I really questioned if I could record directly into my FCPX software with my webcam and you answered me beautifully. Your tutorials are so easy to follow. You are so incredibly talented. BUT, still a really useful way to record with your phone and be able to actually see what your phone is recording, as opposed to having to stare at the back of your phone or use the lower-quality front facing camera
what happens when quicktime doesnt recognize the iphone and or the dslr/ external cam? ive gone intl the settings on my imac but the external wont pop up as an option 0:57

I'm thinking perhaps I can just download it again but I can't seem to find a download for QT 10.5. Apple stopped supporting it in 2018, I just learned. Any tips?
Is there a way to use the Facetime or GoogleMeet camera instead of the HD Facetime from Final Cut Pro? I ask because the FCP camera makes my face look asymmetrical, but when I use GoogleMeet, I look normal.

You don't need to connect iPhone via a cable to your laptop to make it record, it also works wirelessly.
