A WET AND WILD RIDE 😳⛈️😱 // Sawing Lumber for Abby's Fixer Upper House

- Today Abby stopped by and we are sawing lumber for her fixer upper house down the road. She needed a few 2x8s for her house, so we are sawing them and later bringing them to her house with the help of our Suffolk Punch horse, Baron. We didn't make it home quite before the storm, and it ended up turning into quite a wet and wild ride!!

Abby you have the most amazing parents. This is what family should be.
When the horse arrives at Gabby’s place, I feel like he should get a bucket of water and a couple of carrots 🥕… just thinking out loud 😊
Like her parents, Abby is a worker. I have been watching her channel since she started working on her house renovation. I commented to her at the start that she would become much stronger through the process. As I have observed over the year, she has. Like her Mom, she is very strong.
Yuuup, she is just like he mother !! Not afraid to get her hands dirty and tackle what needs to be done !! It's plain to see it's in her genes !!
Abby is going to make some lucky man a wonderful wife !!
She is SO TALENTED in so many aspects and is definitely not afraid of HARD WORK !! Good for you, Abby as I continue to follow your channel and eagerly look forward to seeing your house renovation be completed !! Onwards and Upwards !!
It's always good to see your girls with you. I see more of Abby since I watch her channel too. Today it was nice to see Jim & her riding to & from her place, side by side on the cart. I couldn't help but notice the smile of a Dad's pride in his daughter. It looked good on him.
I think it's wonderful that you're working with your dad to mill the lumber for your home. You'll always remember those times when you're living in it some day.
Barron has sure come a long way. Job well done with his training 👍
Baron's performing like a pro more all the time. I noticed he isn't fighting the bit so much now. He's making you a good work horse.
Great video!
Lol , the smile on Jim's face , when Abby said She was his Favorite daughter ! 🙂
Barron is doing so well at getting in the shafts and standing still. He has come a long way. And he looks so handsome.
Baron is doing so well. He didn't look like he was breathing hard at all, from the jaunt down and back!
I noticed how Baron did this mornin. stepped right over and stood. That's your good teaching Jim.
Wow Jim you have really done a fantastic job with Baron I seen the progress with him from day one . Great video as always
Baron is doing so well. You have done an amazing job training him
Brenda and Abby should get a chance to run the saw mill. Especially Abby, she is so smart she will pick it up in one try. Let Abby learn the saw mill. Barron knew to hurry home as the rain was starting, and he knows the way home!! 😀😃😄😊😸👍👍👍👍🐈🐎🍉🍓🥑🍞🥐🧀🥨🍕🍟🥩🍔
Sometimes Baron doesn’t act like a 4 year old horse. Some very nice lumber. Thanks for sharing your time.
You are an amazing family, so knowledgeable and patient. And Jim is like Superman, he make’s everything look easy, and I know it isn’t. ❤ Baron was amazing when he started to gallop, omg, what a powerful lovely horse.
Yes, I was impressed when Baron broke into a gallop. I've not seen that as you guys seem to walk everywhere !! What a great team your family is, with Jim, Brenda and Abby going flat out to get the lumber cut then loaded onto the trailer for a quick turnaround delivery to Abby's house !! The rainstorm reminded me of when we lived in Africa. BIG drops and hard on the tin roof of the barn !! Lovely sound !! Don't get that here in the San Diego
area which is semi-desert !
Thanks for the experience, Jim and Abby !!

Well, Baron sure got a chance to step it up on that trip
That was the best time Baron has had all week
Boy, Jim., I am really proud of Darren, he’s really turning into be a good boy.
I love that Baron, he's such a stud.
My dear Abby,
You are certainly a woman of MANY talents !! I follow both your and your Dad's channels daily !! So interesting !! Blessings to you ALL !! 🙏💕🇺🇲
PG here, The special effects, and elements you added to the video were really good. Baron was meant to be a star, he was prancing when first hook up to the wagon as he went by Abby. The Wet and Wild Ride was fun! 🤯🤯🎠🎠
With the price of lumber, at least in the South, Abby is really getting a good deal on dad sawing the boards. Looks like Baron is in a hurry to get home. Good thing living creatures don't shrink when wet. Tin roofs sure amplify rain sounds. Good to be out of it.
I am so impressed with how much progress Baron has made, he's a beautiful horse. you made it back just in time, another minute and you'd been drenched from head to toe.. Abby's done a lot of work to that old homestead, will make her a beautiful home when she's finished and one she can be proud of..
LUMBER !!! One of my tippity top favorites !!
The scene of the cattle in the pasture under the storm clouds is beautiful. A stormy sky gives a peculiar color to everything. This is the 2nd time I have watched this video. The videos never get boring. 🙂🙂🙂
Barron, is a champion today, very good Yraining Jim.❤
Jim, you have to be very pleased and proud of the results of all your training of Baron. You have a wonderful horse!!
