It's easily achieved by just checking if they're in water, and spawning particles if they are.
This is how JBMod developers see their game.
the creators of jbmod didn't see the game like this and didn't insult gmod. this was done as a joke by another person who took the rights to the jbmod

I have like 37 realism addons in my gmod and it runs 35 fps in Intel celeron
But of course with low graphics
You should use Lambda Players instead, it's the sequel to Zeta Players
It would be cool if Garry's Mod was updated on 2024 or somewhere in the future
I recommend taking the sounds of footsteps from Tarkov, as for me, these are some of the pleasant sounds that we have in the workshop

new weapons, new hud, new spawn menu UI, advanced tool gun and the enhanced player model selector are probably my favorite
