This commentary really makes the video far more enjoyable. Sharky has great energy and a nice voice. Excellent play from both players
I’m glad you enjoyed the commentary
@@ITZsharky1 You the real MVP. I just want to reiterate that you are the best commentator in the past 5 years in my opinion, no disrespect to others before you. Hope you will be there at the final commentating. Keep doing what you're doing.
Sharky is by far the most hyped commentator. Vandweller on the other hand is the polar opposite. All he talks about is the damn stream and has even been known to put down players and even the audience... Vandweller should never commentate ever again tbh.
Sharky, hope you become the main host bro! I think whats most exciting is that because he knows what he's doing so well, he's able to comment on calls so far in advance that its so fun to track and anticipate. Absolutely amazing commentator :D
Sharky is da man. I do enjoy when he gets hella hyped up. Nice work sharky. 👏👍
@@FrotLopOfficial I couldn't agree more. I'd be just fine never hearing vandweller utter another sound
Geez Fractal is insane with that survival skills, I thought Andy had that game but damn.
He is astonishing people by doing surreal survivals...!
@@Yubin_Lee_Doramelin I agree!! several times I really thought it was over but he hung in there! It was awesome!
@@piplup10203854 Absolutely!
Ever since 29th level and after is in play, no lead is safe as long as you can survive.
im glad it was live we got to see how nerves play role in the matches and they really are the real deal
Fractal will send andy to the shadow realm to join his brother dog.
😔😔
Fractal is such a boss lol.
Just want to give another shout out to these fine Tetris Finalists Andy and Fractal. What stellar play. And to Sharky for his spectacular commentary that really had me on the edge of my seat with goosebumps. He is without a doubt just awesome calling these matches.
Fractal is invincible.
Why there's no more stats (like Tetris rate, drought, point difference) in the screen like there used to be? 😔 I miss them!
Those aren't present in the actual game. It's up to the tournament organiser to specifically get that stuff set up.
@@SunnyDispsition so why aren't the organizers setting these up anymore? 😬
@@lleohaw it’s not that the organizers aren’t setting them up anymore. In this particular case we didn’t have access to those advance stats in this qualifier. We had to make do with what we had
@@ITZsharky1 thanks for clarifying! Keep up the nice work 😃
My goodness... This is one of the legendary matches I've ever seen, especially for amazing, intelligent, surreal burns!!
Nah man legendary match is JD vs Koryan as well as JD vs Green Tea. Doesnt get better than that!
The level of Tetris has grown so much in such a short period of time the amount of people who just can get pass the old kill level is insane I'm glad to see this game growing even decades after it's release
Awesome commentary. Did Andy have a sticky controller or was he just on an off day? Sharky is spot on with his calls. His skills at watching both screen simultaneously, while still commenting on both players, is next level! Definitely brings the energy up for all us watching at home.
"off day"
At some point, this excuse has to stop...
Fractal is just fucking better these days.
@@Alvin_Vivian fractal is unbeatable but andy did so much better in other games
@@Alvin_Vivian "off day" in reference to his mis-drops (long bar hangs on the right side multiple times throughout the game)... looked like a controller issue to me... I was not making reference to who is the better player... I get it, Fractal can play till level 1000 and no one else can right now. No one is disputing that so not sure why you feel the need to drop cuss words into the comments? little immature bro.
@@TheHungryHobo Thats correct! he actually had controller issues and was trying to fix them before the match!
@@Alvin_Vivian Someone who was there said he had controller issues. Maybe you should stop acting like you're 12
I can't wait for the final. The level that these players have demonstrated might make this year the fiercest competition ever.
I remember two years ago maxout was a occasion and transition at level 29 about the end. Now what?!
Fractal is so likeable. Such a genuine dude.
The commentary was exellent!!!! Enjoyable
Thank you!
Fractal is an awesome player (frankly they all are!), but oh my god I wish he'd stop looking at the other player's screen and making mistakes... I mean sure he got out of them all with incredible skill but it's making me want to shout at the screen like a drunk sports fan! XD
wait i just skimmed the vid where did i misdrop after screenlooking? like i def make a ton of mistakes but that's just because i'm me lol.
Like it matters really, guy literally has the most perfect combination of skill and luck pretty much ever/humanly possible.