Baron is really doing well. I am enjoying Abbey’s channel. That sky is really dark! Baron’s not sticking around in that downpour. Glad you made it home safe. 👍👍😊
Baron has got such a cute face!
Thank you Jim, for sharing your wonderful industrious horses and sawmill. It is a joy to watch this work being done.
Baron is doing so well. Ken and I love your family!
Jim! Baron has come a LONG WAY! You’ve really dialed him in! I can’t help but think that Duke and Earl will be next in the very near future…… you’re putting together a REALLY NICE working horse farm and I really look forward to you letting us tag along with you and your family and watch the progress unfold right before our eyes
You guys are awesome. I love the way you support one another. You made it back to the barn just in the nick of time… from rain to a down pour of rain.😊
I love how Baron still prances when he is hooked up to the single shaft cart. It's like he is saying "Look at me... I'm a stud muffin pulling this trailer all by myself." Thanks as always for the great content! Please keep them coming.
Baron looked like a pro! Wow he has come a long way! You trained him well Jim
Baron was awesome ! The storm never bothered him. Love the video.
what a great Dad Abby has. lol. Baron seems to be doing well and better
Your daughter is so grateful for the boards provided. She and team making great progress.
Good boy Baron! Gosh he’s sure turning into a solid farm horse. Abby & Dad adventures - making memories ❤
Baron has gotten much better at stepping into that cart. He's gotten very good and very confident at backing, but he still foal champs while he's doing it.
Jim and Brenda I love you do mostly zero waste on the farm. Burning waste from the saw mill, using saw dust to bed the animals. It sure is the way to go. Also Jim, on the way home without a load that Horse looked like a race horse he was moving what a strong horse. Love Abby's channel she has learned a lot.
Nice workout for Barron
Glad to see family working and laughing together. Nice smile Jim! God bless you all 😊
Jim, Brenda, & Abby what a great video! Baron did a great job taking the lumber to Abby's house, but you all had a wet ride home! Thanks for having me at your farm today, and always a pleasure to see you Abby!! Hi to Trudy.. Jim, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Great video today, just love Baron's conformation these days and he's so handsome. Thanks Abby for helping with filming, it was fun to watch the rain catch you two at the end. Was that Brenda standing in the rain to get a shot??? Oh my... Thanks for sharing
I bet Abby is glad the roof was dried in when they had a little break in the spring weather. those clouds look great with water
Baron was a good boy !
My Dad had a wood working plant and I worked as a tail boy on sanders and planers and edgers growing up during my summers and I’m impressed with Abby it’s not easy tailing a machine and Jim isn’t going easy on her you go Abby
Abby takes "sweat equity" to a whole 'nother level! 😊
That girl aint afraid to get her hands dirty! Just like my girls! Love her!
Jim, you have done an outstanding job training Baron!!! He really has made a wonderful member of your fantastic draft horses. I bet he would be a fun horse to ride!🏇 I enjoy watching Abby's channel as she shows the progress on her house remodeling! It will be beautiful once the remodeling is done and she gets to move in!!!!
Quite impressed with Barron in this post. He seems to have matured and become a dependable worker. Nice job training him, Jim. Can’t wait to see “the boys” in training soon.
You have beautiful hard working horses an Jim an your wife and Abby are hard workers.
seeing Jim and Abby together in the rain brings back so many memories of time spent with my own father before his passing, thank you
Baron did great. You should be proud. Love your videos 💜✌️
My youngest Daughter is my Favorite Too!! She's my only Daughter! Abby, you're a hard worker! And Baron got you all home in good time!~
The mad dash! Good boy Baron! So glad you got back safe and Abby got her floor boards! Jim your barn is looking beautiful and functional as ever! What a great place to be! Thanks for another great video you all!
That was a fun ride !
Greetings to Abby, Jim Brenda and Libby. I appreciate yoyr videos, and how well all of your horses, Chickens and Kittens thrive on your farm. ❤
Will Abby use the lumber without kiln drying? A true horseman, Jim, getting Baron out of the rain before you were inside.
Abby, I feel your tension on your and your Dads drive back. Wow❤
Thank you for sharing. Everyone just had a a bath. 😂😂😂.❤❤❤❤.
Baron is such a lovely and beautiful horse. Always like to hear the horses trotting on the road. 😊 You're blessed with all that rain. Green color wherever you look. Since yesterday we have had some rain, too, but it was raining heavily for just 20 minutes or so. The ground is not yet really sucking it up.
Good time in there just before the real major rainfall. And I bet you're burn enjoyed this little run too.
Baron is doing so well. He has progressed so much faster than I had expected. And he is a great looking horse. He got you home almost before the storm hit. Thanks for sharing.
Jim, your not sugar you won’t melt but Abby might and Baron too!!
Baron has come a long way in his training. He is starting to look like a seasoned horse.
Wow 😮 you made it just in time !!!!
