Me and my friend made a machine that crashed another friend's server out of a similar machine.. The difference being that the 6x6 chicken farm at bedrock level (completely hidden) then fired the eggs out back into the farm in effect becoming an infinite chicken snowball. We then routed the hoppers out of the roof so at the flick of a switch we were flooding the server with an unstoppable tide of chickens.
Well mumbos design was a bit bulky, so after building it I found out all you need is 2x1 blocks of lava, any blocks surrounding that, 2 pistons on side on a redstone clock (or just keep flicking a lever). Then all you need to do is throw your diamonds in ^-^
The diamond farm also duplicates all items you put into it. Just hop on in and you'll be duplicating everything in your inventory for a long while. Just be sure the lava actually kills you so that your items fall into the duplicator. (Dying in it also dupes your experience orbs.)
@KNFF ZORDOD you can see at 14:04 that the dispenser at the back of the machine is throwing diamonds before the guy even let his diamonds fall in the lava, definitely fake

The Chicken Farm has some issues. If you're having problems: - Set the comparator to subtract mode (right click it once, so that the single torch is lit.) - The lava dispenser has an issue. Go to the lava dispenser and remove the block under it. Replace it with a slab (at the top half of the block). This will stop the lava from being dispensed by the egg clock.
The year is 2020, right now there's a pandemic, and when I saw this video I switched the lava killing mechanism from the cow farm to the chicken farm. It works beautifully and it's so easy to manage

As @M commented, it has a few issues. 1. set the comparator to subtract mode (right-click it so the single redstone torch is lit) 2. replace the block underneath the lava dispenser with a top slab. However it's still not working for me very well. I keep getting feathers but no chicken. So, unfortunately I don't really recommend it for newer versions, but if you really want a slow/small income of feathers, it should work fine (with the tweaks as written above), lol.
ye so stupid it has a dispenser on the back that shoots diamonds but it has a lot stored in it, doesn't multiply it when you throw the diamonds in the lava they get lost... He trolled you bro...
Hey Mumbo, with the wheat, carrot, potato farm, I would suggest moving the lever around to the left side of the block, and placing a block above the redstone torch. Reason being, any kind of lag will allow the water to escape and knock both off, breaking it. Have experienced that with this design. Once I did what I said, no problems even with any lag.

Absol Playz lucky, I was in full diamond gear and full inventory of diamond and did a double backflip in to that lava head on thought I could duplicate myself. Helpful Tip: does not work
For those of you like me whose lava dispenser in the chicken farm kept malfunctioning, replace the solid block under it with a semi transparent one like glass. The problem arises because the signal intended for the egg dispenser goes through the solid block to the lava dispenser, causing it to be pulled on instead of off.
Maybe I've done something horribly wrong, but the wheat/potato/carrot farm just shoots bonemeal out at me, which then in turn just goes back into my inventory. **EDIT** Don't mind me, I'm just a moron that was using a dropper instead of a DISPENSEERRRRR *jumps off roof*
I just subbed to Mumbo and I saw the "diamond farm" at the end and just took it as part of the tutorial and have been wondering for hours how that shit would work... I feel dumb
To everyone: build it in a creative test world first xD whatever you want to build from a video, test it in creative because a: just because it works for them doesnt mean it will 100% work for you b: java and bedrock have different redstone mechanics for the most part and c: watch out for trolls like Mumbo xD You're still awesome Mumbo!

The wheat farm didn’t work for me in bedrock and I fixed it by setting the repeater to one tick and putting redstone under the redstone torch instead of the block just thought I would let people know if it didn’t work for them either
For mumbo’s chicken farm (6:50) you can actually just leave the lava ontop of the slab without any dispensers. The slab will keep the lava afloat just above the baby chicken’s head and roast it when it grows up immediately automatically
I know it's been a 2 and a half years. But make sure you put a half slab under the dispenser that dispenses the lava and not a full block because when an egg fires out, the lava will activate and not turn off until another egg is dispensed.
8:18 DONT put that block ! otherwise, when your dispenser (of eggs) fires, then the lava dispenser will fire (because the redstone next to it power the block you placed therefore power the lava dispenser) but only once causing the lava to stay !
In the chicken farm tutorial, you made a mistake. Either put a dispenser on the other side or switch sides for redstone that dispenses eggs. (redstone messes with lava dispenser and every time the egg dispenser shoots the egg, lava dispenser triggers because the block under it is powered).
Vladimir, thank you for pointing this out, it fixed my problem. To elaborate a little bit (while facing the front with the chest and glass) I switched the lava dispenser and the whole top redstone circuit with the daylight sensor from the right to the left. Now the lava pulses for a quick second every now and then instead of being switched on and off with eggs.
for the lava dispenser you need to place a transparent block to the side of the lava dispenser and at the bottom of the dispenser so the redstone pulse of a Automatic Dispense Thingy does not affect the lava dispenser (i used glass).
If you break the block under the torch, put a piece of redstone dust under the torch and leave the repeater at 1 tick the auto wheat/carrot/potato farm works for bedrock edition
Alex Pickles it could be also a timing thing with when you place the seeds but I’ve only used it with carrots and every couple times i place a carrot it wont grow but most of the time it’ll grow. Maybe it doesnt work with the seeds.

