Catch n’ Cook - Bacon Wrapped Tiger Trout!

- What’s up guys, welcome back to another video! Summer is upon us and the days are long and the fishing can be slow, but after hitting up one of my favorite trout spots I was able to hook into a few fish including rainbow, brown. Splake, and tiger trout. I was using a f5 rapala in a gold color and later switched to a good old fashioned locally grown Night crawler.

The way we've always done it is to put the bacon, scallions, lemon, etc inside the fish and then wrap it in foil.

Try this. Tiger trout. Put some bacon, onion, butter and seasoning inside it. Wrap with bacon, and cabbage leafs. Then tin foil, tight. So no juice leaks. Cook well.

Where is that stream?
Nice variety, so cool how you have so many different types of trout in one place! Do you ever worry about trout picking up pollutants after having been in there for more than a few months? I am sometimes hesitant to keep holdovers for that reason, though I'm not really sure of whether or not amount time the trout have been in the stream affects that. I'm guessing that your streams are cleaner than mine, but I don't know much about water pollutants.
Samson K 20 the streams I fish are usually really clean, mostly spring water and most of the trout are wild so I don’t think any of them are polluted. I’ve never heard of trout getting polluted.
Ok, I figured as much. That sounds awesome. For the most part I only keep recently stocked rainbows, since wild trout are a little harder for me to come by, and also the wild trout I catch are almost never big enough to keep anyway

I wrapped trout in bacon, it taste okay. Just the bacon flavor over powers the fish flavor. I started to grill my trout on cedar planks, or cedar planks wraps soaked in water.
It does over power the trout flavor but the two still go very well together
