‘This is huge’ is an incredibly dramatic statement for what is on offer here… it’s simply a small update which provides the user with no real tangible improvements.

Has anybody else’s iPhones been getting really hot on 17.4.1? Exceptionally hot during charging and during light use starting to lag a little. I am on iPhone 15 Pro.

I'm on the 2nd release of 17.4.1 and the only issues I have are occasional touch screen issues and intermittent wifi drops. I'm using the 14 Pro Max.

I don't have the Stand By bug on my 14 PRO Max on iOS 17.5 RC. Everything is working fine. Only thing I do notice is some micro stuttering every once and awhile. Car Play is working fine for me as well. Battery 🔋is good I can easy get through a day.

Great video. I ordered iPad Pro 13 inch 2014 with M4 to replace my 2018 model. Looks fantastic and hopefully will be even better after WWDC. Would like dual boot however. Also ordered pencil pro but not Magic Keyboard yet.
By the way Friday today, which is Saturday and Sunday, the sun flares could be messing up radio, saying knows and cell signals
My battery life on 15PM after installing 17.5 rc - 12 hours from charging 100% now- 71% with 3 hours and 20 minute screen on time. Cellular network and Bluetooth on all the time.
I get that screen time on my 12

I’ve noticed a few things are buggy. Screen pictures are sometimes absent on incoming calls, etc
there is a bug in standby mode that many are still experiencing where the color controls do not appear for any of the clocks that STILL hasn't been fixed.
I have no bugs on my end
Yeah I’m experiencing the bug Aaron has mentioned and on my work phone it goes into standby and then turns the screen off. Not sure if it’s different because my 14pm has always on display and the 12 doesn’t or what else it could be. Also the 12 is not waking back up to dock mode it usually goes back to the Lock Screen but it is a employer managed device so that could play a role as well

I’ve been using the Timer a lot for cooking. I have to fight the app to try to get a louder sound. It keeps defaulting to a ding ding ding sound instead of the Alarm sound I’ve used for years. The new default sound is not loud enough if I leave the iPad in the other room so I’ve almost burned my meals several times. It also has the problem where it will get softer in volume, too, like the alarm clock function does.
I’m on the RC and I have the alarm clock issue. I was an hour and a half late to work because the alarm didn’t go off, even though the screen said it was.

Yes ordered iPad Pro 13 nano, 1GB, pencil and keyboard. Finger is hovering over the cancel button however based upon iPadOS 18.
I’ve noticed severely battery drain issues with the current update of 17.4.1 on ALL my Apple devices. (iPad Pro 6th Gen 12.9) my iPhone 14 Pro Max and even my Apple AirPods Pro 2 case. This is something I’ve never experienced before.. they all drain individually themselves even while not being used but twice the amount they ever used too. So they need to fix that asap
My device too, noticeable on 14 Pro Max, Device is feeling warm under light task. When using media app such as CZcams in 4K or scrolling social media like Facebook, it’s hot to touch. My iPad Pro is on 16.6.1 which is performing good with good battery life while my fri 17.4.1 is not!

This is so true, even my battery percentage dropped from 98 to 93 in past 15-20 days. Also overheating on simple whatsapp usage.
It honesty’s makes me not want to update my phone when we are paying for the most expensive stuff my iPhone 14 pro was 800 dollars bro and the battery is lasting like an hour or two less and I notice it drains faster

My iPhone (15 pro on ios 17.4.1) battery heats up crazy when on charging even when I’m inside a fully air conditioned room. Also I’m so tired of “System data” acquiring 56 GB of data out of 256GB. Really don’t know how to clear it out. I intentionally bought the 256 gb version so that I never have to face storage issues in my iPhone and yet here i am. This is so frustrating.!!!!!!

Hey Aaron, great video. I’ve had issues with CarPlay for ages now. It tends to happen in calls when CarPlay just stops. The call is still active anthe line is open but it doesn’t come through. My phone has been overheating too when using Apple Music

I always update to the latest version of iOS but honestly I never really had any issues with any of the versions Apple released. This might be because of the fact that I don't really tinker around on my phone, I'm an average user. Ony thing I notice though between updates is battery, in the past it drained faster under certain versions. I hope 17.5 will be just as good as 17.4.1, because for me personally the latest version didn't cause any issues.

