I promise you Denver did NOT come to play.
Tell LeBron that not matter how he is cloud chasing and looking for validation, Luka will break all his records, bar enjuries. Tell him to set the bar wherever he wants, stats pads how he wants, when Luka passes him , he might get depressed... Hahaha
I swear half of Kyrie's team and the whole Mavs crowd had their hands on their head in shock, not even celebrating. The shot was so difficult it confused people.

@kashparty3034 let me break it down for you.. that shot was a game winning buzzer beating running SKYHOOK with his LEFT hand from 20 feet over jokic and the defending champs... i dont think you understand just how difficult that is.. tell me, what game winners were more difficult than that?
@@ezraprzytykyou’re not wrong at all. I’d say Derrick Fisher’s buzzer beater against the Spurs is a close contender though.

I was basically a fade away-floater-hook shot.
The angle while he was shooting it is what made it so crazy. Literally fading away to the left as he's tossing it in flawlessly.
Very impressive!
Kyries shot was crazy, Lukas 3point push-shoz buzzer beater against Memphis was also crazy...
Yes!!! Also Luka the missed free throw shot and rebound was crazy as well

I wouldn't call this gifted. It's the result of hard work and being forced to use your weak are as the strong one since childhood. Gifted is guys like bron and mj that are just born with better bodies
@@YunisRajabNah Kyrie is also just gifted. A hell if a lot of practice too but he is certainly gifted with skill.

The Mavs basically have the best two players in the league when it comes to skill, feel, vision and anticipation in trafic.

As a Nuggets fan, it was an amazing shot.
Dallas is gonna be a tough opponent for anyone come playoff time.

Lively holding Jokic to 2-8 despite being outweighed by almost 60 pounds is insane stuff from a rookie.
Yeah, kept fouling him and refs giving Jokic only every second call.
You do know that Maxi was defending Jokic most of the time Lively and Jokic were on the court together... right? Lively barely defended Jokic at all.

People need to also talk about the 32' three luka took intentionally at 26 seconds to allow this to happen, if he doesn't score on that shot instantly the nuggets are up 3 with 24 seconds left and the ball.

You're joking. The Nuggets were down double digits in the 4th. How many field goals and free throws did Luka miss during the Nuggets' run? How many wasted possessions with him dribbling out the clock? How many blown defensive assignments?

Kyrie is like a master jazz musician, just improvising art on the spot while thinking faster than you believe is humanly possible. Let's not forget the man was also fasting!

Kyrie is sensational! I love him on and off the court.
An absolutely sensational game. Kyrie was on fire. Both teams played hard.
This game was amazing, no matter which team won. If this is where the NBA is going, then I’m IN!
Im coining his shot, "The Heaven's Layup", as it was way deeper than a Skyhook and that was pretty much a lateral moving layup!
Love the breakdown from yall
Tim Legler was lookin away how Rob Parker does on the Odd Couple the first couple seconds of this clip 😂
JJ Reddick OG of the sports pod game. 💯
I've watched basketball since the early 80s and I've never seen a right handed player hit a running left handed shot like that from 20 feet at any point of the game, much less a game winner. If you went out to the gym by yourself just jacking around you might hit that shot one out of ten times. That he made it over a 7 footer and it was Jokic makes it even better.
Congrats on the new pod with Bron. Saw the teaser and cannot wait
There has never being a player like him. Even at the most critical points or clutch plays, he is efficient and a treat for the eyes at the same time. Huge respect to Kyrie from Greece!

Luka hit a similar push shot from 3 against memphis which was crazy.
That floating Three-Pointer, yeah I remember... I agree, I'd put that shot about even with Kyrie's, and they did have a similar flare. Unfortunately there was no crowd when Luka did that.
That was Brooklyn. On Dorian too. It ended up being a bank shot so it’s not considered a true “hook shot”. Which is complete nonsense. Both were 12/10 in difficulty
@@iamchaunceman Nah... he was talking about the game winner against the Grizzlies during the Covid year when they were wearing the white and gold city jerseys. It wasn't a hook shot like in the game against the Nets, the one we're talking about was more of a Three-Point floater. After the loss that Strus and the Cav's put on Dallas, near 3/4 of the floor shot to steal a win. Dallas pulled their own one two punch to prevent OT and seal this win. The two centers have moved up to three and four on the depth chart. I think Lively is noticeably better sharing time with Gafford. I do love some Denver though. They were doing their 4th quarter defensive surge with their big boy team. Wow, really good game. Great finish!
That shot better end up on a Panini card so I can showcase it on my wall.
I think Derek Fisher's shot is the only one that is probably better. When you combine the fact that he had to turn and shoot without having a chance to look, how little time he had, and just the insanity of the shot, I think that is the only one that edges out what Kyrie just did

