My only concern is flooding. I know Austell had a major flood once.

I used to live in Austell! You did Austell Justice. It’s a nice quiet place with great interstate access for 20 and 285. Also if you have kids Austell is also the home of Six Flags Over Georgia. I’m definitely moving back!

I needed a good resource like this! I recently moved near Atlanta, I am currently in Stockbridge and currently renting an apartment but looking to rent a house in another suburb. New subscriber here, I am on the lookout for more videos and more information. Please let me know of more affordable, safe areas outside of the city where I could possible rent a home that is close to good schools.

You missed some of the best Pros. Lots of city parks where people can walk or sit or children can play on the playgrounds. -- neighborhoods that are safe to walk in. Another Pro-- big trees that provide lots of great shade. If you like older historic homes, there are several.
One Con, and I assume you are being honest here, you do hear trains - lots of trains. Track runs through the center of town. Over time, you get used to them and don't really hear them any more.
Very well done! I get the feeling that Austell will have more businesses heading their way because of some of the things that you pointed out most importantly the affordability of living. I have questions concerning the educational aspect of it all, one being is there a great school system out there? Are/is the local high school competitive? Are there things to do like pickle ball, and tennis? Is there a pickle ball association? Is there a local brewery with great food? Are any Asian restaurants available? Also I didn’t see a Marshall’s my wife loves shopping there? Is there a Kroger and Starbucks available? I’m just kidding. But on a serious note is the area prone to flooding and is in a tornado zone? Once again excellent video with some great independent artists in there, well done 👍🏿
There is a Starbucks, Kroger. There is an awesome local brewery downtown. I’ve been here for 15 years and I can tell you it’s definitely on the come up! It has all the major amenities you’d expect in any major city. If Austell wasn’t close to Atlanta it would already be bigger than it is. Silver comet trail is everywhere and there are basketball, cycling, tennis courts, fishing, trails, baseball, golf course, movies etc. Schools are mostly Cobb county so really good depending on your relationship with the teachers. No substitute for good parenting. I love Austell I’m sure if you lived here you would too!