@@fractal161 no i watched through the whole thing, only had that dead drop T in the last game but other than that you played phenomenal. Cant wait to see you plow through ctwc!
he does that in this game because of they are using same pieces.... that way he can see wich piece is coming since Andy is usually some pieces ahead.
Hoping for a 5 round match up with a 1 game decider
I swear to God, Fractal just deliberately gets into dangerous situations just so he can show off his digging skills lol.
Also I bet the whole "Fractal is boring to watch" thing was getting to him when he lined out the kill screen during the past few CTMs.
I didn't know there was a "fractal is boring to watch" thing. Never heard anyone else say that. I find his games very enjoyable.
@@IRNjuggle28 There was like one person who said that on the comment feed for Fractal vs Dog and now this guy is pretending it's a movement
Нас ждёт битва титанов.
We are waiting for the battle of the titans
so I just want to see for the championships in Portland is there a qualifying something available at Portland? Or anything I'm new to this world and want to be involved.
There will be live qualifying in Portland this year! Make sure you attend from October 14-16th!
@@ITZsharky1 I will be there I just want to make sure there isn't an additional thing to sign up for so I don't miss it.
Glad to watch this amazing tournament! And I appreciated that the flashing lights that happen when a player gets a Tetris were not present in this stream. Will the flashing effect be removed from the stream of the main tournament, so that photosensitive viewers will be able to watch?
I can't say for sure if flashes will be disabled during the main tournament. Under the way that the matches had to be stream, we couldn't have flashes show up on stream
@@ITZsharky1 I understand. My partner is photosensitive epileptic and would like to watch the games, but can't watch the ones with flashes. It would be great if she and other photosensitive Tetris fans were able to watch the tournament, but I understand that it's a difficult technical question for you guys.
@@Los499 I'll mention it to the organizers of CTWC and see if they can accommodate. :)
@@ITZsharky1 Thank you, Sharky! And amazing job on commentary too, as always.
@@TD75 I'm completely within my rights to make a request for this accommodation, just as you are within your rights to make a case for why you think the flashing should stay. Ultimately, CTWC has to make its own determination based on the various competing needs of its audience. The difficult process of reconciling competing interests between majorities and minorities is the core of a democratic society. The fact that you chose not to put together a reasoned argument for why you think the flashing should stay and instead threw up strawmen to attack me for even broaching the subject shows that you are either hostile to an open discussion or incapable of intelligently participating in one.
Frankly, there is no logical reason why anyone should respond with such hostility to this innocuous exchange between me and Sharky, and reveals only deep-seated resentments and insecurities on your part. I can only speculate as to what the root of your petty frustrations are, but you would probably profit more from working through them with a psychologist instead of venting them in CZcams comment sections.
Fractal continuously looking over at Andy's screen throughout the game got me wondering if it would be a viable strategy to see which pieces are coming up when the other player is slightly ahead (like in the first half of game 2 here)
Yes, most of the top pros admit to doing it. I think you want to keep it simple. If you know that the long bar is coming within the next 4-5 pieces, you don't want to burn too aggressively.
Andy is my man!!! Stay focused and be aggro!!!!
I feel for him man just like 4 months ago Andy was the one seemingly at least for time being surpassing his Brother after all this time only for frickin Fractal here to come and take both of there thunder and suck a bit of there confidence at the same time, its all fair and all i'm definitely biased in favor of Dog and Sidnev and Nenu etc, but I mean fair is fair Fractal pretty much maxed out the game its impressive, I think i'm in the extreme minority here though and in a way, in a way! I miss having level 18 and the various skills and styles actually matter but now its essentially almost to the point where you could be ahead by 400+k at lvl 29 and a guy like Fractal- though to be fair sometimes especially when there confidence/mojo is on Dog/Andy/Eric etc can chase down, but Fractal can literally and I do mean literally chase down anyone anytime while laughing and frustrating the living hell out of his opponents though unintentionally lol. Its all fair and amazing for sure but just the way it is for now or possibly the immediate future, as good as Dog and Andy and Huff are and Eric etc Fractal can simply chase any of them down pretty much 98 out of 100 times! heck it even seems like its legit getting to Dog and Andy mentally a bit ya know, but will see how next few months go, but for now Fractal pretty much stands alone at the tipy top lol. Also it almost seems like Alex did better without rolling? which sounds bizarre and probably isn't true its likely just a total coincidence, that the elite players made this significant jump in levels at the same time Alex transferred to rolling to, but it does seem that way ironically.
