Love the idea of the glasses pov. Especially for reversing/manoeuvres to see what you are looking at whilst performing them
Likewise .. only thing I hate are the blurred edges
I think the glasses are a great addition when doing maneuvers to these only phone vlogs
I agree, it is nice to see POV footage
Surprisingly good quality too.
I agree.
As an electrician I've had to replace and relocate loads of lampposts due to hgvs taking them out. I've was replacing one at a Wickes and a lorry was trying to come in but we were in the way, I said "sorry mate we're here replacing this cause you lot keep taking out the lamppost" he chucked me the keys and said " here you fkin do it" 😆
Great shots with the glasses makes a change for us to see what you see. Keep up the great vlogs big man
Awesome vid as always luck n the glasses cam view for manoeuvres was absolutely awesome and should a great insight to what u as a drive actually see so would be an awesome addition to phone only vids
Another cracking video Luke! Thanks for that, yup like glasses cam for manoeuvres! Carvery shot made me hungry!! Hope you took a doggy bag home for Lando! Keep up the good work and keep safe! 🙂👍🚛
Love video, as I always do. Lovely to see your kids and wife
Great vlog Luke 👍🏻👍🏻
Glasses are great, enjoyed the personal touch towards the end too. Wouldn't mind some car content. Stay safe out on those roads Luke!
You do your ratchets on the offside, hooks on the nearside. Have you always done it that way? I always did it the other way around so that if they ever needed adjusting (particularly with bulk bags that settle), I was on the side away from passing traffic if I was in a lay-by when I was adjusting them.
He does the ratchets on the nearside, same as you (and me) and has previously given your explanation on a previous video. The editing made it look the other way around, but if you look at 1:20 his camera is looking down the trailer from the headboard, and he is removing the strap from the hook end on the offside.
Great video as always luke 👍
Glad you enjoyed it :)
love this Luke
I liked the glasses footage 👌🏻 and also look forward to some
Trailer footage when you get the 360 camera keep up the good content mate 👌🏻
Date night... but we were invited to... makes me feel special lol 😂
I don’t think he knew you guys were invited 😂
@@mrslukecinahgv5171 🤣🤣🤣 he obviously thought he was special or something... nothing new there 🤣
@@mrslukecinahgv5171😂😂😂😂 love it ❤
Great video mate. On the fence about the glasses.
I had an idea while watching this video maybe do a day in the life of Harry and Sons a behind the scenes of what goes on in office ect. It's great to see the other side of your trucking life because it's so important to find that balance as truck drivers. Stay safe keep on trucking mate 👍
Headcam is like POV better on landscape as like looking through a letterbox side ways 😂
Great video as usual Luke. Regarding the POV view, it's good in smallish bursts, ie, what you just did, as after a long spell, I feel all at sea on a rough ride😅😅.
I like the little bit of POV. Not too much but breaks up using the phone. 360 on the cab roof is a suggestion. Sometimes when you say something is just over there it's out of camera view.
Insta 360 on the trailer, great idea 👌
It's a yes for the glasses 🤓
The Ray Ban shots were ok, but a bit to much movement to be sustainable really.
Nice Vlog Luke. As you say the moving head side to side is a bit off putting but it is interesting to see your view out the mirrors
Nice to see a mid week slot
I do like the glasses and think it will be great if you use them. Loving your content!!!!!
I liked the added feature of the glasses footage. For short clips, like a reverse manoeuvre, it's a great bonus.
Kids were happy to see you.
Wee tip luke. If no internet anywhere got to network settings on phone and drop to 3g or 2g. Most iaolated places havent got the luxury of 4g or 5g. Works a treat up north in the highlands but only if not to remote. A signal sometimes is a luxury.
Another great video.
