Let's face it. ASUS probably didn't make a lot of profit on the Ally as a whole especially the non extreme version which is selling at Sam's Club for $375. With Best Buy selling so many open box Ally I willing to bet the profit for each unit was slim. Asus may have not went into the hole with the Ally extreme by itself but It's obvious the non-extreme was a failure selling them so cheap within less than a year. I willing to bet they stop production of the non-extreme and it will be replace with Ally-X. I going to guess the Ally-X will be $800 and the Ally extreme will remain at $600. The two version of the Ally. AMD reports their GPU sales are down by a lot (including consoles) so this likely also mean Asus hardware sales are down as well.
I bought my ally with stickdrift on the right stick. I thought about sending it in for repair but didn't want to pay again. This makes me think they would have for sure made me pay for the repair of the defective unit.
I have also bed experience too. My laptop they faked up laptop I had throw my laptop after service center. & My Rog ally they faked up i have to buy parts and fixed myself & etc more.
One customer has a bad experience, and now everyone using it!!! The guy who got supposedly scamed , maybe it was messed up....stop already!!! Other companies have done a lot worse!! Actually all of them!!! Its a great product
Exactly I have the same experience on Sony and Lenovo and I do think that a lot of companies do the same thing its just so happens that a lot of people hate Asus for I don't know what the reason is.

ROG ally design is a Mess! Melting SD card and they need to replace the whole Freaking motherboard just to repair Joystick 😂!
Apple does the same thing. ANY damage supersedes the warranty. It’s an easy cop out and complete bullcrap

I gave up on the Ally (mines is still great 2tb ssd) but my Asus laptop is way better
