I've lived and worked in the US over 20 years, in Sydney, Australia for 4 years, and Hong Kong for 6 years. For those who don't know: Trader Joe's private labels many brands as Trader Joe's products. They partner with brands that a board of taste testers has tasted and scored and pick one brand for each snack/product. The brand they partner with also signs an NDA in the process so there is speculation as to what brand is what but no confirmation.

    Hello! Friendly little Spanish lesson~🥸
    The pepper called Jalapeño, originates from Mexico, and in Mexico, although the alphabet letters are almost the same (except for an extra letter) the sound of the letters are pretty different. That being said, the letter J (jota) makes a H sound (ho-ta)😇 if anyone cares anyway😅

    • @Serai3
      @Serai3 Před 2 měsíci +4

      But it's not an "h" sound. It's different from "h" because the tongue is pressed against the roof of the mouth. I know to a Spanish speaker it feels natural and thus not noticeable, but believe me, it's a different sound.

Mr. Joe and Mrs. Alice Coloumbe were my clients and lifetime members of the opera board. I have fond memories of them...they were very 'homey' people and I was friendly with two of their three children. To this day, I have clothing they gave me to wear to the galas. Trader Joe's is great for getting a lot of healthier foods as well. They use less artificial preservatives, and often have a great produce section and a rotating selection of premade salads. A lot of their frozen meals are really tasty, and often healthier than brands that are labeled as healthy. Trader Joe's is TOP TIER. Even some Americans don't know the secret ... enjoy kids! They need to try the cassava chips, plantain chips, cheese crunchies and sparkling drinks.

    I love that you’re enjoying our snacks but you have to understand that some of these you have to pair up with a beer or with a soda of some kind to really enjoy to the fullest

    Trader Joe's is owned by Aldi Nord. Aldi Süd is a now legally different company. The UK has Aldi Süd. The USA's Aldi chain is Aldi Süd, so we have both in a way. I've always assumed that Aldi Nord put their items into the store in the past, but I don't know for sure. (edit for more accuracy)

      I’m not really sure where people are getting this from. Trader Joe’s was created by an American man named Joe in California and was sold to Aldi in the late 70’s. It’s a subsidiary of Aldi.

      @@NsTheNameTrader Joe’s is an independently run subsidiary of Aldi Nord. Aldi Sud is a separate company that has ‘Aldi’ stores in a few US locations.

      They have similar products. But I have yet to see the same thing in both stores. Without a doubt, tritter Joe's has more exciting items. But it's farther from me so I only get to go every now and then