Must be just me however the MacBooks & ipads seems to be the most focused on because IMO ever since the 11 , 12 , 13 , 14 pro max and regular models you just get a little upgrade in the software or add ons . Every update kills my batteries … this iPhone 16 series better bring something major or I’ll stick to my older iPhones. Great video

I decided to order the iPad Pro 11 inch 256 model. Currently have the iPad Pro 11 M1. Wanted to try the OLED display. Sad that my 2nd gen pencil will not work or my current Logitech keyboard will not work. Thanks for your videos.
So far 17.5 RC has been much better than 17.4.1. Battery life is not great however and I also get the random heating up on iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Great video Aaron What have i done i bought the samsung s24 ultra couldn’t swap my purchased music from the iPhone 14 Pro Max so had to get a new phone settled for the 15 pro max and now i hearing about all the bugs. 🤦♂️🥺 I’m worried now. Luckily the trade in of iPhone 14 Pro Max is enough to make the new phone only £400 and a bit so the hit won’t hurt as much if the phones dodgy with flaws.
Notifications in summaries are really buggy still, on iOS 17.4.1 iPhone 15 Pro. Also some bugs with personal focus notifications especially when clearing the individual ones (not the whole groups).
Aaron, my 15 Pro gets about three days on the battery. It’s on 14 it’s on 17.4 I have automatic updates turned off. I have automatic app updates turned off and the stolen device protection was draining about one percent per hour. I turned it off as well now I’m at a little bit of an advantage then that I’m blind, so I don’t have my screen on and I’ve turned the refresh rate down to 60 Hz, my iPad Pro that I use to beta the 17.5 fixed the Siri so we can pronounce words and I really haven’t had too much of an issue with it. Enjoy your program. I never experience any type of heat with the last update. I looked and I had nine apps waiting to be updated so I updated the tablet waited a couple of days and then I only.x

Overall the RC on my iPhone 15 Pro Max is great, except for the battery life, which is noticeably worse for me. Surprisingly, 17.5 Beta 1 and Beta 2 provided me the best battery since I’ve got this device lol
Ordered a base iPad pro 11" + pencil pro. Any questions I'll do my best to test and report back.
I'm on 17.4.1 15PM, I've noticed the system to be very laggy (but not slow) and the keyboard typing experience is HORRIBLE. Literally the keyboard does not spell what I type, it's crazy.
Can you bring attention to taking phone numbers from pictures. I work in a setting where I take pictures of phone cards and number list and I try to add the numbers from the photos but it often sees brand new numbers as numbers I already have in my phone which I do not.
and the wide spectrum is sometimes not work on ios 17.5

I traded my 12 and 13 for a 3rd gen SE and I experience no problems at all 😊 running the latest 17.5…the problem is the new developed devices being rushed..not the iOS 😊
My battery life on all devices has been phenomenal on 17.5 RC
iPhone 13 Mini 90% battery health. ios 17.5 RC has been phenomenal. Performance and battery life have been very good. Everyone will have a different experience but as far as mine i’m loving this build. BTW alarm clock bug is fixed and that god awful download over cellular for music is also fixed! enjoy guys, Aaron have a great day! 🤘🏼

Each time I get a spark of excitement thinking it is about iOS17.5 public release.
I restored my phone from new last weekend and when it was downloading iCloud back ups and Charging I got a message saying iPhone is hot and needs to cool down and stopped syncing

This has been so buggy... No one else has the lockscreen bug where the blur is missing while unlocking the device? Also playing subway surfers is laggy and the device is overheating. Shareplay isn't working properly either. Using iPhone 15 on this rc build. Utter disappointment

I get my iPad Pro 13» next week. Looking forward to Always On Display and Battery Health with charge cycles. And running single-core Geekbench test every day.
Anyone else have issues with the volume bar in control center glitching when you lower the volume? Very annoying.
Also standby mode seems to record screen time while I’m sleeping. I’ll wake up with 7 hours of screen time.

I think Apple really needs to fix their notifications and it's layout. It's too confusing and all over the place. I hope iOS 18 really focused on this.
Absolutely agree. They have to add the option to see chat history when you receive multiple messages instead of only allowing quick replies to one single message. Notification grouping is just poorly managed.
Waiting for iOS 18 here in the Netherlands, but in the mean time with iOS 17.5 we fiNALLY GOT BIKE ROUTES IN APPLE MAPS!!!!!!11!!1!!! Was about freaking time after nearly five years of waiting and 12 years after Google had it.

iOS 17 ruined battery life on my 12 Pro Max (assuming it's not age catching up to the phone) along with a bunch of other problems. Can't wait to get off iOS 17
Battery has been terrible since iOS 17.4 and 17.4.1 made it worse. My battery health dropped 5 in 2 weeks and I used to get 10 hours but now I’m getting 7 and a half