I'm not doubting Fractals talent end efficiency, but for me Tetris is an art, and in that regard I subjectively prefer Andy and Dog. More style, more heart!
Fractal is just that guy. Love the way he plays
I know this might sound oddly sentimental, but every time I watch CTWC in the past two years, especially the finals, I just wish Jonas was still able to see them...
Especially with the new rolling technique.
That being said, even if he'll be the eternal GOAT, I'm glad others are still passing on the torch.
Fractal, you absolute beast!
Firstly, where are James Chen and Chris Tang? Secondly, what happened to the production values of 2019?
1. This is a regional qualifier event for CTWC not the CTWC itself. Both Chris Tang and James Chen aren’t in Texas, which is where this event was held
2. Production values for this event were lower in comparison to CTWC 2019 because simply the event didn’t have access to a lot of resources that CTWC has in terms of cameras, lighting, audio stuff etc
Good game.
God mode
Yes
3:30 CDT?
GG. Where is interview and trophy?
There was no trophy for this event due to a strict budget and interview couldn't be done because of lack of time left
at the venue
im 6 hours late, but Im here!
Awasome fractal 👍👍
You think Fractal's in trouble and then two three pieces later he's coasting
Love the new kids but I really miss the old crowd, the first 8 years were my favorite when it was just a small community
Especially when you didn't have to master the controller and you could focus on placement. Now alot of physical speed needed
The vibes of pre joseph era
Ждём озвучку от Юрия)))
We want blood! We want blood! We want blood!
oh my god! that fractal is a human?
6:30-6:56 not really a great solve it was great rng that helped if he keeping getting those S pieces he’d be in deep trouble
My PB is 425k... my lvl 18 PB is 215k... I just don't get how they think so damn fast...
It comes with time :)
Fractal seems like he’s the only one left havin fun 😢😅
Happiest player since GreenTea!
will the ctwc stream on twitch
Yes!
Where is Eric?
12:34 Lol
will fractal be the next Jonas?
Andy походу просто не справился с нервами. Поздравляю Fractal'a c победой.
Andy simply couldn't handle his nerves. Congratulations to Fractal on his victory.
Не ну фиг знает, больше кажется что ему просто сильно не повезло.

FRACTAL IS A GOAT
King Fractal
Andy lost concentration , just focus your game kid Andy
and so i sayyyyyy.......
WHO LEFT THE DOGS OUT!?
Fractal does a lot of flaws while playing but I'm not sure if I would be as impressed as now if he would play perfect
can anyone beat Fractal?
Seriously can Fractal even like lose anymore.....I mean ever? dont get me wrong its impressive and masterfull as hell but I think he's literally maxed out the game and like thats it he just wont lose ever again now for years unless he has a random fluke 1-100 off day lol.
I agree, Fractal just seems so untouchable now.
Like he literally makes mistakes on purpose just to spice things up.
How!
Players are so good now they should just start at lvl 19.
I think in CTWC. CTWC trophy must change every year. Maybe vote or something. It will be good if the champion will have different piece
andy looks sore end of match lol
Andy can challenge fractal even with a shit controller lol
Biased commentary
I’m sorry that you found my commentary biased. I tried my best to call each player evenly but fractal was in danger a lot more times than Andy. But outside of that I’m rooting for both players. Thanks for the feedback
@@ITZsharky1 I disagree that your commentary was biased, although I did notice that you seemed to be focussed on one player at a time more than in the other matches I've had the pleasure of hearing you commentate on... I'm wondering if you were simply starting to feel a bit tired? Still great commentary... Thanks!
You're just calling it like it is. Some people just don't like to see their favorites lose lol.
@@longleaf0 I focused a bit more on fractal because he was always in trouble. Andy on the other hand played less risky I guess you can say
i loved the commentary, rly well done. you always focus on the game and call out good plays. makes it way more enjoyable 👍👍