i got another EASIER way to make an automatic chicken cooker. 1: put three hoppers, the first one in the second one, the second one in the third one, but put the third one going into dispenser (make sure all the hoppers are above the dispenser). a dispenser. next make a redstone clock (look it up) and connect it to the dispenser. lastly get some chickens in the compartment with the three hoppers and let them lay eggs, the redstone clock you made earlier will make the dispenser repeatedly throw out eggs when chickens lay them. make sure that they are spawned on a slab on the bottom half of the block then place some lava onto the slab because the lava wont fall on the chickens, but when the chickens grow up the will go in to the lave and die. place a hopper under the slab that goes in to a chest, then the cooked chicken and feathers will go in to a chest. it is very wordy but trust me, its much more easy and compact. i hope you understood this.
Just That Random Guy ... that's not how it works because there is no item id for the partly grown seeds and a deactivated torch so you would be able to setblock it but not pickblock it.
actually a dropper. but yeah, fake either way. Dispensers wouldn't really work there, while droppers don't check wether there's a block in front of them or not, dispensers do, and they don't throw out items if there is. Or even if they would do for some reason (like in a snapshot or something like that) they'd probably get stuck there. while with droppers, it works by the same principle as an item elevator. quite simple actually, if an item is dropped inside a block, it checks if any side of the block is free (air) and if it is, it goes that way, while if it isn't, it goes upwards, and tries again. Basicly that's the reason behind the cross shaped, and 3x3 item elevators.

For those of you like me whose lava dispenser in the chicken farm kept malfunctioning, replace the solid block under it with a semi transparent one like glass. The problem arises because the signal intended for the egg dispenser goes through the solid block to the lava dispenser, causing it to be pulled on instead of off.

The wheat farm didn’t work for me in bedrock and I fixed it by setting the repeater to one tick and putting redstone under the redstone torch instead of the block just thought I would let people know if it didn’t work for them either
mumbo does his videos in java and java and bedrock redstone work a lot differently

For mumbo’s chicken farm (6:50) you can actually just leave the lava ontop of the slab without any dispensers. The slab will keep the lava afloat just above the baby chicken’s head and roast it when it grows up immediately automatically
John B. I don’t think so, the items get picked up through the slabs immediately after the chicken dies
I know it's been a 2 and a half years. But make sure you put a half slab under the dispenser that dispenses the lava and not a full block because when an egg fires out, the lava will activate and not turn off until another egg is dispensed.

8:18 DONT put that block ! otherwise, when your dispenser (of eggs) fires, then the lava dispenser will fire (because the redstone next to it power the block you placed therefore power the lava dispenser) but only once causing the lava to stay !

In the chicken farm tutorial, you made a mistake. Either put a dispenser on the other side or switch sides for redstone that dispenses eggs. (redstone messes with lava dispenser and every time the egg dispenser shoots the egg, lava dispenser triggers because the block under it is powered).
Vladimir, thank you for pointing this out, it fixed my problem. To elaborate a little bit (while facing the front with the chest and glass) I switched the lava dispenser and the whole top redstone circuit with the daylight sensor from the right to the left. Now the lava pulses for a quick second every now and then instead of being switched on and off with eggs.
for the lava dispenser you need to place a transparent block to the side of the lava dispenser and at the bottom of the dispenser so the redstone pulse of a Automatic Dispense Thingy does not affect the lava dispenser (i used glass).
You can switch the piece of red stone that accidentally powers the piston with a repeater and wire some red stone back

For some reason now it wont grow the wheat it ticks right and dispenses but the wheat never actually grows just gives me back my seeds
Alex Pickles it could be also a timing thing with when you place the seeds but I’ve only used it with carrots and every couple times i place a carrot it wont grow but most of the time it’ll grow. Maybe it doesnt work with the seeds.

i got another EASIER way to make an automatic chicken cooker. 1: put three hoppers, the first one in the second one, the second one in the third one, but put the third one going into dispenser (make sure all the hoppers are above the dispenser). a dispenser. next make a redstone clock (look it up) and connect it to the dispenser. lastly get some chickens in the compartment with the three hoppers and let them lay eggs, the redstone clock you made earlier will make the dispenser repeatedly throw out eggs when chickens lay them. make sure that they are spawned on a slab on the bottom half of the block then place some lava onto the slab because the lava wont fall on the chickens, but when the chickens grow up the will go in to the lave and die. place a hopper under the slab that goes in to a chest, then the cooked chicken and feathers will go in to a chest. it is very wordy but trust me, its much more easy and compact. i hope you understood this.

That's because the diamond farm is fake is a dispencer
actually a dropper. but yeah, fake either way. Dispensers wouldn't really work there, while droppers don't check wether there's a block in front of them or not, dispensers do, and they don't throw out items if there is. Or even if they would do for some reason (like in a snapshot or something like that) they'd probably get stuck there.
while with droppers, it works by the same principle as an item elevator. quite simple actually, if an item is dropped inside a block, it checks if any side of the block is free (air) and if it is, it goes that way, while if it isn't, it goes upwards, and tries again. Basicly that's the reason behind the cross shaped, and 3x3 item elevators.
