- Being a huge fan of the Rocky series, here's my piano adaptation of Bill Conti's "Mickey's death" -- in my opinion one of the saddest tunes out there in the movie history. I also play the bass part in the background -- I threw in a couple of whole notes, it adds a little more depth and emotion to the music. It's also a tribute to Conti's creativity and to the Rocky movies.

Whenever I’m sad or miss somebody I feel like I’m rocky with this song playing in the background me just reminiscing on my life and all the good times that are gone

Não chore, mas se o fizer faça com o coração. A humildade, a pobreza, a simplicidade. Como se a única maneira de ser e viver fosse dessa maneira. Ficar a deriva de uma vida melhor. Esse foi o personagem Rocky. Casal perfeito, época perfeita, trilha sonora idem. Ficou na história. Esse conjunto gerou um sentimentalismo único. Nada superará isso.

One must have a mentor like Mickey who keep you up in different phases of your life. One must have a Bossom friend like Paulie who keeps your secrets. One must have a best friend like Apollo who must shape up your weaknesses. One must be lucky enough to have wife like Adrian who can fortify you when you are down. Rocky was the luckiest person in his life.
Very well said. Although in his luck, Rocko wound up losing the most important people in his life, one by one: first Mickey, then Apollo, later the love of his life Adrian, and finally his best friend. Rocky is about losing life as much as it is about winning fights, if you ask me.

People focus more on the songs used inbthw traoning sequences but ive always loved the quiey songs that played in the background when Rocky was with Adrian when he was talking ro Micky when he was communing with his thoughts or when he was mourning.

It's that bit at 2:05 that does it for me. Something in Bill Conti's score- the songs always escalate in emotion and force even when fading towards the end.
