I know money is tight for so many Americans, but of those who are well off would donate a small % of their wealth. Imagine how many rescue animals would be taken care of.
Camper was left to starve to death (or, more likely, die of thirst) out in the desert - then along came Nikki and he has the absolute best life a dog could ever imagine. He is a blessed pooch - and has inspired Nikki to do this important work with rescue organizations! It is all kismet! Did she say 500,000 strays in the 4-corners area??!!!! OMG!!! That's awful! No way that there is that many good homes for all these dogs. I hope they get tons of donations and can expand their spay and neuter efforts.

Nikki, thank you for what you and Camper do. I am so impressed with the work that Underdog does - for a group of reactive dogs, they have done wonders. Our three-legged Beagle-Cavalier mix died this year at the age of 16! Ellie was adopted from a shelter and was the sweetest and healthiest dog we’ve ever had. You are doing a wonderful thing for the dog and yourself by adopting from a shelter.

To anyone thinking of rescuing an abandoned animal just do it , it isn't always smooth sailing but boy it's rewarding seeing your new pet respond.

I adopted my kitty cat about nine years ago. My first time I saw her was on the Internet and she was black and no one wanted to adopt her. I had my other cat at the time before he passed away from lymphoma and I’m glad I adopted her because now I saved her because they were going to put her down because no one wanted her. I’ve also Adopted a dog but but then my son was allergic to it, so we found it a great home. They had it until she passed away. I wish I can rescue more because I would I’m an animal lover you’re doing a wonderful thing. Thank you so much. Keep up the great work and stay safe.
Something special goin on there Nikki when a random dog shows up out in the no where's. The instant bond got me tearing up and the neglected n abused at the shelter didn't help. I cannot have a dog because do not have the time to give they deserve. Wish more people would consider the dog's before allowing rampant breeding and unfit ownership of such wonderful creatures.

I'm with you on buying land and adopting dogs. I learned that many counties or cities limit how many dogs and the vets prices are to the moon. Not only do you need to check the property, make sure to check the laws so you can enjoy your pups in peace and fun. Also check vet prices in the areas you like. Pack your pups and head out for fun. Great job Nikki w/all your donations and helping others. You're amazing!
I couldn't get help from Camper Cares when my dog needed treatment because my pleads were ignored but I'm so happy to see others get help.
