I won't be reading the comments from here on, at least not on this video. It's just not good for me - but it's also a shame because I like interacting with pleasant viewers. Here's my message, which I implore you not to willfully misinterpret.
My channel is - and has always been - about scrutinising people, cults and social dynamics according to actions, and not immutable characteristics. Few had a problem with the countless videos calling out Tom Cruise. Others I've analysed include extreme ends of Mormons, Scientology, Hasidic Jews, Islam and more. But while most people were happy for me to do so, and seemed to like my work on those people and cults; my negative appraisal of Meghan has caused a furore among a small but vocal minority of viewers.
Many have reacted in a tribal thought-terminating fashion reminiscent of the cults I often cover, which is understandable. We all feel protective when someone we like appears to be unjustly in the line of fire.
However, I would ask you to please assess whether jumping to the fact that I am 'a white man' really adds to the dialogue...and whether your obsession with skin colour really convinces other readers and me that you're not racist. I get about 100 bilious anti-semitic comments on here a day. It's painful - it never stops hurting, you never get used to it - but that doesn't mean it is a shield I can hide behind. It doesn't mean I'm not responsible for my actions. And the same goes for Meghan.
I have no doubt that there are racist people out there. In fact, there are a lot of them. As I just wrote, I've encountered it myself. And so I do want to add this: anyone who judges Meghan because she has a black family member, or because she is mixed race, or 'a minority' - and those people DO exist in droves - is not welcome here.
Finally, I would say this: you are welcome to disagree with me on Meghan, just as you might with Tom Cruise etc. I love plurality of opinion; I thrive on it. But I'd ask you to consider Hanlon's Razor: 'Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.'
What I mean is - if I am wrong; if Richard is wrong; it might just be that we don't like a particular kind of person. I'd say a lot of the same stuff about Diana, and Prince Harry himself. Also, we might have misinterpreted her actions; we might just be wrong. If you find yourself jumping head first into 'this person must be racist - consciously or not', that might make you feel good about yourself.
But I find it's always better to engage in IDEAS, not assumptions. Thanks, and love to you all, even those who do dive in a little fast. I know 99% of you mean well, even if we do disagree.

It's too late, and I am too jaded right now to write much... but I do want you to know that I agree that those 'coming at you' and accusing you of racism are doing so with no credible rational whatsoever. The trend to accuse others - who hold a different opinion - of some sort of ism or phobia is childish and (to use the word of the year!) Gaslighting. It is also invalidating and manipulative 🤔 MM has shown herself to be a Liar and manipulator, time and time again...(not that I care about the royal family or who they marry), but I initially thought it was a positive and progressive thing that Harry was, apparently, marrying for love, not a marriage of convenience based on status / title. But I have no doubt that MM is not acting in an honest or benevolent manner.

I once heard a woman describe the feeling as "being skinned." After abuse, I remember telling people I felt like I'd been put through a cheese grater. People who haven't experienced it will never understand the mental of physical toll narcissistic abuse takes on us. And I kind of hope they never do, but they could at least listen. I'm sorry that you're going through this. God bless you! AND YOU WILL HEAL. I was 18-21 when I was abused. It took a while for the PTSD symptoms to stop, but they did. Therapy, especially EMDR, is wonderful. Please treat yourself if you can! It really works.

That wasn't a lie. She said they had a private exchange of vows-which is rarely legally binding. The Archbishop never said there wasn't an exchange of vows, he said the legal marriage was the day of the public wedding.

I suspected there was something wrong with her based on her interactions with her family, but I thought she should have the benefit of the doubt. Turns out my intuition was correct.
I think Prince William and Prince Philip new what she was like but Harry just ignored their advice. So sad for Harry, I hope he survives all this.

In the Serena Williams interview we barely heard from Serena. And when MM told the story how in South Africa they were staying in a 'housing unit'. When in actual fact it was the British Ambassadors fabulous mansion.
I am the child of a narcissist & an even worse sibling. I continued with my sibling for 60 years. I couldn’t believe they did not have my best interests at heart 🤷♀️ since going no contact my life is SO much better. Quiet & peaceful with no more dramas! I would recommend it to anyone. 💕🇬🇧🏴

Same here distancing cutting ties with parents and siblings as they have never had my best interests as I did their. Mocking my illnesses and conditions, I got fed up being the scapegoat and butt of all their texts , having jibes and mocking me. I saw their texts… glad I did actually - I now feel free and living my best life

From the very first interview when they announced engagement… I immediately caught on how she kept interrupting Harry and taking over the conversation. She saw Harrys insecurities and instead of helping him and supporting him - she exasperates it to her benefit! She is truly a horrible person.