Hi Luke. First off. The overall colour is great and well balanced. . The glasses as you were reversing maybe ok for some people although I found it a bit too much for me. As an Ex Europe truck driver it was nice to see your professional reverse in checking your mirrors all the time ,
Mind you I thought you get extra point for the customers 😂😂😂. I would prefer to see your driving and the roads as well please
I like the way you drive. I see many things in your drives to tell me that had I still been running 3 trucks I would offer you a job, I am now completely out of the haulage industry. Wish You Well .
camera glasses motion sickness mate 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
Phil I buddy I hope you and family are well.brilliant vlog nice to see it is not raining your truck should be keeping cleaner now the better weather is coming.just a quick wipe to clean the dust off it soon.take care nice to see your happy face buddy Phil.😂
Hi luke enjoyed the video keep them coming mate
Nice to see you at Bowland Stone ,Henbury . I did thing you were going there so I let you go as not in a rush only doing local
I think I did one job for Prompt at Bristol. They seemed amazed that an experienced driver would be working through an agency. But I told them it was my own agency.
Lol.
Just a note, I was always told to cross the rear of the load with straps or ropes to prevent the load "walking' back or swaying. I've noticed that the drivers don't seem to do it so much nowadays.
An old Scottish mate of mine, now long gone, showed me how to rope and sheet and it was always the case to cross the rear of the load to prevent the sheets billowing like a parachute while going down the road. It's important not to let anything flap about in the slipstream when your travelling along.
Your 360 cam on a mount behind you will be great.
Me and val have a 360 each. They are easy to use as you don't have to frame what you are recording.
what phone app do you use to edit your videos
I think the glasses would be perfect when your filming out of the truck
Enjoyed the video chap..I have made a few 360 videos and when i edited on the phone app ,then exported to my laptop desk top i've then had to re-inject the spactial metadata so when you upload onto CZcams people can use there finger to watch the 360 camera from which ever angle they want..Also you loose some of the HD quality and brightness...I've done a couple Luke and its a case of trial and error .. Any hastle just ask...not that im any expert ...Cheers
the glasses are a great addition on any video when doing the reversing maneuvers it shows how limited the view can be
Peel Cathedral delivery with 360 cam (use your finger ) is one im on about
Keep it up luke
see you in eastliegh on monday just after you crossed aldi mini roundabout to liegh road. flashed you dont think you saw.
Mate do you know how tight they bays are to tip In up henbury! I struggle in an 8 wheeler tridem 😂😂 it’s one place I fecking hate going! The guys there are so dam ignorant!
Ps Jem warren uses a insta 360 so she may have some tips.. 🤙🏻
Looks good value at carvery
6 years is a long time, a lot could have changed.
The POV is nice and the head movement is sure recognize mirrors and camera to check.
Glasses not for a youtube video, but great quality for some TikTok stuff or shorts. And big thumbs up for dropping cinematic mode.
Good old Somerlap pallet maker to the manufacturers in North Somerset
FSC Trucking mounts a camera on his trailer, usually pretty good footage but go and have a look and make your own mind up.
Rayban camera yes 👍
360 camera on the trailer for footage as not a lot of vloggers have trailer cam.
Where's the Sunglasses from?
Oh oh 😂
On the back of your cab now and again.
just a tad to quick movement but remember head movements in tricky places
A word of warning for drivers collecting the loaded ro ro trailers from the ports like Dartford in kent. The ferry discharges the loaded trailers but they didn't remove the restraining straps and drivers thought they could get away with picking the trailers and loads up without restrapping the loads down.
One of my drivers had the load move forward into the back of the cab because the straps had broken. He'd used the same straps off a Dartford ferry ro ro trailer.
I had to go and sort out the incident and he didn't realise that they were sub standard strap and stretchers.
These ro ro ferry straps do not have to hold the load of a vehicle that's doing 60mph during sharp braking.
I managed to stop an agricultural telehandler to help push the load back onto the trailer once we'd got the unit out from under it. I think they scrapped the unit after as it was an old Leyland Roadtrain which they were going to take off the road anyway.
So at least nobody got hurt, just cost me £20 to the farmer for his help (1998).
Just a thought.
Great video, much as I remember when I used to do the job.
I think the ray bans would suit your CZcams shorts \ TikTok vids more, especially with the sizing ratios. Excellent quality though:)
Kevs already told you he's not up for it. That's a heterosexual beard!
