  • It's the latest folding-hardtop on the market offering the combination of a sturdy metal roof with the fun of a convertible. In this video, Graham from the Office finds out whether this new coupe-cabriolet, which just happens to have the most complicated folding roof we've ever seen, suffers the same flaws as those that have been before. Just bought mine, never driven in a big car but after watching some recap videos on driving bigger cars it was honestly no different than driving a corsa. I have never parked so well in my life because the parking sensors all around the car help lots (I have been a pretty lazy Parker in my old small car). The boot is actually really sizeable compared to the soft tops (vw bug) that I looked at for a similar price. For over £20000 you can be picky to be fair, for £3995 I couldn’t be more thrilled. The stereo is realllly loud which I love, the overall look is a head Turner especially for a young woman. It sits nicely on the road and I can imagine it’s very comfortable with long distance driving and cruise control. It’s got all the bells and whistles and I feel so lucky I found one in such good nick compared to the other convertibles I looked at with holes in the roof, not fab for British weather. Overall for the price I am super pleased it feels really luxe like I’m an old rich man in the Riviera, I wouldn’t want it any other way

I bought it’s predecessor a couple of weeks ago - €900 for and ‘07 and another €100 for a service. 60,000 miles only so the ‘ladies that lunch’ have done me a great favour by absorbing a lot of depreciation for my benefit.
I find it infinitely more comfortable and relaxing to drive than the A6 Avant I was driving before it. The most relaxed drive I’ve ever had with no need to hurry to get there.
I bought and ‘06 a couple of days ago and, after doing a few little jobs on it, I’ll sell it on to someone in the queue to buy the one they’ve seen me driving.
It’s possibly the only one I can put my guitar into the boot and still fold the roof.
I wasn’t expecting much and, while it’s very different the the mark 1 mx5 I had a long time ago, in its own way, I like it as much.
I’ve driven about 1000 miles in the fortnight and have become a little obsessed with the litre per 100km reading, challenging myself to get it down. Average is 6.7 and best - over a 128km trip, largely on country roads, 6.0 - 47mpg.
Hope I feel the same in a couple of years time.

PS - the mark 2 has usable cup holders in front of the gear lever and also each side pocket can be used as such.
The glovebox can easily take a two litre water bottle and may a hundred pairs of gloves too.

I recent picked up a 2010 Megane CC, the stereo in it is a lot more simplistic and there's no in-built satnav. Honstly? Massive improvement. I just use my phone for GPS, (the built-in bluetooth means I can use my phone for music, too) and the reduction in bulk on the center console means that the cup holders actually work as intended - amazing how that pans out!

Anyone know if a backward facing child seat will fit in the back seat if the front seat is pulled all the way forward?

    • @daveyboiyeah
      @daveyboiyeah Před 9 lety +1

It's illegal to fit a backward facing car seat in the rear. The seat won't fit simply because it's made for the front seat. It's also dangerous to do so. It'll fit in the front of the Mégane. However you can fit a forward facing child seat in the rear by using the Isofix anchors which is also present in the front passenger seat. I hope I helped you out and don't try risking fitting your backwards child seat in the rear, it's not worth it and you could get fined and may put a risk on your child.

What's wrong with people these days?
As for the boot not having much space when the all hood is down?
    Well...lol. It's a convertible!!!
Where did expect the roof to go mate? Under the car?
And the (integrated Tom Tom) so what that's not a touch screen
    you apple freak!!
Most cars these days don't even come with a Tom Tom, only the top range ones do.
