I can't imagine any band writing three songs as different as Christmas Song, Halloween and Ants Marching, play them back-to-back, and make it work.
One of the best versions of Seek Up ever, was on the floor for this show...just wish I wasn't so bombed that I remembered it all lol
Halloween + Confetti + Dave Belting it OUT = AMAZING. I was lucky enough to be there and forgot how much it took my breath away! Thanks to all for taping/compiling/sharing! Great trip down memory lane
In a decade and a half of following Dave, this show complete w the snow event preceding it was one of the best shows I ever went to.
Thank you for allowing me to relive this moment in time.
Best show I’ve ever attended! Halloween was unreal.
Thank you to whomever caught the lions share of that footage! 🙏
Copperpot I just want to thank you for uploading this. Please don’t ever take it down. I’ve been to around 50 shows give or take and this was the only one my disabled father went to with me. We drove from Indiana to NY just to go to this. My dad went through a very aggressive bone cancer and amazing survived it over time. This was a couple of years after his last chemo treatments. We had nice floor seats. This past week we found out he has cancer again on his spine, in his lungs, and on his ribs. It’s stage 4. No matter what happens I’ll always have this memory with my dad. I swear on my life the two songs I wanted were Minarets and Halloween and we got them both. Thanks again my friend.
This was my 2nd year seeing this band and this show still stands out as one of, if not, the best show I've ever been to.
This is the first DMB concert I ever went to!!! I will never forget it!!!!!!
nice nice really nice show thank you!!!!
I miss Butch
Thank you.,...
Meeee too. 2021
Thank you for posting, brings back great memories, my fourth dave show! Third one that year, "The Stand Up" Tour.
Charles Christian I was at the show in Manchester a couple nights before and it was a nice little winter tour. I saw then for the first time six years prior to this and still going
I was at this show with a bad case of Bronchitis. I remember the the building shaking when the encore started. I remember saying to the wife...if they go into ants, they place will explode. And it did...the confetti was a great effect. It was a great show!!
My first DMB show ever! Whoever uploaded this is a legend; thank you! I've been to about 10 more since, but this might is arguably the best show I've seen. What a night!
Yay!¡
I mean yezzzz😎
This band is always amazing! I would have to say this was during their peak years which was the short period of time when Rashawn Ross and LeRoi Moore were on the horns together. Having Butch on the keys was great too.
Amazing Linus and Lucy!
Thanks for this. I was supposed to be at this but had to sell my tickets due to finals freshman year.
They are always jamming at every concert.... thank you !!!
Back to back shows that were insanely good. One of the best "DMB" weekends ever. All Hail MSG! All Hail DMB!
This was hands down the best DMB concert.
LeRoi Boi I miss you Papa. You wee a great musical inspiration and mind. I will always remember you through your great performances. RIP Boi.
I remember the excitement when Halloween came on. It hadn't been played in so long. Then confetti and the crowd, it was crazy. When the camera pulls out and shows the crowd, I can see myself. I was lucky enough to get warehouse tickets for second row (before pit tickets existed). And I also remember the confetti got into everything and I think Dave ate some while singing during the show. It was kind of a mess.
This was an extraordinary show! I just wouldn't have wanted to be on the confetti clean up crew. That stuff was EVERYWHERE!
This show was awesome we drove down and back in one night from boston! In my top 5 dave shows seen.
my first real concert in an area. 30+ shows later.. thank you
you are so lucky
what a great set....i remember having first semester of college finals the day before, of, & after and having to miss this show. what a tremendous string of songs: WWYS>41>OSW>SMTS>Seek Up. Then Minarets>Dreamgirl (which are rarely played nowadays) into Linus & Lucy. RR guest on Smooth Rider w/Jimi interpolations and Xmas Song to begin the Encore. Truly Special show. Thank you OneEyedWilly!!
thanks for posting, this was such a fun show!
The setlist looks amazing.
@Amy Robins-Holland
It's Mike Doughty. Read about him on Wikipedia. They know each other from the music scene.
Me & my brother are right there in the front row in front of Roi, was a great night!
1:53:24 ish -
I told my girl when Doty came out something like “Ohhhhh he’s the shitttt this is gonna be sick”.
Obviously it wasn’t sick. But props to Doty for saying See ya! and props to Dave for saying “when we’re in the city we like to call our friends up”
Then Randolph comes out and kills it like no one ever seen him before with dMb. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 All of it.
doughty's fuckin hammered
Amazing Haloween!! :))
Mike Doughty KILLS it!!!
@wanderthisworld97 I was just going to comment about this. Wow. He slipped into another realm. Unconscious.
Boyd was going all out during "Seek Up"
OMG Carter during Smooth Rider. So sick.
he self admits that he was practically peaking on ecstasy during this.
B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L - : )
It's the Goonies soundtrack in the beginning.
this is one of the best performances of "Minarets" ive ever heard. The 2010 and 2012 versions just dont sound as good without LeRoi.
I still can't get over how big Rashawn was. How did he lose it? I want his secrets.
wish i could see soul coughing too.
who's the guy with Dave during Jimi Thing?? Anybody know??
Mike Doughtey
0 dislikes.. just as it should be.
