Les Paul signs your LP pick guard and you don't take it off for safety???
xeniousAR you could also clear coat over the signature... at least I’ve heard that for signature’s on a top or back... don’t see it being too much of an issue on a pickguard, as long as you don’t use something that will react with the plastic.
I first thing I said was why destroy the signature. It’s pretty much gone

I think they're safe. Lemmo didn't played the songs exactly as they are, I think he made his own versions just to avoid being blocked. Not only talented but very smart guy too.

While the add is running, before the video even starts, let me guess, fender super reverb. Please at least once use a jcm 800 or plexi with the gibsons.
Well I guess I was wrong.. a TWIN reverb which dont get me wrong is a great amp but a jcm800 or plexi would sound amazing with that guitar.
You’re still getting to know these Paul’s Lemmo. Still fighting it a bit.
Can’t wait to hear GOTD when you finally work them out. It will be awesome.
Maybe just try some cleans and some light breakup and I reckon you will discover the magic.

Im pretty sure the amp is a silverface with the master volume pull boost. The boost is horrible and the reverb just made it worse. Twin reverbs are just not to be cranked at all.
Also i was hoping for something more classic on an R9 like a some beano clapton or peter green literally anything than what he played.

So how much is a real 59 worth if it was in mint condition with the case in mint condition. Just wandering for a friend.
@@dhfd200 a sunburst with highly figured top? easily $400,000, if it had a famous owner, that Dan go up to $700,000. 59 is the year (and the sound) everyone knows, and everyone wants. Estimates are Gibson only made 650 or so of these in 59. High demand, limited numbers, the price takes off.
@@joermnyc these reissues really aren't that expensive. I wouldn't call them cheap, but definitely affordable.

As always mike plays great. In my opinion the range of the guitars tone is incredible but sliding toward the low end side of the spectrum farting out on the neck pickup and sounding like a neck pickup in the bridge position.

Love the daily videos but can you please mic the amps better? Michael needs a lavalier and then put a mic up close to the amp at least .... the sound is really lacking.

Reverb-a-holic. You need to put a Boogie or Bogner behind that one. That'll ween you off Reverb, the crutch.
Just because YOU don't care for reverb, doesn't make it a crutch.
It's a cray guitar no question but I wasn't real impressed with the sound , I don't know maybe the drop D was a bit out of tune , maybe it's the fact tht an LP really deserves a Marshall , or maybe it's just the p/u's , I mean it's hard to duplicate the PAF's , the playing was outstanding as only Lemmo can do , but something was just a little off the classic LP sound , or maybe it's just me , thanks guys.

Everybody bitching about the guitar and/or the amp choice. I've heard a lot worse than this right here many times. And I am a Gibson detractor.

Prefer 2018 R8s my favourite guitars. What let's this down is that awful amp sound absolutely crap...
Probably the mic flubbed out. Couldn't handle the bass. Or amp had to much gain. Only highs were coming through

I was afraid my ears were off today given its a vintage les paul and lemmo playing it. But to me didn't sound good at all, unpleasant tone and i think it's also out of tune
Sorry, to me that guitar sounds" fake dirty " for lack of a better term, not one of lemmo`s better outings either. Can't give it a thumbs down cause it's still lemmo, but I wouldn't buy it.