This reminds me of them in Oprah's interview when Meghan was on and on about having to learn the national anthem and nobody offered her any help. Harry tried to say something but Meghan immediately touched his knee and said "sorry, but.." and continued complaining 😕 I couldn't help to think that maybe Harry was trying to say that it wasn't true, because she WAS offered some help 😅

Polls are just a collection of opinions; the only objective thing about a poll is that it is a poll. Even the pollsters, themselves can easily sway opinion by the type of questions they ask. This is why proposals on election ballots are written the way they are; for the uninformed & not so intelligent to vote a specific way.
Likeability is not objective; there is no scientific likeability criteria - at least not one you follow or know of - even if millions of imagined or real people agree someone is likeable or not. It's fine you don't like her, but please let's not pretend it matters at the end of the day. I could easily say, "I don't like you." Do you care? No. For external use, apply liberally.

She was doing this weird thing with her hands and then stopped when she realized that she wasn't going to get any response to her actions. There was another video of her at an event where she did the same thing with her hands while trying to engage with some of the people sitting around her. She was totally ignored.

I was married to a narcissist and the first thing he did was try to keep me away from my family and friends. Same thing she did and so far it has worked. And she had been married twice I believe, so white was inappropriate and in my opinion the “marriage.” Vows are Vows for a reason; “until death do you part.”

I wasn't in on the Meghan vs. Royals/British press issue at all until I watched the Netflix documentary. I've never been a royalist. In fact, my ancestors hung with Oliver Cromwell, for heaven's sake. But the thing that turned me off to her was the way she mocked the Queen with that bow. I've read some people say she was mocking herself but that was not my impression of it. When she did that, I had an instinctive feeling of revulsion. I didn't try or want it to feel that way; it just did. And, it was instantaneous. It was abhorrent to me. And, I hadn't been in on the soap opera whatsoever & I'm still not. But I can never unsee that bow. I think she's a hideous creature just for that bow alone.

I worked in the Entertainment Industry and at one point in time our studio was next door to the studio where her father worked on General Hospital and I NEVER HEARD OF HER until she got her claw into Harry at their engagement video.
I’m American and I didn’t even know she existed, much less that she was mixed. Most Americans today are mixed with something.
This happened to me. My husband tried to isolate me from my family. Wanted me to stop working and going to college. I left within six months. Didn’t wait for alimony or money. He flipped from being a nice guy to controlling. He was very successful. I had been a missionary in South America.

Well, you were way "smarter than the average bear" for figuring it out and getting out so quickly! Kudos! Most women (me included) stay too long and end up with alienated family and friends, no job and no money. If there are children involved, double the trouble. There ARE local/state agencies that will help you get out and the freedom gives you enough will (and a more hopeful kind of fear) to make it work. Hard times but glad to be yourself again. Some of these guys are so slick at what they do. I'm getting older and have enjoyed being single...and having fun with my family, friends and coworkers again.

As a black woman, not even I knew Meghan was black. I would've never guessed it without seeing her mother. And her social circle seems to be all white. I thought she was a sun-kissed white woman or Spaniard or Italian or something. From what I saw of the media coverage, everyone celebrated their union. Including the Europeans. I got the impression that people viewed the addition of a half black person to the royal family as progressive. She pulled the race card when it became convenient. Meghan never sat well with me and in due time we'll learn more. Harry and Meghan will be divorced in less than 3 years. I don't wish it. But I do predict it.

The way she isolated him away from his family, that to me goes beyond standard millennial behaviour, that's a narcissist's move to control someone. I'm sure that if we were around her on a day to day basis we would find more narcissistic traits.

I think her identity depends on the situation. When she was a working actress, she thought it would be beneficial to be Caucasian therefore she would tell others that she was Italian. When she was dating Harry and felt pushback from others, she identified as black so that she could say that they disliked her solely because she was black. It’s all a game to her.

I'm Hispanic and never knew she was black. Didn't think she was Hispanic either as a lot seem to think. I would guess maybe a 1/4 or half Indian, part white, and maybe something else. But if you gave me odds black would have been down there for me.
I think Meghan's ambition is social climbing through selfpromotion, portraying herself as a martyr and a victim. I'm sorry to say that something about her rubbed me the wrong way when I heard of her for the first time as Harry's about- to- be fiance. She moved so fast on him. I don't think she'd have succeeded with a more confident, intelligent man. But poor Harry was so emotionally damaged that he stood no chance. His previous girlfriends, the ones with ACTUAL ambition to do something with their lives, left before things got too serious with him.