Luka 3pt bank shot skyhook over two defenders? Hello!?
More Legs always. Makes the difference every time on this fine show/channel/whatever.
You don't see a half hook often in todays game, but they were fairly common in the 90's (probably not with an off hand though!). It was used by players who used the skyhook but were skillful enough to adapt it for the play. I've seen Olajuwon take shots very like this one pretty often. Personally I used to practice and use this shot a lot at closer range when the layup lane wasn't open, as I thought the skyhook was overkill in a lot of situations.
You are right but even more so in the 80s. Magic used it most.
@@mrfatuchi yeah I can think of a few more for sure. Even Big Baby on the Celtics shot like this fairly often, at a slightly closer range. Funny how creative mid range isn't really a thing in the 3 point era.
That was not a hook shot. That was a long layup. He didn't hook it over his head or over Joker's hand. He shot around Joker's hand with a flick of his wrist.
It reminded me of how they throw shotput. Kind of an overhand push. I'll have to go back and watch a few more times lol
He sure DID, I had to rewind it to see exactly what he did and did exactly what he does on his layups - Excellent Observation
Much more of a floater than a layup but I agree, not technically a hook
Not a floater. Floaters ore shot over the top of the defender, not around the defender. @@shiningwizard202

Man, Doncic Era Mavs has lots of Buzzer beaters.
Paint points are like rushing yards in football
Btw OKC beat the Mavs without Luka. It was a very competitive game as well. Imagine if Luka was in that game tho.
Just for context.
Did anyone notice how, when action was setting, Luka made distraction on Kyrie's defender, leading him to the rim, while block was set for Kyrie to receive the ball. Then Kyrie delivered genially.
I don't believe in OKC or the Wolves. I think the best teams in the West are Nuggets, Clippers, Mavs, Suns, and Pelicans.
Luka game winner at the buzzer against Memphis a few years back is the most insane I’ve seen
It was a 21' left lay-up
i think Kyrie invented a new shot last night.
Don’t forget the man didn’t eat or drink that day 😂
At this point I would confidently state that the Mavs right now look like the biggest threat to the Nuggets in the west. Thunder still need 1 more year of development, Wolves need more offensive firepower and the Clippers always have some injury in the playoffs. Pelicans could be a wild card. Suns,Lakers have no defense and the Warriors have no legit athletic big man and Klay and Cp3 have been less than expected. Kings supporting cast around Fox and Sabonis have been underwhelming so I can’t consider them a threat.

Thats why im more impress with the guards like Steph, Kyrie, Luka and Brunson and those players who barely dunk. You're tall, you suppose to dunk, thats given. But if you're not that athletic, not given much height to play the game of basketball, only some players have an ability and dedication, but if you perfected your craft thats the real talent." all you can do is shoot" thats bs. People have no idea, finishing around the basket, making ridiculous layup, stepping back shooting threes, blowing by defender, shooting either left or right hand, that is the real skill and talent compared to just dunking the ball. Seriously.
Uncle Drew is by far the most skilled NBA player Ive seen in last 40 years.
Steph maybe comes closer and that guy the Professor is 🔥
How do these guys not know that Kyrie is left handed? He has said this on camera.
4:30 wait im confused i thought kyrie was originally left handed? so wouldnt this shot be with his dominant hand?
As far as I know, Kyrie is originally left handed but he mention in few occasion (including his post game interview) about his ambidextrousness. So, as for now, I'm not sure which hand is his dominant hand.
20 years from now, kids gonna say Kyrie was a plumber, imagine that lol
What's funny is that Denver put very little effort in this game from the start, does their usual higher effort in the 4th quarter and Kyrie hits a really tough shot to win and now Dallas is a contender is some of these analyst minds. Dallas will be lucky to make it past their first playoff matchup. Beyond that they are most likely going home.
Oh yeah Denver just mails in games, and refuses to accept challenges. That's something you see a lot in defending champions.
Lmao.....what a Denver homer Dallas hater comment. The Nuggets absolutely came to play and could have won easily. They were healthy and on a mission and Dallas stood ground and out punched them in the clutch period. Take your lumps like a man and stop trying to deminsh what the Mavs did.
