Hi Nikki, pro security tip- once you've locked your doors at night, take your seatbelts and wrap them around the door handles, then fasten them in like you were using them. An extra layer of security always helps, especially when it's free!
It seems like someone mentions this to every one of the Van Life CZcamsrs, on nearly every video. Sometimes more than once.
Or just buy a pistol and a box of ammo....that's stops it permanently
Good security advice can't be repeated too often. Particularly when applied to a lone female travelling across the country.
Also put the onions in the fridge before you cut them, it helps.

The last time I was in Melius was for the solar eclipse in 2017. That was a particularly good place to view it: we had over 2 minutes of totality and the crowd that showed up was wonderful. There were two astronomers from a Hawaiian observatory, a whole bunch of science teachers, and a very respectful crowd.
Bend can be most wonderful. It certainly looks like the farmer's market was a good one.

Actually, since you were at Smith Rock ... there is a dynamite bakery in Sisters!!!! Pretty much just sweets, but great for stocking up and their bread is unreal.
My mom passed away a few years ago but she LOVED a farmer's market --- Bend was awesome and the one in Salem is great too --- she loved dogs and always called it "The Dog Show Market" because everyone brought their dogs and she was in dog-heaven --- so when you asked Kamper if he wanted to "go to the market," I smiled.

I had a looooooong exhuasting day of trucking in Texas and this was so nice to watch for my wind-down time!! And I concur, my general happiness level is dramatically higher when I live near the water. Once I've had my fill of living on the road, I'm definitely going to live back by Lake Michigan again!! I love the two showers you have in your van. Neither of them take up a ton of space, and give you the option of showering inside or outside! Definitely keeping that in mind for a future van build 😊

Detroit Lake. And all that fire damage in the hills. Very very popular lake on the weekends. A quick glimpse of Mt Bachelor, Broken Top, the Three Sisters, Mt Washington, Black Butte, Three Finger Jack, and Mt Jefferson. Central Cascades, beautiful backpacking, hiking, skiing and more. Great idea on the bug netting Nikki. And Camper seems to be getting cuter every day!

So funny that scene when slicing onions wearing goggles.. lol brings back memories of when I used to cry when chopping/ dicing up onions.🙂 I’ve got used to it now though so I don’t cry anymore😂. And you're right, Nikki, the West Coast is the best place to be right now, this
time of year. If it's the coast, desert (maybe too hot), canyons, lakes/rivers/
swimming holes or mtns, Mother Nature really outdid herself!.

I don't know what it was. One time my dogs and I walked through something and the dogs got a rash on their legs bellies and I got it on my lower legs. The vet and my doctor both prescribed the same thing. There was an ointment and both said to take Benadryl. The dosage for dogs and people for Benadryl is the same. It cleared up in a few days, but it was itchy that first day for sure. I have tried to stick to the trails ever since.
Cutest thing ever is Camper snoring. My GSD snors too, after a long tough day hiking and playing

I love the views you provide. I did a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail and seeing the vistas you provide convince me to attempt a Pacific Coast Trail trip. I also like your set up and puppy. Sometimes you see something and say to yourself, why aren’t I living my life that way?