People can dislike her, and she may be a tragically flawed young lady, yet I don't doubt the family could have treated her poorly, or differently. None of us were there, and Harry has backed up the comments and speculation made about their child's possible hair and skin colour combination. I think it's wrong-headed to so assuredly deny any frostiness on their behalf could have been in part due to her being mixed-race. Not fair to imply every member of the family, or palace staff felt so, but I'm inclined to believe there was some. Certainly doesn't mean we all must like her however!

Just to name two videos that were disturbing (among many others). The video of Meghan forcing Harry to hold her hand at the UN speech, and the more recent video of her actually reaching in to pull his hand out of his pocket and force him to hold her hand - those two alone were very disturbing. If the genders were switched and a husband was treating his wife that way, there would be red flags all over the place.

Pamela Boswell, I have to disagree. She has dramatically contradicted herself, blatantly lied on so many occasions that I've lost count. How could she do it and think she'd get away with it? Because she has a personality disorder. She lives in a fantasy world where what she is saying in that moment is absolutely true for her. When you listen to H.G. Tudor explain it, you finally understand. I have been close to several narcissists in my life and I never really understood how they could lie, cheat, steal - and never feel guilty when everyone around them was incredulous. And Markle did not exactly have a privileged childhood. She had a kind of strange one, actually. So her issues make sense. Regardless of the label or personality disorder, manipulative, insincere, dishonest, self serving, disrespectful, and hurtful behavior stands out loud and clear. Good on you, if you truly can't "see" the effects of men's power, domination, the pervasive history, that has fed into some of the current day conditioning/programming. Yes, it's not as often, super overt, and rampant, written into law to surpresa women (although that still was the care even in the 1900's, that women needed a man...because they weren't allowed to have a bank account, drive, vote, work many jobs, and so on)...it's more covert at times now.
It has nothing to do with women not having intelligence. Look at the rate of women in colleges, scientists, doctors...although that is mostly intellectual intelligence, and to be well rounded, and the most successful, emotional intelligence is imperative.

If you actually watched more than 30 seconds of it, that scene was Meghan explaining that she had incredibly short notice before meeting the queen, wasn't sure how to curtsy (especially as an American, who don't HAVE to consider the rules of the monarchy) and overcompensated because she didn't know the correct way to do so as it's obviously not something that's just known by the public. She was laughing at HERSELF for realising how ridiculous it was due to the overcompensation. The media loves to imply that the deeper the bow, the more respectful, until Meghan does it and now she's mocking the monarchy.

Knowledge is power. Thank you for putting the spotlight on narcissism & its toxicity. As a narcissistic survivor I have been empowered by a lot of information I garnered online along with some help from my psychologist which has lead me to finally tackle the monster which was nameless to me until just a few years ago. I've gained strength, courage, authenticity & most of all peace of mind & vigour for life like I was only born yesterday. I see a lot of me in Harry's characteristic behaviour as much as I see a lot of my ex in Meghan's. He's a true empath in many ways as she's a true toxic narc. I hope Harry will get the support he needs when he wakes up.

I'm actually embarrassed about how much I hate her. I don't really care about celebrities that much, but I have watched so many videos on her because I can't believe how transparent, dishonest and manipulative she is. The three celebrities that I've had this kind of fascination and dislike for are Elizabeth Holmes, Lance Armstrong and Meghan Markle.

Even the Kardashians worked hard at becoming the ridiculous celebrities we see today!!! The wedding was pure theatre, far more than any other royal wedding but I let that go because she was an actress. There were lots of little things where I thought she made bad choices and these just escalated - and the fake persona just shouted out at me.

A couple of uninformed takes from a 67-year-old Yank (whose late mother was a Brit war bride, born in London in 1922) who lives in rural Wisconsin, upper Midwest U.S.A. Toffs: King Charles is certainly a toff. It is not truly his fault, but he is. Prince William seems like a man who knows what a toff is and desperately doesn't want to be one but the gravitational pull he's subjected to through no fault of his own means he will forever be part toff, part normie. I suspect he'd prefer to be all normie but he respects the traditions and history of the office he holds, and the higher one he will someday hold, too much to not stay the course. The same is true for his wife Kate, who's the star in the relationship, which is why they work so well together as a couple. They are both troopers who want to respect the legacy and ethics of the late Queen Elizabeth II while also hoping to bring the monarchy into the increasingly casual, secular and, yes, vulgar world that is and will be. Harry is a psychologically damaged boy who's never been able to let go of the rage he felt at the loss of his mother. He holds the whole wretched (in his view) system accountable for his loss and suffering and wants out of it -- a decision probably made easier by the fact that it is pretty much impossible for him ever to be king.
