconned lore. You also covered concepts and information that I haven't seen in other lore videos about the Warp and I think you have a better introductory video here if somebody wanted to get into 40k lore. This would definitely be one of the first 10 videos I would have them watch since the Warp is a vital piece of plot to the setting.
The warp is like onions. It has l a y e r s.
I hope space marines get high mobility armor at some point.
I have one wish for 40k. That GW/BL let Ghazkul fight angron. I’d also like if he was the one to finally stop his crazy quick respawn cycle and the murder curse though sheer Wagh energy
This video makes me wonder if the imperium or tau or eldar won. Would they be able to calm the warp with enough time and calm deaths without war or disease.
When i try to explain the warp i just say thats it basically yes
This could have been just a video of screaming with photoshop fire and demon miniatures and I'd have called it a solid lore dive.
The warp is an ocean. Imperial ships are like submarines. Webway is a tunnel
Have you found that your views have gone down after the GW custodes announcement? It seems like other CZcamsrs have trended down
People are so polarized over that shit they'll unsub if they even think someone was for or against it depending on their own views.
warp madness is fun
I was watching this on my tv, my sister came through and said "who's the hot bloke?" sorry, but I had to change the tv back to normal programming. Don't need Majorkill living rent free in my sisters head
Weird to think humanity is the rain that created the oceans
hey majorkill i'd like to know fi there's any lore on the crusaders as in a group that is pretty niche and could be considered as male sororitas, or maybe your take on explaining solar auxillia
