    I'm 25 years old and from southern Assam. For almost whole my life I've seen poor roads in my area. The distance from my hometown to a nearby big city is around 50kms. Before 2014 it took around 2.5-3 hours to reach there. But after 2014 work has been so fast that all the poor roads has been repaired and also new roads have been made. Now it only takes 1.5 hours from my hometown to the city. Such transformation that can be seen by the own eye reiterates our support for the government.

      Bhai why implement American roads. American roads are not meant to accommodate people, it's to accommodate cars and trucks. Having a 6 lane road in front of your house just segregates the community even more. What we need is American style highways and expressways. But in residential areas Belgian model must be implemented. Narrow roads, only walking or cycling is allowed and building micro communities.

    When it comes to road maintainability and work, no one beats BRO. I live in Uttarakhand, and the state highway around my area is super smooth. It's been like that since 2013. We get a lot of rainfall, landslides, etc., but BRO is always there to repair the road as soon as possible. My favorite highways are Uttarkashi - Gangotri and one in Rudraprayag. There are some bad patches in between, but overall, the road is smooth and with a scenic view. Past some years, the roads improved manyfold. One of the biggest reasons for this is China, of course. Northeast roads will be improved in coming future too.
    Village roads are not as good as they should be. Our village road turned into pakka road in 2020, but within four months, the road became kaccha again. And there's one village behind a mountain. That village got full road connectivity in 2020, but that road is still kachha road. Those people really had to face a lot of problems without roads. People would climb the mountain, cross the oak forest, and then to the nearest market. That's more than 10 km easily.

    11:18 I am from Nagpur hometown of our MP Nitin Gadkari.
    Nitin Gadkari first time built cement concrete (cc) roads back in back in 2000 when he was transport minister of Maharashtra. The major CC road built by him was India's first 'proper' expressway Mumbai-Pune expreway. He built few cc roads in Nagpur as well which are still after 22 years potholes free.
    1. Currently all satalite villages/cities in 150km radius of Nagpur are being connected with the 4 lane butamin NHAI hiways.
    2. Every road including major roads and small gallis/lanes are being converted to CC roads making Nagpur's city roads potholes free. (I've video on my channel of Nagpur cc roads).
    3. Multiple state & NHAI CC Expressways -
    State Expressways => Ngp-Mumbai, Ngp-SambhajiNagar-Pune, Ngp-Goa, Ngp-Goindia-Durg (State+NHAI)
    NHAI Expressways => Ngp-Hyd-Bengaluru, Ngp-Vijayawada, Ngp-Raipur, Ngp-Indore, and few more in planning.
    Apart from roads, other infrastructural projects which he is doing as Ngp MP are:
    Ngp Metro, India's first broad Gauge metro, multi modal transport hub, Vande Bharat (one recently started Ngp-Durg), tourism like futala fountain, India's biggest zoo, tiger jungle tourism, Nagnadi rejuvenation project similar to Gujarat's Sabarmati riverfront, MIHAN, ect.

Most issues on road infrastructure are mostly in cities not because of governments inefficiency alone but also public negligence. I myself have seen ppl in cities digging up the roads for their pipelines and not fixing the damage properly later, littering etc. The new upcoming toll system will be a game changer in India for seamless travel experience. Only thing these highways need is decent and well maintained Highway food retail.

Even tho its millions of people, due to it being wide and stuff, it has almost no cars like 10 vehicles every 15+ kmso traffic is very kow so u can drive very fast too