You know that saw mill smells wonderful..as do the horses l😽🐴🌿🪵🌲
I love watching the show while I am sewing I am making a quilt and I feel like I'm outside it's so nice to watch this I watched it practically every time that there's a new one or sometimes it will go back and watch an old one. I love horses so I decided to watch this show I'm from Sherwood Park Alberta Canada. I also watch Abby Channel
I love the grin on Jim xxxx
Great video! Abby, as always, brings some refreshing life when at the farm.
Barron is sure trying to get you back to the barn!!!
Wow that was a perty good run there at the end. Baron took like a champ. Great video.
Messena mall had a good food court, arcade and great early 2000 fashion 😎
Those white pine shavings make the best bedding for horses too.
God bless you Jim and Brenda for raising 3 wonderful children who now adults and hard workers. Love Abby's channel along with yours..Baron has become a great working horse and he now walks beautifully into the shafts. Jim your horse training is outstanding... Baron said I'm hurrying home as that rain is going to get us and it did.. Stay safe and God bless you all..❤️🐎
I tend to like sawing. I did Abby's job at a circular saw mill for window making out of high school in the late 60;s before going into active duty in US Navy. I like your pierced roof that puts the image of the sun on the stock. We called the pile for the furnace the "offall". At least that was how it was pronounced. It is quite interesting how Jim can saw a few boards before pulling them off to the stock pile.
Question, I’m not a builder or a sawyer. If you are not drying this lumber, but using green, fresh sawn wood present challenges in construction? Does it warp, twist and lose dimensional size as it drys ??
Jim you have beautyful daughter. Greetiengs from Poland.
Well Jim your doing good at making dry hay during a wet weather haying season . You should be proud of yourself . Weatherman says no rain for the next 5 days, Good luck . Charlie
Your an idiot Charlie . Maybe no rain in your area but that may not be the case for Jim .
Well that’ll wash the sweat off your brow! Enjoyed coming along on the ride in the comfort of my dry house 😉
I would get Abby a pair of steel-toed boots for Christmas(or sooner). Shes a great help!
I’ve been watching Abby’s Chanel since last summer and always look forward to her next post. She’s a very hard working gal.
That was so Cool unhitching in the quick
I love Abby's channel ❤️ 💕...I love seeing all the things on the farm also.
Her house is coming right along. It’s good that Abby has chosen to make an addition, laundry room and bathroom, it’s best to “go for it” to build the extra when you can. When it’s finished the baths and kitchens add so much to the comfort of a home.
The barn appears such a long structure, or at least the camera made it look enormous.
Thanks for sharing 🙋♂️🐈🐈
Dear me! When it rains - it POURS!! Bless you guys.
Brenda I love your hair as is now 👏👍
Barron is awesome!!! He got you home just before the down pour of rain😃Great job Jim training him. I always enjoy watching your videos.
Super,Baron hast become a really good horse❤👍👍
Another beautiful video well done love it. Baron was raring to go back from the lumber delivery. I don't think that he wanted to get wet. Sorry that your hay got rained on I know that it makes poor quality hay. Jim you did a good job training baron. He stepped into the shafts like he has been doing it for year's. God bless and keep safe
running the farm is deffinetly a family effort, and abby sure knowes her way around the saw mill
Barron is acting like an old pro, I am sure you know how much he has learned. Good work Jim.
25:16 "Brenda, careful step." Funny how when he's working with the horses it takes him awhile to change his voice from command to wife mode.
Thanks for the wagon ride, been a while 😃
Good job Baron 👏
That fellow can run, can't wait to see Jim take Barron for a real run on an empty stone boat, YeHaa!!
Greetings Jim and Brenda (Abby, too !!)
I have been ardently following your channel for well over a year now and keenly watch as you work with those beautiful horses of yours. With your newest addition of Bree viewing has added a new dimension !!
Having said this and because I care, I wanted to make you aware of a hazard I have seen in your sawmill area !! And that is the large amount of sawdust, in, under and around your sawmill !! Sawdust is somewhat highly combustible and is likely to ignite under the right conditions !! As a retired petroleum executive responsible for over seven (7) fuel storage farms I am well aware of most potential fire hazards. And sawdust can be a hazard. Jim, I strongly recommend that you keep the sawdust around your sawmill at a minimum. Weekly removal of the sawdust woould be ideal, or pipe it to an outside fire-proof storage container for disposal at a later date !! Maybe you could spread it on your fields ? I don't really know as I am NOT a farmer ??
I don't want to be an alarmist, just wanted to bring your attention to this concern, BECAUSE I CARE about your family and livestock !! Better be safe than sorry !! 🙏💕🇺🇲
thank you, I agree, I should do better
Always enjoy your videos, Jim and Brenda. Just love everything you do on the farm. It's always good to see abby. I'm jealous we could use some rain in arizona. Thanks for sharing.
Another very interesting video Thank you
I love all of ya'll , lov from south alabama.
