Remember HAVOC Pit Boss? Late Spring Bass Fishing With a Texas Rig

- Remember the Havoc Pit Boss? Today I'm fishing doing some late spring bass fishing with a Texas rig and an old favorite, the Pit Boss. At the first location, I notice the water is still stained brown, from recent rain storms. After fan casting open water for a while, without any luck, I focus on fishing the downed trees. This is where I catch my first bass of the day. I catch a 0.5 pound largemouth bass swimming my pit boss near some lay downs. After not getting any more bites, I try another location, and another. I don't manage any more fish, but I do learn that a giant tree has fallen at one of my spots, The Log! The Pit Boss did ok, which is more than I can say for the old tree. #fishing #realistic

The return of the Pit Boss. I'm glad to see you use that bait again. I still have some that I haven't used in quite awhile. Thanks for sharing. KiR!!!
Thanks for another realistic adventure Alex! At least you didn't get skunked! Thanks for sharing!
That was a MONSTER of a tree 🌳 down there Alex 😳 wooooooo weeeeeeeeeee!!!!
At least you beat the skunk. Great video Alex!
Those pit bosses are getting hard to find. Thanks for the video
Tough fishing day. Can be rough out there and such I know for sure as I have trouble catching bluegill for my kitty. Hope to see more.👍
Thumbs up for the new intro!
1 fish is better than no fish. Great video ! stay safe
Yeah Alex we had some nasty storms in San Antonio today, be glad when spring is over and all we have is heat, humidity and garden variety storms 😊 At least you got that nice little bass, beats a skunk for sure!
Nicely done out there on the pit boss brother! Weather has been strange in NJ as well.
Rainy, cold one day, warm the next. Managed a multi yesterday on gulp minnows and a rapala. 3 bluegills, 2 crappie and my first pickerel in couple years.
Well at least you got to catch one bass in this video bro, sucks that big tree was in your way but hey that’s what storms and nasty weather does! Can’t get more realistic than that!
At least they started making them in the powerbait line. They didn't completely axe the pit boss.
Ill take a dink over the skunk any day! Love the pit boss! Caught one literally at my feet while untangling line on a 3ft rock wall off of a dock! KIR!
Great persistence!! KIR
Brown water, cicadas and snakes. That’s Realistic. Holy Cow
I still love your videos! Keep them coming!
You had better luck than me. I went out this morning and got skunk'd. This weather has been awful for fishing and the water temp just can't stay consistently warm. It was warmer LAST month than this month. Plus the weeds are already starting to grow because my lake level is down. It's going to be a rough summer, but that's realistic. Hopefully that downed tree by the Log is a good omen for you when you can fish it again.
Glad you are grinding it out and it paid off with a half pounder. Kir.
I’ve heard great things about the Pit Boss but man I’ve yet to try one but found an amazing deal on the Havoc Slop Craw but haven’t tried them either. I gotta get out and Fish more lol. Stay safe my Friend
Nice catch brother. I love the consistency of your show. Reteaching things like casting before your bank approach. It's something we are all guilty of forgetting but is solid advice that can def produce results. Looks like that storm hit your area well enough as well with that felled tree.
That’s one bait I haven’t used before but since you speak so kindly about it I might have to pick up a pack or two.
I love the Pit Boss too. I have a few packs of them in with some other tackle. The last time I saw them in a store they were in a Berkely bag, not a Havoc one.
👍 for KIR
Hi, Alex! I use the HAVOC baits for traíras (Wolf fish) in Brazil. 🇧🇷 They are great! 🤘🏻
Nice catch, man! KIR!
Thanks!
Sup Alex, got one lol. Do have some open but not ready yet, going Wednesday, love the move casting before get to bank, appreciate you, tyvm tc 🎣
Alex, you were missing your magic scent!
Need more pro cure!
He put me on the pit boss when I was in high school best cheap trailer or craw in general you can buy
Glad to see you back out and you caught one always a good feeling to bring one in went catfishing today had one on the hook came off at the bank half skunked i call it
Better than a full skunk 👍
Thanks for the vids ! KIR
🥉 KIR!
I picked up a single pack of pit boss from Walmart right at the end of basic being sold then a few packs from Ollie's years later. Still have yet to catch anything on one, but I know it'll work one day.
Great video Alex! I just found a pack of unopened pit boss 's in the bottom of my old tackle bag. So I definitely need to give them a try. And with that tree down definitely shows that y'all had some crazy weather. Nice lil bass on that pit boss!! Thank you for always keeping it realistic 🎣
Crazy storms! I am glad its over
@@RealisticFishing I'm glad it's over for y'all too. Stay safe 🎣🎣
I've been using the HAVOC Pit Boss for a long time. Its a great pitching bait. I use a Owner Jungle 5/0 strait shank with a snell knot. Rarely miss a fish. Use to be really reasonably priced plastic. If you leave them on the deck of the boat during the summer or out in the sun they get really soft and the fish have no problem getting hooked. 😉
Ayyyyy. Haven't watched in a while. Good to see Alex is still out there grinding. Haven't gone fishing in a while....this video might change that soon. Keep it realistic.
🥈 Good luck out there
Nice fish Alex
It’s always great seeing your videos my brother and good catch! Thanks for keeping it realistic!
Just started using the pit boss and love it
Good video Alex 🤛
Always good to see you fishing!
When I see your view of the water I don’t imagine bass in that environment. I see a lawn chair, beer cooler and 3 rods in holders waiting for that big slab catfish. I was just thinking it’s been over 20 years since I caught a lunker carp. Of course I’m wrong lol. Look at the bass 👍🏻
Weather has been bad here also bro hoping it's getting better soon my friend Alex 🙏❤
looks like the flood waters went down pretty good
Berkley discontinued the havoc brand. It was a good value choice.
My wife and I went fishing this past Saturday, and it was a bust. Every whete we went was flooded bad. We even waded out onto a boat landing and still nothing.
I imagine the fish aren't biting as well because of the weather we have had and the water being way up and now its dropping back down again.
The Pit Boss and Baby Brush Hog are your lures. Besides the gulp minnow
Muddy water bright lure , clear water darker colors.
Butterbean!
Thats him!
Howdy Alex, looked comfortable while fishing. Was the tree at skeletor park?
Why did the snake cross the lake? To get to the other side. And there's the answer to the long-standing question, "How's the snake hanging?"
What's the difference between the Havoc pitboss and the new Berkley? Sounds like everyone prefers the Havoc, but idk the difference...
Ssssnek!
😅

🏆 Fast enough for first!
@@RealisticFishing Rough day on the water for you. At least there was one bass willing to strike. Thanks for the great videos.
Dude, what the hell is with your lakes lately. NOT THE LOG! As always, keeping it realistic
