I would’ve given a go ahead just on the basis of throwing off the shackles of British raj - but the renovations make so much more economic sense as well . In fact why the previous governments waited 75 years for this - one should deeply question . Where did the tax payers funds go all these decades? What did congress do with all our money ? Misuse of taxpayers funds on Bofors and many other scandals? Why didn’t these “objecting Indian voices “ stand up and question them?
These cong led coalition governments have been so busy power grabbing and dividing the Indian people for vote bank Politics - that NOBODY thought of the nation . History will look at these buildings designed by Indians, constructed by Indians , created for Indians and India’s new ascendancy.

Traditional Indian architecture should be reintroduced. India has so many artisans and craftsmen who are skilled at hand tools and creating traditional designs, they will get employed and it would be of great help to these artisans/craftsmen and laborers who live below the poverty line unlike in the developed countries where hand using labor gets paid the highest.

But then people will start arguing that they have tried to glorify Hinduism through this architecture, the reason I am saying this is because India's indigenous genius in architecture can be seen at Meenakshi temple, Vithhala temple, Hampi, Sun temple ( they are Hindu temples) & if they are going to make it like Red Fort or Taj Mahal , it will still give a sense of Persian & Arabic elements or let's say Indo- Islamic architecture.
I don't want fusion, i want Purely ancient Indian Architecture like Takshshila University, Hawa Mahal, Ellora Caves temples... like that

Few details & correction, if I may. One of the main reason for central vista is Security, reduce spending & traffic.
    1. Many of the govt offices run from rented buildings which are spread out all throughout the capital city. Central vista will consolidate those offices in one area, thereby reducing the spending & ease the traffic flow.
    2. Contrary to few comments, all relevant details (barring the ones relating to security, of course) of the project, including the estimated cost & schedule has been made public. An effort has to be made by the reader to obtain the details from the govt website.
    3. Most importantly, Central Vista project is gaining popularity as more details have being made public. It's mainly the INC (the congress party) and its few allies who are not happy, which was expected. Infact the INC had approached the courts in an effort to stop the construction but the court did not agree with INC and gave unanimous consent for the continuation of the project.

I know a guy who works at the Agricultural Department in Haryana. They've been trying really hard to wean the farmers off this practice, with varying levels of success. Even Agricultural Research Institute recently created some kind of concoction that when sprayed on farms can breakdown the stubble and turn it into fertilizer. There is so much richness in India. It takes a good eye to find it. Thank you for doing so and doing it very well.

There are similarities but there's no proof that the temple was the inspiration behind parliament building. Just because it looks similar doesn't mean that its inspired from that. Plz show some proof.

India has 1.3 Billion people yet only 545 member of parliament, even then it's hard to fit them in the Parliament. After this project, the number of MPs with respect to population will increase.

That just means states that have performed miserably on population policy like UP, Bihar, etc will get more seats and states that did a good job like Kerala will suffer and have even less representation.

@@amoghusthe supreme court froze all reallocation of seats in 1971 for this exact reasons. Whenever you redistribute seats it just means you give more seats to places which have more people. That's why already UP state election is so important to the national elections. States which have contributed towards population control will just get less representation, while others which didn't will get more representation.
