My Gidgit loves it when I sing to him, his eyes get heavy and his body relaxes and he just stares into my eyes. I'm using your tips to train him to trust my hands, and we've come a long way in the last 4 months! When he came to live with me, in December, he would aggressively come at me and try to get to my hands and draw blood. There was something about me, he didn't like, he definitely didn't like my hands! Gidget loved my husband right off the bat, but he didn't trust me, even a little. I'm excited to say I'm his favorite now😂 He's becoming more trusting and gets on my shoulders on his own accord. I still have to try and coax him to come to my hand and just in general, to come to my shoulder. I feel our bond is growing and he'll even mimic what I'm saying and be playful.
In his previous home, my friend said Gigi didn't like her young son, I think he teased my Gigi-Goo.
I'm happy to say, Gigi's feathers have grown back in around his neck (when he came to me, he was missing feathers on the back of neck😢), his colors are brighter, because I use your recipes, and overall he's a happy Lil baby. Thank you for your time and tips, it helps encourage me to keep growing and learning with him.❤ Thank you to Mia, too!
I think music and singing is really effective in birds but there’s not enough studies done. The right kind of music is definitely relaxing for them and just like with my Mia singing to her has been very bonding for us❤️ she loves it🥰. It’s so lovely to hear that my videos and tips have helped you so much with your BIRB! @PoodlesandParrots oh yes, of course. I had my highlight yesterday when I came home and relaxed on the couch. Keeko and our new Baby Bibo were both sitting on my chest and enjoying a home-baked cookie and nutriberrie and quinoa/brown rice noodles. Their dinner. Then Bibo sat under my chin and Keeko on my shoulder really close and preening Bibo. Bibo was on me the first time after over 5 weeks of getting him. So cute so 2.

In the coming days I will bring my little yellow sided turquoise conure home. I loved this type of conures because of Mia (she's so sweet❤)
Yes Mia is very sweet but please keep in mind that every Conure is different and doesn’t mean that other turquoise conures will be just like Mia but I hope these tips help you!

I have two lovebirds. One of them is very skittish and wants nothing to do with me. The only way I can get close is by not looking at him / her idk yet or turning my back with no sudden movement otherwise the bird in question flies away and breathes rapidly. I’m scared it gets a heart attack at times so I leave my room as it’s where they are, cage free. The other one will step up to me and is friendly but a bit scared too but far more approachable. I will try harder with my approach. Read in my room ect be more present I suppose to make that little nugget understand I’m not a threat. Both eat Tops pellets and organic grains and seeds mix ( Birdtricks / Blueberry’s organic seed mix ) with veggies. I converted them quite easily at least that.
A slow paced approach will be better especially if your birds are skittish. The good thing is also one of them step ups and is friendly with you which can be a role model for the other to show them you aren’t something to fear but it’ll take time. Try the tips in this video but as I mentioned every bird is an individual they have their own personality and they may not want to ever be held like an ice cream. The diet change is really good! That’s always a good first step😀
I am considering getting a green cheek conure. There is a bird expo coming to my area in May. I have never been to one. Would that be a good place to buy a bird? BTW I love your videos and of course Mia!!
What bird expo?! I’m not sure they “sell” birds at expos… but I’ve heard there are rescues that may have birds for adoption, which is a great option! And thank you! Mia also said thank you 🥹🥹❤️✨