On top of the cab. Boshh
The glasses view was OK, but in that vertical format and the swift movement I think it's only suitable for short duration maneuvers. I'm old though, and an active hater of vertically filmed video. :D
No producer windup in this video at the end, HAHA. Pity the glasses aren't 16:9, but it was good to see what you see.
If you like a cavery then the stockyard does a cracking one. Its in Rotherham just off the m18 if you’re parking up in the area
Mount the 360 carm when you doing a tricky reverse maybe handy to see how you do it maybe a possibility
👍
👍🏻👍🏻
good vid on channel keep up the good vids on chjannel thanks lee
Hi Luke just saw u in Kidderminster Worcestershire road
😎👍
Could we see more of the driving thanks
chuck the 360 away
If i remember correctly anyone watching 360 footage on a tv will have a strange view as they won't be able to turn it like if watched on a phone or tablet.
Nice for people to see what you see when reversing.
Your referencing, if I uploaded as a 360 video. Most likely what will happen is in normal Vlogs I will select what I want to be seen.
Yes your correct, alot just upload as a 360, if your not doing that then all should be fine, I look forward to seeing it either way.
I think Rayban Cam would be cool for long drives, not a fan in the yard...That said I love your videos and watch whatever you post.
Is JENKO all good no VLODG in the last two weeks 👍👍
He’s looking after clair i think
Heard Jenko's changed jobs. Back at TDW so can't vlog
He left a job before told he could not VLODG .Hope he and MRS J ARE OK.
@@rayhitchman4741He looked well pissed off in his last vlog, so doesn’t come as a surprise he left. Hopefully he can keep vlogging, he puts out good content.
Toby.... come on mate, that's horrendous
No pov for me thanks lol.hows the truck
Why didnt you invite john o, i thought you 2 were an item😂😂
Dump the glasses please Luke!
Lucke c don't like the pov glasses recording to my h head movement
No mate Thank you.
lina trucker well known in Europe .
1st
Sorry bud , too much movement on the camera.
Hi luke im a class 2 driver about 6 year now . im constantly getting struck waiting and queuing and i actually cant tolerate it anymore .how do you keep so calm while under pressure
Did you enjoy your dinner ? .
Yes was lovely mate :)
Ray ban footage isn’t great too fast moving
Wouldn't you rather go for A Toby Carvey with your family and children? Rather than being a tramp in a truck😊
You’re to nice Luke get out and ask them what’s going on hurry them along otherwise some will undoubtedly take the pss
Great video BTW mate I’m just at the half way stage now what a beautiful family you have Luke your girls are the image of you ❤
Surely date night is minus the rugrats
I think its time you learnt how to interact with other drivers. That guy wanted to chat when he offered to help you strap the load. You never know when you'll need help yourself.
I chat to drivers all the time. Loads of people talk to me every day and at that particular moment in time, I just wanted to be left alone which I think is perfectly reasonable for me to want.
Great vlog, but not a fan of the rayban video tbh. The movement is to fast and makes me slightly uncomfortable.
Not keen on the glasses luke
Awesome video buddy from Alan in Lowestoft buddy 👍 😊
Love you videos maybe put the 360 on the wing mirror
21:55 don’t like this view, movements gets us dizzy like sea sick
Definitely need your loaf cut and maybe a bit of gray away. The glasses make me feel dizzy when moving your head to navigate out of the yard, i know other CZcamsrs who wear the glasses and I don't have the dizzy issue as they are not moving their noggin to look in mirrors while reversing. I think they would be good if just driving on the roads as the would give a different perspective of the view than the dash-cam look.
POV is not for me thanks😊
You could have walked over and talked to him/her.
Sorry mate at what point in the video are a
You referencing?
the other truck driver whom you accidentally overtook and who consequently had to wait for you in the yard@@lukecinahgv
About 5% driving footage Luke, not really what I subscribe for mate.
Driving videos are weekend videos. This is a midweek release which is extra content.
Sorry Luke didn’t like it. Made me dizzy
The glasses footage ain’t the best given me motion sickness lol
Love the idea of the glasses pov. Especially for reversing/manoeuvres to see what you are looking at whilst performing them
